DISCLAIMERS AND NOTES ETC.... I'm Pākehā, meaning I am not of Māori descent. I hold so much respect for Māori people, for their values and traditions, and for the fierce pride with which kapa haka is performed. I thought if I was going to design a Māori Miku, it makes sense to dress her in a kapa haka kākahu, as her whole thing is singing and dancing!!! The tā moko is not based off any real person's moko. I referenced the temporary moko a lot of kapa haka performers wear!! Was tricky finding out whether or not depicting her with a moko was a good idea, so I went the safe route- showing an aspect of Māori culture without stepping over any boundaries!! Brown eyed Miku is everything to me shout out brown eyed Miku.... I referenced like seven different outfits to put hers together!! I really hope this looks accurate or at least passable. Thanks to adorkastock for the pose ref!!

Gazafunds actually deals with this anxiety and makes a decision for you if you want. Their home page has a spotlighted fundraiser and the code consider things like how close the gfm is to finishing, when the most recent donation is, etc. So it's randomized to help as many people as possible.
There's also @helpgazachildren which if you donate, you can help multiple people at once since it's a whole mutual aid fund, or at least close to it. Hussam distributes money to people who need it when he's asked.
When I say “free water, free food, free shelter, free healthcare, free education for everyone” in that “everyone” I even include the people I hate. Too many people get surprised at the idea that I do wish for the people I hate to have better lives.

So apparently Joost (the "Europapa" guy) has been suspended from Eurovision. Allegedly, after refusing to be seen with the Israel singer, asking "Why not?" After someone told the Israeli participant that she didn't have to answer a question about her being part of Eurovision putting other participants in danger, and covering his face whenever she spoke in press conferences; the Israeli team started to harass Joost constantly and, after they made fun of his dead parents, Joost punched them.
This is why one of the most beloved participants this year is probably not going to show up tomorrow to the finals

this is kinda a rant
I'll preface this by saying that I don't hate Dazai. His entire concept is really, deeply interesting. A traumatized, suicidal, manipulative, morally gray bastard. (not to mention the Aggressive Queercoding)
But he is So. Goddamn. Annoying.
A character that always wins is fundamentally uninteresting. If he has already planned All Possible Outcomes, there are no stakes.
In truth, I think that we are at a crossroads in his character. Asagiri needs to make Choices. And I have one Major Gripe.
Dazai needs to show more emotion. He does in the manga, but it's still subtle. This man needs to lose, needs to struggle. I wish the prison arc had been more than a fabricated game of mental chess. Dazai needs to show that he is different from Fyodor. And in truth, I dislike how he acts just. In general.
Think about it. imagine some random-ass man approaches you speaking in flowery, dramatic tones, and talks about killing himself. Now that would be concerning in of itself, but the whole double suicide gag (because that's what it's treated as, a gag) has always come across as threatening to me. Now, I'll admit that I don't think dazai (or, perhaps, asagiri) might simply understands how threatening it can be. like. saying he wants you to kill yourself with him just means 'i want to die, and I think you should die wth me" like.
It's always sat wrong to me, and I just think we should, y'know, address it.
not to mention the fact that we as a fandom need to acknowledge that Dazai is manipulative and that for him to redeem himself, he needs to directly address his actions, and stop puppetering events.
I also admit that the fandom loves him to an incredibly annoying degree and if I see one more dazai-centric fic I'm gonna lose it.
Please give attention to chracters other than dazai, especially the incredibly interesting bsd ladies.
