it is simultaneously simple and complicated. to say “i love you” is simple. it means i want what’s best for you, that i will always take care of you. if it were only “i love you” everything would be so easy, but it’s not. it is “i love you secretly”, it is “i love you but you don’t love me”. that complicates things in more ways than i can count. nothing is easy.
