Atushi please answer me if you had catnip would you get high I need to know this is very important information

First off, I'm a tiger, not a housecat, and I'm not sure if catnip works on tigers.

Second of, I have no idea because I've never eaten catnip or any sort of drugs, although one time dazai gave me a coffee so good that I'm pretty sure that's what drugs feel like, haha.

I remember i was asking kunikida why he liked coffee so much because honestly it's so bitter and dazai said he had some really good coffee that could definitely change my mind.

The next day he brought me some homemade coffee at work and it was really minty and i did NOT know coffee could be that good. i felt really hyper and i did even more work than kunikida that afternoon! He acted kinda weird about it though. He's not the competitive type at all so usually he's happy when i do a good job at work. Instead he was too busy because he took dazai to another room and kept shouting at him i couldn't tell you what it was about because at that point i was feeling kinda dizzy. Kunikida came back dragging dazai by the collar a little while later and I think i also saw yosano give dazai some cash when kunikida had let go of him. She looked pissed about it. Kunikida let me go home early when i told him i felt dizzy.

Even if though i did feel pretty light headed after, I still really wanna try that type of coffee again. but dazai said it was made from some super expensive foreign ingredient, at first i didn't really believe him and tried to search online for it, but i couldn't find anything about it and something that tastes that good and gives you that much energy must be hard to find so he's probably telling the truth!

yes oh my gawddddd sometimes it gets tiring for adorable atsushi to hold in the tiger, so when he's relaxing at home with you sometimes he'll let some of his feline features pop out. its usually just his ears and tail and maybe some claws and a fuzzy chest (if you're lucky sometimes some whiskers will appear) - its just much more comfortable like that for him. but atsushi's tiger features are so so sensitive. rub his ears and he's purring so loud you can barely hear the tv or even your own thoughts, but scratching the base of his tail? that's what he goes crazy for. without even thinking atsushi is arching his back and mewling, wiggling his butt to encourage you to scratch harder. it's completely involuntary the way he reacts, and he doesn't even notice the way he starts humping the couch as he begs for more <3

i like to thimk atsushi bumps his head onto people out of affection (like a cat)

but whenever he does it to akutagawa he gets all huffy and puffy bc he thinks atsushi is trying to insult him or smth

sskk living together but aku has a cat so whenever he goes "pspsps" to the cat while hes laying on the couch he just hears thudding and has five seconds to move before atsushi jumps onto him Cat: Akutagawa: Akutagawa: Pspsps- ah shit. *insert atsushi, going 40 mph, before tackling akutagawa*

The concept of sleeping through the night is as foreign to Atsushi as that of countries he’s never visited. The nightmares only came after he left the orphanage, but even then, he slept bit by bit, waking up at every footstep he heard, every rattling of a chain. Atsushi has never fallen asleep at sunset and woken up at sunrise. Fear used to keep awake; the absence of it now knots so tightly in his stomach that the difference is infinitesimal.

Atsushi learned as a child to wake up silently. He does so now, choked out of air, his fist already pressed against his mouth so that no sound will escape. He glances to his side, where Kyouka sleeps like the dead, and turns his back on her. Only then does he breathe.

Only then does he cry.

New headcanon that Atsushi isn't actually a fan of his birthdays. Especially right after he leaves the orphanage. I feel like on his b-days there things would get extra bad. The only good thing is that the other kids would avoid him instead of joining in on the harassment from the staff, and even then they'd avoid him like the plague, giving him glances that screamed they were disgusted and scared of him. The staff would double down instead. Because of this Atsushi probably didn't mention his birthday to anyone, and was hesitant about it when any of the other ADA members asked. Ranpo ofc knew, and the first time Atsushis b-day passed Atsushi walked in to see a piece of candy from Ranpos stash on his desk. Now everyone knows when it is because of that, but the most they do is take a bit of the workload off of him (AKA get Dazai to do his own work, which he doesn't argue against aside from some complaining that day), and put something on his desk, because they know celebrations make him uncomfortable.

everytime chuuya's ferret sees atsushi, it gets scared; chuuya reassures atsushi that its probably just becuz he's not used to him or maybe becuz atsushi's ability is a tiger and its confusing the ferret but when chuuya isnt looking atsushi makes sure to stare down the ferret so it Knows that it once was atsushi's afternoon snack.

thought this as i was getting ready to sleep last night

atsushi who starts getting super clingy -- all hugs and cuddles, more than normal

atsushi rubbing his cheek against his friends'

atsushi giving his sweaters to his friends, or gloves or scarves or other such things

atsushi taking their clothes and wearing them and giving them back

the ada confused as hell, finally going to ranpo like "is atsushi dying???"

and ranpo is like "isn't it obvious"

and the ada is like "no" unaware that atsushi is scratching/sharpening his nails at the entrance

and ranpo is like "its the time of year we get a lot of cats in the neighborhood. he's marking his territory"

fukuzawa is delighted at being shown affection by his cat son but heartbroken that his cat son is trying to make sure no other cat comes

everyone else is mostly just amused
