Gwaine: Listen Up, Lads, I've Got A Great Idea-

Gwaine: Listen up, lads, I've got a great idea-

Elyan: No.

Gwaine: You didn't even let me-

Lancelot: No.

Gwaine: But I-

Percival: No.

Gwaine: *gasp* Et tu, Percy?

Leon: *grabs Gwaine by the tunic and points at the sign on the wall*

Leon: You see that? "It Has Been 27 Days Since Our Last Disaster." Three more days, and Guinevere will make us cake.

Leon, shaking Gwaine for emphasis: And - I - want - that - cake.

Merlin: Bird watching goes both ways.

Arthur: That's vaguely threatening, thank you.

the trick to a good insult is sort of talking around it and making them think so that it hits harder when they realize what you’re talking about

Saw this comment under your reblog:

“The entire movie (CA:CW) is just Tony Stark doing damage control in response to Steve Rogers”

And I couldn’t have said it better myself

let’s be honest, captain america: civil war was basically tony doing damage control for team cap who were being stubborn headasses in concern to international laws and borders 🤷🏾‍♀️

Merlin hates Uther for many reasons. He’s hateful, vengeful, short sighted and hypocritical about magic. He solves most of his problems with violence. He never truly trusts anyone and is loyal to no one.

But what Merlin hates the most is that he never tells Arthur that he’s proud of him or hugs him or comforts him when everything is going wrong. He just dumps the weight of a Kingdom and his own failings on the shoulders of his barely adult son.

Now, Merlin has to go from ‘fuck this spoiled prat’ to ‘I am this clotpole’s only source of emotional validation and comfort’ to ‘the King ruined a perfectly decent cabbagehead and I will kill him myself if he ruins all the work I’ve done to get Arthur to a place where he can even admit we’re friends.’

everyone always focuses on Sokovia and Ultron and Tony's involvement but no one ever thinks about how Bruce was also involved completely because they're both scientists. no one thinks about Wanda purposefully going in and digging in Tony's head, amplifying his PTSD and putting visions of all his friends dead in his head with the intent of making Tony create Ultron

Everyone always focuses on blaming Tony for the bomb that killed Wanda's parents but no one thinks about Tony being so shit faced he couldn't see straight at that time bec he was so deep in self-medicating his trauma that he could not even run his company and that it was Obidiah Stane that was the one in charge of the company and illegally selling the weapons that killed her parents

Everyone focuses on Tony selling weapons in the first movie but no one thinks about how it was Howard Starks company and that Tony was groomed from birth to run it and that he had tried multiple times to make something else of the company but was constantly shut down with guilt tripping until he was kidnapped and he forced the manufacturing to end

Everyone focuses on Tony being "conceited" and "arrogant" and not "caring about anyone but himself" but no one thinks about how every single action he makes in his movies are about protecting the people he loves and cares for. His biggest fear is his friends- not himself- dying. he goes into every battle he's in fully prepared to die and does make the sacrifice play many many times

everyone always focuses on what Tony did wrong, but no one thinks about how much he has grown and how he spends every single waking moment trying to be a better and better man who cares so deeply about everyone and is trying to protect everyone the only way he knows how- and that is with the brain and intellect that had been the only thing about Tony that was ever praised about

Thinking about the fact that Steve has always been a rulebreaker and even before he became Captain America, he was allowed to get away with it because he was sickly Steve Rogers and as Cap, he was given leeway because he got shit done. Steve Rogers never learned that his actions have consequences because he was never around long enough to see them through.

Comparitively, Tony was a rulebreaker too, and during that time, he made enemies and allowed his ego to get the better of him and he knows and recognizes this. Tony strives to better himself by sticking to the rules because his experience says that if he does what he wants with no regard for who he hurts in the process, it is worse in the long run.

This was what caused the conflict between the two factions in Civil War. Steve had, a few years prior, taken down Hydra, and by extension SHIELD. No attempt was made on his part to attempt to remedy that, which meant that one of the only safegaurds put up for super-powered individuals was gone. With SHIELD gone, there was nothing to protect the Avengers from retribution from the governments they’d been operating in.

Tony opted to sign the accords because he and his army of lawyers could probably unravel the whole thing with time.

But Steve didn’t want to wait. He wanted instant satisfaction without considering the consequences of his actions. His team consisted of people with plenty to lose (Scott, Clint etc.) and his actions got them into serious trouble because Steve ‘I get what I want’ Rogers couldn’t wait.

Tony Stark learned from his mistakes, chose to take his experiences and grow as a person. Steve didn’t, he never had to face the consequences of his actions and henceforth, continued to be reckless and cause problems for himself and those around him.

You know what we do to people when they behave like Steve does? We put them in grippy sock jail or therapy. Steve simply got away with a slap on the wrist following the events of infinity war.

Tony Anti: Tony should’ve understood that Bucky isn’t in control

Me: Tony didn’t get aggressive bcz of Bucky. He got angry when he found out someone he trusted with his life has been lying to him for the past two years about his parents’ death just so that Tony could keep funding his project. The first person Tony hit was Rogers, and Bucky was only included in that fight bcz he would never let Rogers fight alone.

He also only had .2 seconds to process all that trauma, whereas if Rogers had sat him down at some point and told him, where the murderer (no matter how unwilling, Bucky still killed them) wasn’t literally standing right in front of him, and where Tony would have had a ton of emotional support, the outcome would have been entirely different. Rogers just couldn’t risk Tony not funding his project bcz he never saw Tony as anything more than a selfish billionaire and so it was ok for Rogers to manipulate him.

Steve Stan: Steve didn’t have any projects.

Me: His search for Bucky... Someone had to have funded it for the two years before Civil War. By that point, SHIELD had fallen apart and there’s no way the US government payed for that. Rogers was also living on Avengers Compound, which was built, managed, and funded by Stark Industries

Steve Stan: Your points don’t make sense.

"Even for your four, this is a new low," Minerva ranted, blood boiling as she stared down at her four favorite students, who were all seated in chairs in her office, looking less-than-contrite. "Breaking in to the Slytherin Common Room in the middle of the night? Sticking every single student to their bed?"

"We don't discriminate," Sirius Black nodded, sending her a grin. "Though James's boyfriend will be a bit mad."

"Oi! Shut up about Re-"

"Boys!" Minerva interrupted, trying not to laugh. "This is unacceptable. I have to take fifty points from Gryffindor!"

All four Seventh-Years paused, staring at her. "Fifty?" Remus Lupin asked, tilting his head to the side.

"Each!" Minerva nearly-screeched. "And detention every night for a week!"

"So that's two hundred points total," James Potter said sadly.

"Yes," Minerva nodded, trying not to feel too badly. "So if you-"

"Can you make it three?" Sirius asked, interrupting.

She blinked, quite sure she'd heard incorrectly. "I- what?"

"It's just, we're trying to set a record," Remus explained calmly, eyes wide. "We need to beat two hundred and fifty."

Minerva's heart began beating erratically. No. Surely they hadn't found out-

"We recently came across this, you see," James continued, grinning and pulling a paper from his pocket. "Peter, here, had a detention where he had to rewrite some old detention cards. And look at this one!"

Hand shaking slightly, Minerva looked at the card. On it, written in a scrawl, were the words:

Minerva McGonagall, sixth year, Gryffindor, a month's detention and a loss of 250 points for hexing all of the Slytherin team's brooms. (Most points lost in a single day.)

Sighing, Minerva tried to school her expression before she looked back at the four boys. But she knew it was far too late to do anything about this. The secret was out.

"You're our biggest role model, Professor," Peter said sincerely, an awed look on his face. "A record of the most lost points in a day? We just want to beat your record."

"Yes. Oh, well. We'll have to try even harder next time," James smirked, taking the card back from her loose grasp.

It was at that moment that Minerva McGonagall new she was absolutely fucked.

This quite possibly may be one of the best things I have ever read. I love it!!!

Felinette with some cute fluff about height differences?

[Send me Felinette prompts/requests!]

Height differences were nothing new to the class.

Ivan was practically towering over Mylene and Alya was a bit taller than Nino.

The difference between these couples and Marinette and Felix, was that in most cases, the shorter party was patient and understanding and the taller party was helpful and humble, whereas with Marinette and Felix... they were Marinette and Felix.

“Get off your lazy butt and help me!” She shrieked while she jumped at a shelf.

“Miss Dupain-Cheng!” The librarian glared at her after she overcame the initial wincing. “This is a place of silence!”

“Sorry.” She gave an apologetic smile.

The minute the librarian turned her back, Marinette was glaring at Felix again.

“Help.” She demanded in a harsh whisper.

“Hmm... no.”

She growled before stomping off to grab a stool, and practically slammed it on the ground when she got back.

“You know, I could help you with that, Mari.” Kim commented, looking up from his comic book.

Marinette jumped down from the stool, forgetting the book entirely. She came close to Kim’s face, her face full of malice and practically hatred.

“Do you think I’m desperate?” She hissed. “That I need help to get a book off of a shelf?”

Kim was quivering now. “N-no ma’am.”

She leaned back, appeased. “I thought so.”

Then there was the incident where Alya went to her house to chill and hang out, and found Marinette crouching on top of her fridge, looking down at Felix who was expertly dodging everything she threw at him.

“WHO’S THE SHORT ONE NOW, YOU HEATHEN?”

“Netta, please...” Felix caught an airborne pan and placed it on the counter.

“DON’T YOU ‘NETTA’ ME, DWARF!”

Alya stood there for a minute or two before backing out of the room and sending the video to the group chat.

Alyabug: Im getting a little worried for Felixs safety here...

At this point, the entire class was surprised that the two were still dating. They had all just assumed Felix would have been murdered by now.

Their assumptions seemed correct when they entered the classroom and they were greeted with Marinette standing on a chair, in front of Felix, who was backed into a corner.

Both of her hands were on the wall, keeping Felix from fleeing for his life.

The group was frozen in fear for Felix life; Marinette leaned in and the class did too, expecting to hear a witty quip before she began her attack.

What they weren’t expecting was Marinette whispering, almost shyly, “You look nice today.” Before kissing him on the nose.

“It seems I will have to rethink my hypothesis.” Max adjusted his glasses before typing something on his phone.

Now, the class had no idea what to think about Marinette and Felix’s relationship.

Then, something unimaginable happened.

Ms. Bustier asked for the photo binder.

The photo binder that held every class picture they had ever been in; the photo binder that was on the top of the highest shelf in the school.

And Ivan was home sick.

Ms. Bustier went out in search of a ladder and the class was left to their own devices.

Felix was, as usual, was reading a book as the class gossiped and joked.

It had been about a half an hour since Ms. Bustier had left in search of a ladder, when Felix slammed his book shut and grabbed Marinette by the hand.

He lead her to the shelves and let go of her and in favor of placing both of his hands on the shelves.

The class watched as he visibly tensed up and then nodded to Marinette.

Despite never exchanging a word with him, Marinette knew exactly what Felix wanted her to do and she took a deep breath before scaling Felix like a jungle gym until she was standing on his shoulders and reaching for the binder.

Once she had it in her hands, she bent her knees just slightly before rocketing into the air and landing in Felix’s awaiting arms.

The class was rioting. Alya screamed into her phone to all of her blog viewers. Nino fainted. Max started reciting the digits of pi.

It was utter chaos when Ms. Bustier opened the door to a particularly rowdy class with wide eyes, Marinette and Felix leaning over the binder to discuss the proper pictures for the class scrapbook and an unconscious Kim. (He had passed out in awe.)

That week, the class learned a very important lesson; never question Marinette and Felix’s relationship, they may be odder than the average height-differing couple, but they had a closeness that no one else would ever understand.

@ersalent

The moment when Steve Rogers thought he knew better than his team if he could do something, so he didn’t ask them.

You know, when it comes to Tony being accused of keeping secrets and “not telling the team about his secret project” in AoU, a lot of people immediately brings up the fact that Steve didn’t tell Tony about his parents as an explanation that Steve fucked up too or fucked up more than Tony, and it is fine, but I think there was one instance in AoU alone when Steve did something worse than Tony.

Let me explain.

Ok, so Tony wants to make Ultron, yes? And he looped in Bruce. A lot of people think he looped him in, because they’re besties or assume that Tony did that with an ulterior motive of talking Bruce into agreeing with him, but you know what I see? Tony, even after his Wanda-induced vision, making a choice to loop in someone whom he trusts to not approve of something which is utterly wrong, reckless and possibly dangerous. Bruce is not some whimsy, who got talked into doing something bad, no matter how much he tries to act like it in the movie (I hate you Joss Whedon for making him act like this). Bruce is a person who messed with stuff he shouldn’t before, and he knows the consequences of that. He is probably the only person who would say a harsh no to Tony if he truly didn’t consider Ultron to be a good idea at all. Tony went to the scientist to get an ok. He didn’t go to the team, because frankly the team is not full of experts in science or AIs specifically, and they got permission from Thor to study the Scepter, and he didn’t object to them using the knowledge they gain in their own projects, so they were in the clear all along. So yeah, Tony didn’t need to tell the team, because he already told the most qualified person about it, and got his blessing to proceed with it.

Steve, on the other hand? He didn’t tell the team that he will bring Wanda and Pietro to the lab. He didn’t consult with anybody else, only trusting his own judgement, because he saw them helping him stop the train, and that made him believe they’re ok.

He couldn’t possibly know that they truly defected, or they just helped him to gain his trust. He just took them into the lab as if they were not Hydra operatives hell-bend on killing the team. He didn’t make a decision which only he was qualified for, because despite the fact he was there when they saved the train, making a judgement like that is not something the rest of the team is not qualified for.

He should have consulted his choice with others beforehand, he should have talked to Tony as it is his lab and his place he brought enemies to. He should talk with Bruce, if not to ask him for insight, then to at least ensure that he would not Hulk out when he sees Wanda. He should have talked to Natasha and Clint, hell to the whole team, because he was the only one who saw the twins doing something good (which also makes him qualified and unqualified to make that judgement, because he could trust his eyes instead of his instincts, Natasha is better for that, than him), and he didn’t have all the info, he couldn’t know if they’re not lying. So with his choice to bring them in, he endangered the whole team and possibly the whole world if the twins were truly lying and killed them all then and there.

I don’t say he shouldn’t give the twins a chance at least, but he should have talked with the team first before he allowed them inside just on the off chance that their heroic moment didn’t make them “the good guys” and was just a once in a lifetime thing which didn’t extend to their stance on the Avengers. They could still want to kill them all, even after helping save the civilians. Saving them doesn’t mean they don’t hate the Avengers or Tony specifically anymore.

[I dunno where the fandom takes the idea from that Steve threw the shield at Tony, while he threw it at the electonics around the cradle, but I remember finding a similar scene in which Steve was holding his shield in his hands when he threw himself at Tony, so maybe there are like several scenes online, or maybe we all are remembering this scene wrong? Anyway, Steve did aim his punch at Tony’s chest. His vulnerable area. Yeah, Tony repulsed him earlier and unibeamed him on low settings when the punch was incoming, but as far as Tony was concerned, Steve brought enemy agents in, and could as well be mind controled by them to do their bidding. He had to stop him.]

Not only that, but he also threw himself with a punch at Tony, when Tony was not wearing his armor and was only saved, because the chest piece came in time to take the punch! He could have killed him or injure him! He doesn’t know how much Tony’s chest can take, he could break his sternum! From the outside perspective, it looks as if he was betraying the team by not telling them about his choice.

He didn’t ask anybody for permission. He just did it.
