This is Aboud Al-Qudra’s reality. A Palestinian living in Gaza, Aboud once owned a business, a home, and a life that felt secure despite the tensions surrounding him. But over a year of relentless war has taken so much from him. His business is gone, his home reduced to ruins, and his family separated—some taken by the violence that has consumed Gaza.

Now, Aboud and his surviving family members live in a cramped tent, exposed to both the scorching summer sun and the bitter cold of winter. Food is scarce, clean drinking water even scarcer, and the chronic illnesses affecting some of his family members have been made worse by the lack of medicine.

Just this morning, Aboud sent us an urgent message:

"Can you help us today with $50 to buy flour to make bread? I swear we haven't had bread in four days. Please, don't ignore me. We need support, we need hope, we need life. We have only our prayers, but we need you for our survival."

Every dollar is a chance for Aboud’s family to eat, to drink clean water, to hold on for one more day. The goal of this GoFundMe is to help them survive the daily nightmare of life in Gaza—to provide food, medicine, and, if possible, a way out of this endless suffering.

You have to never get old. Never be rude. Never show off. Never be selfish. Never fall down. Never fail. Never show fear. Never get OUT OF LINE. It's too hard! It's too contradictory, and nobody gives you a medal or says 'thank you!' And it turns out, in fact, that not only are you doing everything wrong, but also, everything is your fault.

Through popular request, the shark of the day is the Cookie Cutter Shark.

Two people already have been sad he was not included and to be honest the reason is that it was hard to find images of it in nature, since not many people would like to see drawings or the animal after being fished.

But here it is, and a few fun facts.

The cookie cutter shark's scientific name is Isistius brasiliensis (we share a country).

The shark appears in warm waters worldwide (the name brasiliensis coming because the type specimen, the one in which they get described by science, was caught in Brazil), mainly close to islands.

Its very tiny, reaching 42-56cm (16.5 to 22 inches)

The name comes from leaving a round bite mark on it's preys, around cookie-sized, it has even been found biting submarines.

They have a parasitic lifestyle.

They are bioluminescent around the under side of it's body.

They stay deep in the sea during the day, but getting slightly closer to the surface during the night.

Their mouth to be kinda creepy tho.

I have always been deeply committed to protecting human rights and helping those in need. However, the recent explosions in Gaza have shattered everything we once held dear. Our homes, filled with love and precious memories, now lie in ruins. I haven’t just lost my house, i’ve lost everything that mattered to us.

My mother's home, my appartment and all it belongings. All gone, leaving behind only painful memories.

Despite enduring so much, we remained steadfast, helping others through their own times of need.

As 2023 approaches, the basic necessity of shelter looms over us. My hope was to rebuild our lives in Khan Younis. Yet, faced with the reality that Gaza is no longer habitable, we had to seek safety and a fresh start beyond its borders. Tragically, some of our loved ones remain behind, while others have fled or perished.

Today, my family and I find ourselves in the Arab Republic of Egypt, struggling to rebuild. Without proper residency or citizenship, it has been nearly impossible to secure work or provide our children with the decent life they deserve. All our attempts to establish stability here have failed.

I humbly appeal for your support. Though I am not accustomed to asking for help, I now reach out in desperation. Your generosity no matter how small can serve as a line of hope, helping us rise from the depths of this disaster.

Today is Eid al-Fitr BUT...

Hello, as you know we have returned to genocide, death and destruction... martyrs are everywhere, there is no security... today is supposed to be a day of joy and happiness and people visit each other to celebrate and not to mourn and offer condolences for the loss of their loved ones.😔

No food or drink and the crossing is closed... Eid al-Fitr is a holiday for exchanging gifts and giving children money but the situation is extremely difficult.😔😢
