Come With Me - Chapter 4: Thinkin' Bout You

I miss Khlo so much, I swear that girl is my everything.We’ve been here in New York for 3 days, and I haven’t spoken to Khlo since the night we got here. It seems everytime I call she’s busy, or she’s avoiding me. I’m gonna try again.

Me: Hey babe…its me, call me when you get a chance, ok? I love you. Bye.

I was almost sure I’d get her this time. Well, on the bright side they finished the house early and we’re moving in tomorrow. We saw the house the other day with mom and picked our rooms… well me and Rome picked between two rooms. They’re the same size though, so its all good. I walked into the living room a plopped myself onto the couch. I found a movie to watch and I was good.

Mom and Tee are out visiting one of Mom’s old friend from college. They took Naya with them, and Rome is down at the pool.

I just came out of the pool and started to dry off a little bit. I was about to go up to the room when I looked and I saw April, or at least who I thought was her. I just shook my head and began to make my way to the elevator.I was standing there waiting, when I heard my name.

April: Jerome?

Me: Uh, hi April… I thought that was you.

April: *Smiling* Yea, its me.

Me: Cool, how you been?

I was actually happy to see her, she mean’t the world to me once…then she cheated, but I still missed her sometimes.

April: I’ve been fine, so your on vacation here too?

The elevator door opened and I stepped in first, with her following my lead.

Me: Nah, we moved here, and we’re moving into our house tomorrow.

April: That’s cool, 12 please.

I pressed 12 for her, and 14 for myself. We spoke about random things we liked about the hotel, then she asked me to walk her to her room. I don’t know why, but I did. Within seconds we were standing in front of her door.

April: I’m glad I saw you. I always wanted to say sorry for what I did, but then my parents changed my school and I-

I cut her off.

Me: Its ok,I had time to forgive you.

April: I’ve missed you Rome. *she said smiling*

Me: Yea, I missed you too…now I know better.

April: That was cold.

Me: No, that was honest, once I realized what you were I moved on. Look, I gotta go…see you around.

I leaned in and kissed her on the cheek.

Me: Bye April.

With that I left.

When I got to the room I told Jerrell everyrthing.

The boys hung out for a while until it was time for dinner. The family went to Red Lobster and enjoyed their meal. When they got back to the hotel the boys went to the pool and hung out with girls they met in the hotel.

Jerome: Yo, I’m glad the house is finished early, but Imma miss chillen with Ren and Leah.

Renee and Aleah are cousins. Renee lives in Georgia but was born in New York, while Aleah was born in New York and has never left. She is only in the hotel because Renee and other members of their family are visiting for the family reunion.

Jerrell: True, they some cool girls. I like chillen with them, and if I was single I’d be all in Leah’s  face. Speaking of, I miss Khlo and everynight that I don’t speak to her I feel like something is wrong.

Jerome: Just keep calling her, matter of fact call her now before we go down to the pool.

He took his brother’s advice and called her again, and again it went to voicemail. They were just about to leave the room and Jerrell’s phone rang.

Jerrell: Hello?

Khloe: Hey babe *she spoke in a scratchy voice*

Jerrell: Hey, you sound like your sleeping.

Khloe: Yea, I am…I just didn’t want you to worry.

Jerrell: Thanks for calling me, I love you.

Khloe: I love you too, goodnight baby.

Jerrell: Night Khlo.
