just a little reminder: had tony not pulled the strings he pulled, wanda would've spent life-long imprisonment rotting in jail in a high security cell instead of spending a comfy holiday inside a huge luxury mansion with her months-old android crush. and then her unthankful ass had to send all that to shit. man, tony was way too nice to this neo-nazi genocidal scumbag, even after she violated his mind out of pure vengeful hatred. yes im still salty:))
I just realized another difference between MCU Tony and Steve.
Steve since the day one thought of himself as a better man. As a person who was better than people around him, a person meant for great things, but who ultimately lacked the power to properly stand against the people he saw as bullies. Thanks to that, he was never driven by the idea to be a better person, because he already thought himself to be a better person since the beginning.
Tony on the other hand never saw himself as a better person, not truly. He may have felt proud of his accomplishments, his intellect, his tech, but it never made him feel as a better man than everybody around him, and Afghanistan only made him admit how flawed he was and how much he needed to change. Thanks to that, he was always driven by the idea to be a better person, because he knew he was not perfect, and his mistakes had real consequences.
Not being aware of your own flaws is a flaw all on itself. That’s why MCU Steve Rogers rubs me wrong. Because he is not aware of his own shortcomings as a person, and he lives in an illusion that he is the better man who was always meant to become great and do great things. He thinks himself flawless, while he is full of flaws.
A buncha idiots found my pro Tony/anti Steve post because they can't stay out of tags that upset them much like toddlers that want to keep eating lemons despite hating the taste, so I guess it's time for another hurricane of pro Tony/anti Steve posts
Also, for the record: Steve insisting on being in the battlefield despite being a liability is not noble nor inspiring, it's stupid and belittling of the people that helped war effort despite not being able to go to the battlefield. So sorry that your "pretty Captain" looks down on people that won't or can't be in the front lines, but it is what it is. He was lucky he got the serum, and even luckier that it made him so big no one would go against him.
my most popular fics to date and people wonder why fic authors leave this platform. so let me break it down for you:
likes do nothing. not a single goddamn thing except say "hey, I've seen this post". that's the extent of it.
replies don't spread the word, BUT they are a great place to leave feedback AFTER you've reblogged a fic
reblogs w commentary in the tags are literally one of the best things you can do
reblogs w comments attached are the other best thing you can do
if you don't reblog, our work doesn't get shared; surprise, but we don't post just to let our work sit there and collect dust
outright telling authors how a fic made you feel, what you liked about it, etc KEEPS US GOING! it doesn't even have to be a long paragraph, it can be "I loved X bc of Y!" or a fucking bunch of emojis!
you should be reblogging fic
if you're too shy to leave comments on them - make a different account just for reblogging fic! use the anon ask feature! send a DM!
to put it plainly: if you want fanfic authors to keep posting what they've written - FUCKING REBLOG IT AND GIVE US FEEDBACK
Tony Anti: Tony should’ve understood that Bucky isn’t in control
Me: Tony didn’t get aggressive bcz of Bucky. He got angry when he found out someone he trusted with his life has been lying to him for the past two years about his parents’ death just so that Tony could keep funding his project. The first person Tony hit was Rogers, and Bucky was only included in that fight bcz he would never let Rogers fight alone.
He also only had .2 seconds to process all that trauma, whereas if Rogers had sat him down at some point and told him, where the murderer (no matter how unwilling, Bucky still killed them) wasn’t literally standing right in front of him, and where Tony would have had a ton of emotional support, the outcome would have been entirely different. Rogers just couldn’t risk Tony not funding his project bcz he never saw Tony as anything more than a selfish billionaire and so it was ok for Rogers to manipulate him.
Steve Stan: Steve didn’t have any projects.
Me: His search for Bucky... Someone had to have funded it for the two years before Civil War. By that point, SHIELD had fallen apart and there’s no way the US government payed for that. Rogers was also living on Avengers Compound, which was built, managed, and funded by Stark Industries
Steve Stan: Your points don’t make sense.
“this ship isn’t canon” to YOU. I, however, am delusional
Since y’all still on this “Tony is an evil capitalist billionaire for not paying the Avengers” bullshit
One of my favorite Tony Stark Criticisms is "He's a bad person! He made weapons for the military!"
What do you want him to do? Shut down his entire operation? Well I have some GREAT NEWS --
This is so amazing!
@zoeconstellation mentioned how no one shipped leoxpercy (lercy? peo?) and i said it was because they have like 2 canon interactions.
SO
this got me thinking that the two could actually be really good friends. which led to this (under the break):

"Even for your four, this is a new low," Minerva ranted, blood boiling as she stared down at her four favorite students, who were all seated in chairs in her office, looking less-than-contrite. "Breaking in to the Slytherin Common Room in the middle of the night? Sticking every single student to their bed?"
"We don't discriminate," Sirius Black nodded, sending her a grin. "Though James's boyfriend will be a bit mad."
"Oi! Shut up about Re-"
"Boys!" Minerva interrupted, trying not to laugh. "This is unacceptable. I have to take fifty points from Gryffindor!"
All four Seventh-Years paused, staring at her. "Fifty?" Remus Lupin asked, tilting his head to the side.
"Each!" Minerva nearly-screeched. "And detention every night for a week!"
"So that's two hundred points total," James Potter said sadly.
"Yes," Minerva nodded, trying not to feel too badly. "So if you-"
"Can you make it three?" Sirius asked, interrupting.
She blinked, quite sure she'd heard incorrectly. "I- what?"
"It's just, we're trying to set a record," Remus explained calmly, eyes wide. "We need to beat two hundred and fifty."
Minerva's heart began beating erratically. No. Surely they hadn't found out-
"We recently came across this, you see," James continued, grinning and pulling a paper from his pocket. "Peter, here, had a detention where he had to rewrite some old detention cards. And look at this one!"
Hand shaking slightly, Minerva looked at the card. On it, written in a scrawl, were the words:
Minerva McGonagall, sixth year, Gryffindor, a month's detention and a loss of 250 points for hexing all of the Slytherin team's brooms. (Most points lost in a single day.)
Sighing, Minerva tried to school her expression before she looked back at the four boys. But she knew it was far too late to do anything about this. The secret was out.
"You're our biggest role model, Professor," Peter said sincerely, an awed look on his face. "A record of the most lost points in a day? We just want to beat your record."
"Yes. Oh, well. We'll have to try even harder next time," James smirked, taking the card back from her loose grasp.
It was at that moment that Minerva McGonagall new she was absolutely fucked.
