Lewis Hamilton on Charles Leclerc:
“Of all in the grid, he’s the one I want to race alongside the most. It doesn’t matter how bad your team is, coming from the back of a title or not. If the opportunity to race alongside Charles comes up, you say yes. You tell me: what if it doesn’t work out? I tell you: what if it does?”

it’s always ‘i love you,’ but never
unreal unearth unheard has me unwell, unstable, and undone
i think it shld be more widespread for ppl to read aloud to each other as a means of spending time together. like even just a bunch of adults sitting together reading wikipedia articles or something
the feminine urge to literally just give up

daylight, you got me cursing the daylight
i started rambling in ur tags about this but it was getting v long so i hope u don’t mind me rambling in your ask box: ur analysis of mr schwartz is So marvellous & u articulated it so well, that’s Exactly what the song’s like!! i can’t put things into words as well as u did but it reminds me of the feeling like you’re floating outside of your body, like a moment of confusion and derealisation. like you can glimpse how you are perceived and don’t recognise or like it, but it’s like an expectation, or a necessity - thinking particularly of the lines ‘and if we guess who i’m pretending to be/do we get a prize?/having attempted twice both incorrectly/do we get a third try?’ GOD what a insane song
yeah!! expectation or necessity feels right. those lines + glove hand reaching in to hit the switch & there’s not one goddamn thing that you can do about it. i really like it… if there’s one thing alex turner will write about it is various phony male characters and usually its kinda scathing but i feel like he does it with more sympathy here and it MAKES ME FEEL THINGS
I still think that my favorite urban legend/folklore fact is that there are certain areas in New Orleans where you cannot get a taxi late at night not because it isn’t safe, but because taxi companies have had recurring problems of picking up ghosts in those areas who are not aware that they are dead and disappearing from the cab before reaching the destination and therefore stiffing the driver on the fare causing a loss for the company.
