I just realized that I’ve never written about Alastor’s shadow before. Why? I don’t know, but what I do know is that the thought of him sending out his shadow to look after you is so endearing to me. Hell is a terrible place, and while you’re more than capable of defending yourself, the mere idea of anything befalling his precious little doe irks him. So, every time you go somewhere without him, his ears flick toward your direction—a subtle command his shadow knows all too well.

The best part is that you’re completely unaware of this, but that’s because Alastor purposely distracts you with a kiss as he gives his shadow the command. Thus, a twinge of confusion always falls over your features whenever you bump into an unsavory individual and receive a squeaked apology instead of a well-deserved curse. Everybody knows who your partner is, but to be equally as feared as him is a strange affair, albeit one that you wouldn’t trade for the world.

And neither would Alastor’s shadow, who follows you across Hell like an ecstatic puppy, tail wagging, and all. “Linger nearby,” he’s specifically told, but he purposely maintains a respectable distance from you because then, he can catch unsuspecting sinners by surprise. The high-pitched yelps, the horrified shrieks, the way even the largest of them cower underneath your small frame as he suddenly manifests behind you, he loves it just as much as his master loves you.

I think there's some medias that you just cannot meaningfully engage with if your main priority is shipping

Disguising your hatred for feminism by saying "but they are misandrists" is so illogical.

If one woman claims to be a feminist and misandrist, the entire movement will be discredited and shunned for existing. But if millions of men abuse people, it's "not all men".

It has come to my attention that some of my fellow aroace fans of Alastor feel isolated in the fandom. For fans of Alastor who do not like shipping the advice is usually to block the ship tags and block people who post ships without proper tagging. However, this has led to Tumblr's blocking system apparently working against them as the tag tends to be almost empty for them. This blog aims to fix that by creating a way for sex/romance-repulsed fans of Alastor to enjoy the Alastor tag without having to worry.

Everything from the #alastor tag will be reblogged to this blog except for the following:

Sex/romance ship posts: the main purpose of the blog is to remove this from the equation, allowing repulsed aroace fans to view platonic versions of the ships without worry.

RP posts: No one can predict in what direction a role-playing blog might go as it depends on the interactions between the blog and those who send in messages. I don't want to create the idea that the RP blog is sex/romance-free only for it to go in that direction in the future

Anti-Hazbin content: I do not repost such content on my main blog and I will not post that here. The idea of this blog is for people to have fun so I will not bring that negativity into this space.

Even if you have a ship tag blocked, you can click on it on this blog with the knowledge that it will be platonic. In addition to using the original tags by the creators of the posts, all posts are tagged with #filtered aroace alastor. Hopefully, this will be fun.

ppl will be like i don’t want to read ooc fics and not realise fans have so many personal interpretations of canon that ooc means a different thing to different ppl. like my favourite fics i’ve ever read all have slightly different characterisations and yet i devour them all with hunger. what makes a fic great, to me, maybe has more to do with consistency of voice than with a consensus on what ‘in character’ means, more to do with the quality of writing and the strength of the premise and whether my heart gets shattered and healed or not

Got about 16 hours left to decide if I'm gonna splurge for CSP ex ver. 2.0, and I wanted to do something quick and easy to see if I would indeed use the animation feature.

We'll see in a few hours I suppose. For now, I continue to work while thinking hard.

It's not impossible. I have some key points like he died in the 1910s, the mad scientist aspect, and his show's design (even though I don't know how accurate it is for the show now but still). I can work with that :3

Maybe after the second season, I'll change something about his human design, but it was still fun to try anyway.
