Donate Here To Be Able To Buy Medicines As Soon As Possible

Today I fainted and was quickly taken to the hospital. After conducting tests, it turned out that I still suffer from low blood counts and a significant decrease in my body’s immunity. It turned out that the cause was due to genetic deformities that I contracted while I was in my mother’s womb as a result of her inhaling gases from a phosphorous shell that was thrown next to my mother in the 2008 war.

Donate here to be able to buy medicines as soon as possible

The doctor prescribed me many medicines, vitamins and supplements necessary to improve my condition and my father does not have the cost to buy them, so I hope you will help me by donating so that I can buy these medicines and be able to implant my teeth. Please, I am very young and cannot bear all this suffering and costs. Please help me by donating.😭

vini deserves so much better. nobody deserves racial abuse at all, and it is disappointing to continually see this same story playing out across club football time and time again. it is so disappointing that not only was he the recipient of racist words but he was carded and felt the need to apologize on social media. the fact that he got consequences for enduring abuse is such a joke.

additionally important, though, is every single black man in laliga (including vini) who have, will have, or are going through the same or similar racist violence from fans, players, staff, and referees. the entire league needs to do better at protecting players from this abuse, because nobody deserves this.

my heart goes out to vini, truly, i hope he is doing ok. he deserves so so much better. they all do.

Through popular request, the shark of the day is the Cookie Cutter Shark.

Two people already have been sad he was not included and to be honest the reason is that it was hard to find images of it in nature, since not many people would like to see drawings or the animal after being fished.

But here it is, and a few fun facts.

A very detailed drawing of a cookie cutter
An image of a cookie cutter shark taken of the front half of its body

The cookie cutter shark's scientific name is Isistius brasiliensis (we share a country).

The shark appears in warm waters worldwide (the name brasiliensis coming because the type specimen, the one in which they get described by science, was caught in Brazil), mainly close to islands.

Its very tiny, reaching 42-56cm (16.5 to 22 inches)

The name comes from leaving a round bite mark on it's preys, around cookie-sized, it has even been found biting submarines.

They have a parasitic lifestyle.

They are bioluminescent around the under side of it's body.

They stay deep in the sea during the day, but getting slightly closer to the surface during the night.

A picture of the cookie cutter and another (shark? i dont know which from the picture) from below, showing its underside and the mouth.

Their mouth to be kinda creepy tho.

Imagine you are a doctor from a war-torn region. You had to make the choice between doing your job saving others, and saving your own family.

This is Dr. Mohammed Al-Deeb’s story.

Story written by @wolfboy-awoos

Dr. Mohammed Al-Deeb was an emergency medical professional at Al-Shifa hospital for many, many years. Following the destruction of Al-Shifa, Dr. Al-Deeb continued to do heroic work on the front lines in Gaza, trying to save as many people as he possibly could.

But having his own family to save, he had to make the difficult decision to leave Gaza and flee to Egypt with his family. Dr. Al-Deeb is now asking us to pay that bravery and kindness forward.

Although safer than Gaza, Egypt is not a welcoming place for Palestinian refugees. Egypt has a decades-long policy of discriminating against Palestinians in education, social services, and employment, and many refugees struggle with the precarity of their legal status in the country.

This makes it incredibly difficult for Dr. Al-Deeb to provide for his family. He is asking for donations to be able to provide for his family the basic necessities that many of us have taken for granted.

As we sit comfortably in our own homes, especially during this time of year in the midst of the holidays, I ask of you to put yourself in the shoes of those who are not comfortable, those who are not safe. Dr. Al-Deeb needs your help, and if every person reblogging this donated only $1, $5, whatever you can—although it can feel sometimes that you’re just one person and the weight of the world is ovebearing—if everyone took just a fraction of their resources to do their part, we can make a difference, together. 🙏

You can donate to Dr. Mohammed Al-Deeb’s GoFundMe [HERE].

Israel Has Banned Children’s Insulin Injectors From Entering Gaza

Israel has banned children’s insulin injectors from entering Gaza

Children can die within a matter of days without insulin. In even less time a lack of insulin will cause blindness, nerve damage, and kidney failure.
