DIABOLIK LOVERS 5th Anniversary Book - Mukami Azusa [Short Story + Do-S Collection]

SPENDING 12 MONTHS WITH VAMPIRES ー AZUSA ・ OCTOBER

When I invited her for a short walk, she held hands with me as her cheeks flushed ever so slightly.

Our destination is a tree-lined avenue. Even though I’ve walked this path many times, when strolling along together with her like this, the place somehow feels special to me.

While doing this, we are making more memories together ーー When I think of it like that, love wells up inside me.

“Azusa-kun, look! The leaves of that tree are colored red…!”

Her cheerful voice addresses me. When I turn my gaze towards the direction she points to, I can most definitely see the branches and their slightly reddish leaves spread out in front of my eyes.

“You’re right…They’re really pretty, huh? Eve…”

She looks so very lovely to me while moved by the coming of Fall, as I gaze at her side profile.

“The same color, as your cheeks…”

Seems like I voiced the words that popped up in my brain out loud. Even quicker than she could turn her head in surprise, I place a kiss against said cheek.

“Fufu…See? It’s the same.”

As her cheeks flush even brighter, they are now a deeper crimson than the autumn leaves.

I wonder if this path will become even more colorful in time as well…? If that’s the case, I want to bring her here. While said thought crosses my mind, I tighten my grip on our intertwined hands.

“You’re scared? Of me? Why? Even though I love you so much. There is nothing…to be scared of…right?”

ーー ( DIABOLIK LOVERS More, Blood Vol. 4 )

“Let’s be together…At all times, okay? Eve…”

ーー ( DIABOLIK LOVERS Bloody Bouquet Vol. 11 )

“I see, I have to…feed it to you, right? By force…Isn’t that so? Say, that’s obviously the case, right?”

ーー ( DIABOLIK LOVERS Dark Fate Vol. 3 )

“Say, Eve…That hurt, didn’t it? It felt good, right? Aah, lucky you…I’m jealous.”

ーー ( DIABOLIK LOVERS VERSUS II Vol. 6 Yuma VS Azusa )

“…Let’s die together, Eve…We’ll die, and find happiness together…”

ーー ( DIABOLIK LOVERS Bloody Bouquet Vol. 11 )

“Aah…How pretty…Your blood-stained face dyed deep red, illuminated by the moon…”

ーー ( DIABOLIK LOVERS More, Blood Vol. 4 )

“When I see how you look at Yuma, or are being hurt by him, I can’t help but…grow irritated and my chest aches to the point where I feel like I’m going crazy.”

ーー ( DIABOLIK LOVERS VERSUS II Vol. 6 Yuma VS Azusa )

“Come on, Eve…Say ‘aahn’. My meat is delicious…With plenty of…shichimi spice. …What’s the matter? Why do you turn your head away…?

ーー ( DIABOLIK LOVERS Dark Fate Vol. 3 )

The Manson Family Murders

image

Photographed above are the known members of the infamous Manson family cult. The cult members, under the leaderships of Charles Manson, committed the gruesome murders of nine people, including a pregnant woman.

Who was Charles Manson?

image

Charles Manson was the leader of the Manson family cult.

Manson was convicted of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder for the deaths of nine people.

Charles Manson’s was born to 16 year old Kathleen Maddox. Kathleen was a prostitute and an alcoholic.

Manson had a loveless childhood, his mother once tried to sell him for a pitcher of beer.

Manson was in and out of jail and psychiatric facilities most of his life.

Manson was passionate about music. Taking inspiration from the popular music groups during the 1970′s.

Charles Manson recorded several albums of music, most of which can be found on youtube.

Manson has been described as a master manipulator. As having the ability to play to a person’s weaknesses to get what he wants.

The Manson Family Cult:

image

The Manson family cult was a commune founded in San Fransisco by Charles Manson in the late 1960s.

Manson started the cult after being released from prison.

The cult consisted of approximately 100 members, many of which were young women.

The Manson family would regularly use hallucinogens, creating music that Charles Manson would record.

Charles Manson claimed that he was the manifestation of Jesus and that he had prophecies of the race war.

Manson’s followers would blindly follow every word he said. The Manson family would follow Manson’s orders without question.

Manson took great influence from the Beatles. Claiming their album “the white album” was all written in code. Referencing the impeding race war. He claimed that the album was directed at the family.

The Manson family was preparing for the impending apocalypse that their leader kept talking about.

The Manson Family Crimes:

Bernard Crowe, a drug dealer that the Manson family had robbed, threatened to subsequently wipe out the cult.

Charles Manson responded to the threat by showing up at Crowe’s apartment and shooting him in the stomach.

Crowe never reported the shooting, not wanting to get law enforcement involved in his life.

Gary Hinman, a music teacher and student at UCLA, was tortured and then fatally shot and stabbed to death by members of the Manson family.

Charles Manson thought Hinman was wealthy, and ordered several of his followers to take Hinman hostage.

After Charles Manson, Susan Atkins, Bobby Beausoleil and Mary Brunner tortured Hinman for two days, Beausoleil stabbed Hinman to death, under Manson’s instruction.

Manson directed Susan Atkins, Linda Kasabian, Patricia Krenwinkel and Charles Watson to go to the residence of actress Sharon Tate, and kill anyone there.

Upon arrival, Atkins, Krenwinkel and Watson brutally murdered Jay Sebring, Abigail Folger, Steven Parent, Wojciech Frykowski and 8 month pregnant Sharon Tate and her unborn child.

The next night, Charles Manson, Susan Atkins, Linda Kasabian, Patricia Krenwinkel, Charles Watson, Leslie Van Houten and Steve Grogen went to the home of Leno and Rosemary LaBianca to kill the couple.

Watson, Van Houten and Krenwinkel stabbed the LaBianca’s to death.

The LaBianca’s were stabbed a total of 53 times, in the gruesome murder by the Manson family.

The Manson Family Trials:

The Manson Family Murders

Charles Manson was charged with conspiracy to commit murder and first degree murder charges.

Manson was found guilty for seven counts of first degree murder and was subsequently sentenced to death.

Before Manson could be put to death, California got rid of the death penalty, changing Manson’s sentence to life in prison without the chance of parole.

Several others in the Manson family cult were also charged with various crimes. Some members were convicted of petty crimes, others were convicted of first degree murder.

Charles Manson’s Children:

Valentine Michael Manson was born in April 1968 to Mary Brunner and Charles Manson.

Mary Brunner was the first member of the Manson family cult, whom Manson had his third child with.

Valentine now lives a quiet life after being in the custody of his maternal grandparents for the majority of his childhood.

Charles Manson Jr. was born in 1955 to Rosalie Jean Willis and Charles Manson.

Rosalie Jean Willis was Manson’s first wife, who Manson had his first child with.

Charles Manson Jr. was raised by his mother Rosalie and his step father, taking his step father’s last name, becoming Jay White.

Haunted by the Manson murders and feeling he could not escape his father’s legacy, White committed suicide by a gunshot through the head in 1993.

Charles Luther Manson was born in 1959 to Leona Stevens and Charles Manson.

Leona Stevens, Manson’s second wife with whom Manson had his second son.

Charles later changed his name to Jay Charles Warner.

Warner lives a private life, his whereabouts are unknown.

The Manson Family Murders

Charles Manson died November 19th, 2017 of a heart attack. Many of his surviving followers are still imprisoned to this day. Though Manson himself is no longer alive, he will forever leave behind a horrific legacy of the death and destruction that follows him.

Motives to Kill

What Compels Killers to Kill?

Chronically Aggressive Individuals

Easily frustrated, limited or poor impulse control

Frequently express anger or hostility

Resents authority, defiant with supervisors.

May express hostility through “passive-aggressive” behavior

Believes violence and/or aggression are legitimate responses to various interpersonal problems in life (i.e., if someone provokes you, you fight back)

Although they might never admit it, pleasure or reinforcement is derived from the expression of anger (i.e., it feels good to blow someone off; it makes you feel alive; it gives you a sense of power)

Often display the characteristics of a “stimulus seeker” - they engage in bold, fearless, or reckless behavior and are prone towards substance abuse

Most typically, violence occurs in a situational context: an offense, fight, or disagreement

Sometimes just get carried away in a particular situation (domestic violence, child battering)

Less likely to engage in acts of unexpected “explosive” violence

The Over-Controlled Hostility Type

Rarely display or express anger - they don’t cuss or yell, and may be offended by such

Emotionally rigid and inflexible: appear to be polite, serious, and sober, rarely “loose” or jocular

Cognitively rigid and inflexible: very strict about interpreting rules; usually go for the letter, rather than the spirit of the law

Morally righteous and upstanding: see themselves as “good people”

Often judgmental: see others as “not such good people”

Non-assertive or passive; their passivity causes others to take advantage of them

Anger builds up like in a pressure cooker, before they explode

After the violence, people say that they never expected it, “he always seemed like such a nice guy; he was always so quiet”

The Hurt and Resentful

Feel that people walk on them and that they are never treated fairly

When they are passed over, there is always someone else to blame

Things are easier for everyone else: other people get more and have more advantages.

They do not accept criticism well

In response to reprimands, they develop grudges, which are sometimes deeply held

They are often whiners and complainers, as a matter of attitude

They wallow in their victimization and are psychologically impotent

Violence occurs because they hold grudges and are “impotent” to deal with their anger in other ways

The Traumatized

Aggression occurs in response to a single, massive assault on their identity

Something happens that is potently offensive, absolutely intolerable, and which strips them of all sense of personal power

The essence of their existence (or their manhood) will be destroyed if they do not respond

Violence is predictable & preventable

The Obsessive

Immature and narcissistic individuals who demand or crave attention and affection

Absolutely cannot stand to be deprived of desired gratifications, like a baby who cries because mother removes the breast

When deprived of love, they continue crying: repeated phone calls, following the object of their obsession, etc.

As frustration continues, they escalate: “dead flowers”, punctured tires, suicide gestures

Violence because: “if I can’t have her, nobody can.” … or: “if she won’t have me, she won’t have anything.”

The Paranoid

Jealous Type: Delusionally believes their lover is unfaithful

Persecuted Type: Delusionally believes that people are out to get him

Typically engage in behaviors which make their paranoid beliefs come true

Delusions may reach the point at which the person is grossly out of contact with reality (may be insane).

The Insane

Rare: does not understand the nature and quality of their actions.

More typical: fundamental misperceptions of reality, incapable of rational behavior, delusional beliefs deprive them of the ability to know that their behavior is wrong, beliefs and perceptions are incongruent with reality.

Twisted, psychotic beliefs about what is right, what is wrong, and what is necessary.

The Just Plain Bad & Angry

A combination of most of the above (except for insane): angry, hostile, jealous, resentful, impotent, and disturbed individuals, who are socially isolated, socially inadequate, and who feel worthless

May be seeking attention

May be seeking revenge

When does evil begin?

Seeing the headlines about Charles Manson today gave me the idea to make these. Headlines about infamous killers set to their childhood photos.

Top to bottom: Ted Bundy, Richard Ramirez, Jeffrey Dahmer and Dylan Klebold.
