this is so fucking real cause in my sci fi story there is a school that is briefly mentioned in one arc, and instead of actually developing the narrative ive spent nearly a year working on a fictional paper published by a professor at said school on how a certain facet of the superpower system works. that prof would be mentioned by name ONCE in the actual narrative and that specific facet is literally too weak for it to ever be important to the main plot, but its fun so why not

No offense but I think some of you would be a lot happier writing a fictional atlas or encyclopedia instead of a narrative story

Just saw an ad for fucking Kellog's cornflakes wherein a shirtless blindfolded man tied to a bed is like "Wait.. are you... eating??" and it pans across the bed to reveal that his partner is, indeed, too distracted to have sex with him bc she is chowing down on corn flakes. Now I've been caught up in wondering whether:

a) John Harvey Kellog would despise this ad; the mere proximity of bondage-play to his brand name and beloved anti-porn flakes is unforgivable

b) John Harvey Kellog would enjoy this ad, because it shows a young woman forsaking the temptations of the flesh in favour of eating a wholesome and nourishing bowl of cornflakes

i was hanging out with my friend when i saw her 11 year old brother was reading one of my favourite books and we spent an hour talking about the series. later that day i was at a family event where i saw my 75 year old uncle reading my OTHER favourite book and we also bonded over that one. my tastes trancend time.

Theres probably more stuff I mostly included sketch/acting related stuff this spiral mostly started because I had an energy drink for the first time in years and no pressing work to do and I just LOOOOVE the specific style of sketch comedy that In Cahoots and Paul and Luke did cause its the sort of silly shit I make with my own improv group and I just love those vibes.
