Vintage bamboo weevils! These specimens are older than me! By, like, a lot!
Because bamboo weevils are from Asia, and these are very old, I decided to try and mimic staples of classic Asian art, like the deep green of bamboo leaves and the bright, lucky color red
Cozy and also sleepy in the blanket fort
Extra beetle pics
Landed in water, but I saved him. Kinda crinkled but he can fly
My power went out for a couple days, but lucky for my babies, I keep hot hands
Hands you a this
The beetles are being photogenic today
My cicada artwork positioned on the wall to look like the same scene as my atlas moth
Hey! Do you by chance have a recipe or the general ingredients for the dark chocolate and matcha cake you made? I thought I was in one of the baking communities I joined at first because it looks so amazing— I was just ranting to my partner about how the photography is beautiful, the aesthetic of the woven basket and wooden supplies and such is immaculate, the mushroom candles amazing, the tumeric dye genius, and the matcha is not only so artistically beautiful because it emulates grass for the beetle but also a culinary delicacy because matcha and dark chocolate would go SO hard together
I'm sorry this is probably so weird but God I love that cake
(also I know I don't know you but happy birthday!!!)
The cake itself is box mix with milk instead of water and an extra egg, but my icing recipe is special! A standard size box of instant pudding mix (the small one, white chocolate flavor), ⅓ cup of powdered sugar, and 1 pint of heavy whipping cream. I added a few spoonfuls of matcha until it looked pretty. I double that recipe for a full-size cake and triple it for two boxes. Oh and the candles are from Michael's! I'm really happy you appreciate my baking and photography!! Also I don't think the message is weird, I'm always happy to share my recipes! (^_^)
