- they’re all such good actors??? special mention goes to tommy constantly acting with the facecam, fundy insistently sticking to every bit of lore he’s ever dropped, and wilbur just refusing to drop character even when he’s doing technical stuff like fixing his mic, but let’s also talk more about tubbo’s voice acting skills, niki in general, dream’s phrasing and emphasis, quackity’s ability to turn bits into serious lore, technoblade (technoblade), sapnap giving his character visible development and arcs—

- new l’manburg is just. so pretty. 

- ghostbur

- the format! streaming an extended roleplay means that almost every character gets to tell the story through their specific point of view, which combined with the fact that the characters are mostly dialed-up versions of their actors’ personalities, means that everything is delightfully morally gray

- telling a story through slice-of-life style streams averaging 2ish hours each means there’s loads and loads of new content all the time. hiatuses don’t exist.

- whenever someone starts adopting someone else’s bits, like sam constantly going mmmm now and tommy rebranding quackity as big q

- adding on to that, the entire how to sex 2 bit, o7

- the ambiguity of whether or not some things are canon to the lore and when people are being serious, which inevitably leads to wonderful conversations where one person’s in RP mode and the other person’s just vibing

- lore and acting ranging from serious, compelling, and emotional to absolutely off the shits

- how interactive they are with the fanbase— like wilbur posting about alignments on reddit and eret making a habit of watching all the animatics 

- all the parallels/foreshadowing: it was never meant to be/after everything, it was meant to be/it was never meant to be, for example. made cooler by the fact that a good bit is improv building on other people’s character arcs and actions.

- surprisingly really good and accurate depictions of abusive relationships / emotional manipulation? there’s a very good post that I can’t find about how schlatt and quackity acted out theirs, and there’s the whole dream & tommy arc… props to these minecraft men for doing their research 

- l’cast is really chill and interesting. plus the name is a pun!

- it interacts with multiple types of media (twitch, youtube, twitter, et cetera) and the audience is implicitly involved in lots of the story beats, and even inspires some of them (like the election or eret adopting fundy)
