Chapter 1: The Last Night

Jerome’s Point. Of. View

  Its our last night here, at home…then we start packing our things into a truck and living out of our suitcases tomorrow. I went into the livingroom and heard mom on the phone yelling.

Faith:  No, Kenny! That’s unacceptable. You said that my home would be ready on the 10th, and now your telling me that I have to wait until the 17th.

*She paused for 10 seconds*

Faith: So you tell me what I’m supposed to tell my children, do I say “Oh Kenny fucked up, so now we’re gonna stay in a hotel for 8 days.” Huh,Kenny??? What do I tell them???

I could clearly see how angry she was.

Me: Mom? You ok?

She looked like she wanted to cry when she looked at me.

Faith: Give me a second Jerome.

Me: Ok mom, no problem.

Faith: Listen Kenny, I work hard so that my kids can have the best and I expect that my house be completely ready for me on the 16th no later than that.

She hung up and looked at me with a smile, I love this woman so much.

Faith: Hey baby, what’s up?

Me: You ok mama?

Faith: Yea, but are you gonna be ok staying in a hotel for a week?

Me: Yea, no problem.

She kissed me on the cheek then got up and went to finish cooking dinner. I couldn’t say it to her, but the fact the we didn’t leave yet and we already had a problem was bugging me.I went to Relly’s room to see what he was doing, and I wasn’t surprised when I saw him playing with the cutest thing I’d ever seen.

Janaya: *Laughing* No, you can’t have your skittles back.

Jerrell: Oh yes I can, I’m gonna tickle you until you give them back.

She could hardly speak with how hard she was laughing.

Janaya: No no, I’m sorry I ate them Relly.

Me: Hey, why don’t you pick on someone your own size, huh, Jaaa-Rellllllll

Janaya was laughing so hard she kept gasping for air. I kneeled down to her and shook her hand.

Me: I’m here to save you

Janaya: Thank you Romey, your my hero. *She said as she kissed my cheek*

I grabbed a pillow off Rell’s bed and then the war started.

“Hey!” we heard a voice say.

Terrence: I just got home and this is what I see, a war…Well I Mr.President would like for it to end.

Relly and I both looked at each other then back at him, then began to beat him with the pillows.

Janaya: Hey! Be nice to my daddy…Hey! Be nice to my daddy!

We all just looked at her and began to laugh, Terry picked her Up and said “That’s my princess.” Then he looked to us and said “Ok warrior men, its time for everyone to get washed up for dinner before my wife gets mad at us all, and we don’t want that.”

I swear that guy loves my mom so much that he loves us too, he’s a great step father, and he’s always been there for us.

    We just finished eating dinner, and hearing about the situation with the new house. I mean I guess its ok, the situation could be worst. Anyways, mom did her thing on this dinner. I hurried up so that I could go see Khloe (My soon to be ex girlfriend)

Me: Mom I’m done with the dishes, can I get the car keys now?

Faith: Drive the Lincoln, and remember curfew is when?

Me: 12:30

Faith: Ok, bye baby have fun… not too much fun.

I had to laugh, it was kinda funny my mom thought I was going to have sex.

Me: Ok mom.

I kissed her on the forehead and headed to get the keys. I had no idea Rome was going anywhere, but when I went upstairs to mom & Terry’s room Rome was in there getting money.

Me: Where you going?

Jerome: I don’t know Kev and them said they were gonna suprise us with something, but I told them you were gonna hang with Khlo since its our last night here before we start on our way tomorrow.

Me: Oh, iight… maybe I’ll call you and see whats up.

Jerome: Iight.

Terrence: Listen, Imma talk to your mom about these curfews, but be safe.

With that he put a box of condoms on the bed and told us to split it evenly. 3 for me & 3 for Rome.

Me: Jees Tee, do you really think that’s what we’re gonna do on our last night home.

He began to walking to bathroom and stopped at the door.

Terrence: I just want you guys to be safe.

Me & Rome: Ok.

Come With Me - Chapter 2: The Reality

  I just pulled up to Khlo’s house and was calling her on the phone. She ran outside wearing this outfit, that just happened to match mine. I swear I’m in love with her.She opened the car door, got in, and gave me a kiss.

Khloe: Hey babe.

Me: Hey, where to?

Khloe: To the Mansion.

Me: Ok.

I pulled off without hesitating, the Mansion was our spot.Everyone goes to the Mansion, thats where the best parties are.

Me and my boys stopped at McDonalds to rack up on food, man I love my crew…I’m not gonna lie though, I wish Relly was here.

Me: So where we finna go ya’ll???

Tyrone: You know we gotta hit the Mansion one time for your last night.

We got to the Mansion about thirthy minutes later and then I saw Terry’s Lincoln, and Khloe get out the passenger seat.I went over to it and gave Khloe a hug.

Me: Yo, I’m so glad you guys came, I was just thinking to myself that whatever I do tonight should be done with my brother.

Jerrell: Me too man.

We all began to walk inside, this night was gonna be great I could feel it. Then I knew it as soon as we got in and on the stage was mom and Tee.Rell and I began to wild out like some kids. Then we saw mom put the mic closer to her.

Faith: I wanna say that I raised some beautiful boys, and I’ve never had to do it alone. When they both were born their dad was there with me every step of the way. *She began to get teary eyed* And when he passed, their grandmothers were here…both my mom and their dad’s mom, and now my wonderful husband Terry is his here. I’m so proud of the men they are becoming, and thats why I had to throw this going away party for them.

Me and Jerrell stood here in the middle of the dance floor with tears running down our faces. All eyes were on us and I’m not gonna lie, I wanted to just breakdown…but I held it together, not for me, but for my little brother.

Terrence: I love my beautiful wife, and these wonderful boys. They accepted me for who I am, and I do my best for them. They may not call me dad, but they’re my sons…MINE. To love, to care for, and to protect under any and evey circumstance possible. These boys deserve that, and I just hope I’ve done a great job providing them with it.

Jerrell and I wipped our eyes and went on stage to say a few words our self. I let Relly go first.

Jerrell: Umm, I don’t know what to say…Thanks mom

Me: And Pops

Jerrell: Yeah, and Pops, for throwing this party for us…Thank you everyone for coming, and we are really gonna miss you guys out here. Oh! I forgot to thank my baby Khloe for being a part of this surprise, and yeah.

Me: Umm everything thing he said, minus the “my baby” part and adding our loving grandparents, thanks everyone for coming to support us.

I put the mic down and reality set in…this is really our last night.

Faith’s Point. Of. View (There Won’t Be Much Of These)

Nearly an hour and 1/2 had passed. I was sitting with my mother just letting this proud moment soak in.Then Terry tapped me on my shoulder.

Me: Yea hunny

Terrence: I think we should take off now, and come back later to make sure everything was good. ;-)

When he winked his eye, I knew what time it was.

Me: Relly did drive right

Terrence: Yupp

Me: And Naya did go to your mom’s house for the night.

Terrence: Correct again

I looked to my mom, then back at Terry.

Me: Mom do you need a ride? Or are you going to stay with Mama Philips?

Grandma Johnson: I’m fine right here, you guys go, enjoy your last night.

Me: I love you ma.

I gave my mom a kiss on the cheek, gave Terry the car keys, and we were on our way. We only made it to the driveway, but I loved it. After that we went inside and straight to the shower, it was just like when we first got married. I swear I love this man. After all of that we took real showers and headed back to the party.We got there in perfect time because it was 10 minutes away from ending. We went in, took pictures with the boys, and made sure nobody left anything behind.

Jerome: Mom, give me the keys to the Audi, I’ll drive home.

Me: Boy get the keys to the Lincoln from your brother, then take Khole, your Nana, and Mama Philips home.

Jerome: Ok mama.

First thing in the morning take the cars to get cleaned. -I told myself.

I went and kissed Maine’s( the boys’ father) mom  and my mom before getting in the car with Terry. What a night if I do say so myself. I hope the boys had a good night.

We had just dropped both of our grandmothers and Khloe home, and now we were on our way home.

Me: Did you notice how at the end of the party mom and Terry were wearing completely different outfits??? 

Jerome: Now that you mention it, yea… and she didn’t want me to drive the Audi home.

Me and Rome at the same time yelled “Ughhhhhhh, that’s nasty”

Jerome: Don’t say anything, we could use this later in life

Me: I’m way ahead of you.

We laughed about a few things, then it all came to a stop when Rome parked.

Me: This is really it huh?

Jerome: I think so.

We sat there in silence for a few more minutes, then we made our way to the door. When I put my key in the door I realized that this was the last night I’d ever use my keys for this door.

Me: I call the shower first.

Jerome: Stupid Imma shower in the guest room.

Me: Oh yea, Nay’s not home…forget it then.

Jerome: Old habits

Me: Yea.

We then went inside our officially old house.

Real shit though, I just wanted to write a story with people I noticed look some what a like. Then I opened my eyes and saw madddddd Chris Brown fanfics. This right here is my first and last.
