Akutagawa Sleeps Like The Dead. Literally. On His Back, Hands Crossed Over His Chest, Not Moving A Single

Recently discovered that when you (try to) chuff at tigers, they chuff back at you, regardless of how horrible your chuff is.

Imagine Dazai coming across this online and testing it out on Atsushi.

Dazai's face lights up when his pathetic attempt at a chuff works and Atsushi gives him the most adorable chuff back. Meanwhile, Atsushi, who chuffs back on instinct is confused but overcome with affection for Dazai.

Convinced atsushi is so stressed out all the time that he is pretty much always running a low grade fever

I love the idea of this so much actually...maybe it has something to do with the tiger ability...maybe he goes to Yosano one day exasperated asking for some advice or medication to help manage his stress because it overwhelms him sometimes and maybe while looking him over she feels that he's warm...she checks his temperature and it's just an even 100. Not bad but not normal. She recommends something he can take and gives him some fever reducers and sends him on his way...she checks on him a week later and realizes he still has the same fever. and then the week after that. she comes to the conclusion that he just always has this for some reason and I need to figure out how to fix it lol

Get ready for a slew of Bungo Stray Dogs hcs because I'm so fucking hyped from the trailer. I'm not sure if I've done this before and Tumblr's search function sucks ass but here are some Catboy Atsushi hcs (With some Shin Soukoku) because I am a firm believer that if there's an animal-type character then they should have animal traits

-When he cares about someone he'll do the slow blink, but all the other person can see is Atsushi staring at them kind of intently, blinking slowly, and then returning to his work like nothing happened

-He purrs when he feels comfortable and safe. This could be if someone plays with his hair, curled up before he goes to sleep, situations like that. But it was something the orphanage punished him for so he tries to repress it as hard as he can. When the agency finds out they think it's the cutest thing possible and always try to elicit that response

-He bunts, the thing where cats drag their jawline against something they care about. The first time he does it to Akutagawa they both freeze and Akutagawa just kind of stares at him for a moment. Atsushi promptly realizes what he did and starts panicking and apologizing profusely. Akutagawa's not entirely sure what happened but he thought it was cute, not that he'd ever tell him that of course

-If completely left alone his nails will naturally grow into claws but they were always cut by the headmaster, often cut back so short his nail beds would start bleeding. He still cuts them back

• Constantly bites the skin around his nails.

• Is really jealous of Dazai because he can whistle but Atsushi can't.

• Poor baby (grown ass man) gets taunted everyday. 😔

• Half his wardrobe consists of the other agency members don't wear anymore/don't fit them.

• Sensitive teeth.

• Cannot eat anything super cold without wincing.

• Craves attention but prefers to be alone.

• Drools and chuffs in his sleep.

• Kunikida keeps tissues on his desk to wipe down his face after he takes a nap.

• Can't do anything without explicit permission and clear instructions.

• Constant victim of "your mum" jokes.

• Everyone sits in awkward silence after. 

• Will remind others how good they're being even in the midst of chaos.

• He's like a broken record of admiration for those he looks up to.

• He gets really attached to his possessions because growing up in the orphanage he didn't really have anything that was his and only his.

• Lowkey a hoarder.

• Will never use something because he feels he has to save it for the perfect situation and that if he uses it at the wrong moments he will be wasting it.

• Smells like soap and apple scented shampoo.

• Was gifted shampoo for Christmas a year into working at the agency.

• Up untill that point he had just been using plain bar soap for his entire body.

• Chronically cold feet.

• Kunikida makes him wear fluffy socks and slippers every morning/night.

• Scrunches his nose alot.

• Rambles when scared or anxious.

• His love language is gift giving.

• Stomps his foot when he's mad.

• Really big handwriting if you know what i mean.

• Like everything he writes is biig.

• Can't wink.

• Dazai once winked at him to tease him and he just froze, squeezed his eyes shut and wrinkled his nose.

• This became a recurring way for Dazai to tease him.

He does not get a break.

• Will binge on whatever food is infront of him because he's scared it will disappear and he will miss the opportunity to eat.

A (kinda sad) idea: Atsushi makes a tiger kitty noise in front of someone and loses it panicking because he’d get punished for making those noises at the orphanage.

Atsushi sleeping in the linen closet partly because he's cat like and it felt like a good idea.

But also because Atsushi spent his life often sleeping in a cage, and as awful as it was it's what he's used to.

He slept fine the first night because he was so exhausted but since than retreated to the linen closet.

It helps that it's both cosy and cool, which helps to ground him when he has nightmares.

And hey, now there's more space for Kyouka.
