Level nine druid killed by the itsy-bitsy spider

We’re playing tomb of annihilation, and we made it to the actual tomb. Galadin the Elven Druid, level NINE, used wild shape to turn into a fly to investigate a room up ahead. The DM described holes in the floor. 

“I fly into one of the holes.” The holes were full of spiders. Not giant spiders. Just spiders. And they attacked. At one hit point, Galadin went down. He went out with a Nat 1 for his final death save. Rest in piece, you magnificent idiot.

I know it ain’t gonna be me who wins this but eeh, why not try?

You guys ever notice how hollywood is afraid of people who aren’t conventionally attractive?

I might be wrong about this because I don’t watch a lot of live-action movies or tv shows.

Like, in the “makeover movies” where they take an “ugly” girl and make her “pretty”, she’s just conventionally attractive but with messy hair and glasses?

Whenever they hire an actress or actor who isn’t conventionally attractive, they’re usually there to be the butt of a joke, or evil. I want to see more protagonists that aren’t conventionally attractive! In all genres! Give me a fantasy movie where the main character has large front teeth! Give me a sci-fi show where the protagonist has a lazy eye! Give me a rom-com where the main love interest has acne! I want to see traits that society doesn’t see as attractive being normalized!
