I agree. I was thinking back through Robert’s life. It’s been really rare and LONG, LONG ago that he let his real feelings show...other than anger. Aaron is THE only person I’ve seen adult Robert let see the REAL Robert. That’s because only Vic & Diane even remember the real Robert besides Aaron. That’s why they love him. They know the good things in Robert. Aaron really is helping Robert to recapture that part of himself. I think of Robert’s other romances, especially Chrissy. He never ever convinced me that truly deeply loved anyone. When i see Robert look at Aaron, it’s plain that he not only loves Aaron deeply, but absolutely adores Aaron. Aaron really knows that, too. Aaron showed it tonight in what he said about what Robert would do for him. I doubt that too many people have anyone who loves them as deeply as Robert loves Aaron.

Aaaaah, I’m still waiting for a scene where Robert is … full on crying. LIKE FULL ON SOBBING, and Aaron comes and comforts him, and they have both, an out pour, and then it be heartfelt too. 

I just really need Aaron to be there for Robert. I need to see more of it. I think it’s something I will never tire of seeing, because Robert puts on this bravado of being so damn strong for everyone, and he isn’t. And I need to see him crack and to see Aaron be the one to see him in his fragments, see the other side to Robert.

And then comfort him, hold him. Oh god, yeah.

because apparently i’ve jumped on the ‘must protect robert sugden at all costs’ train and i wanted to see FLUFF and happiness for this poor soul. but robert getting happiness is basically au so here have this *~*

Robert smiled as he walked into the pub, greeted by Chas behind the bar already waving a pint glass in his direction with a cheeky smile on her face. 

“You on the beer tonight, Rob? Or is tonight one of your sophisticated nights? Chardonnay will it be?” She cackled. There was a time when Robert found Chas’ laugh one of the most annoying sounds in the world Now, he laughed with her and shook his head at the teasing he endured, daily he might add.

“Oh just get me a beer, would ya? Please, m’ bar lady?” This had become somewhat of a routine between them, since Rob was always early to his and Aaron’s dates and Aaron was always categorically late. Usually because of Liv. Sometimes because of Adam, or Paddy. It used to annoy him, but now he couldn’t help but smile as he scanned the pub to see who was in tonight.

I think Robert was intrigued by Aaron in the Woolpack when Aaron just said “I’ll remember that when I stop being gay!” Their first kiss was when Robert began to fall in love with Aaron, imo. By the middle of January 2015. it was certain, but he continued to fight it. Vic knew Robert better than Robert knew himself. She KNEW he was head over heals in love with Aaron. 

When Robert says "you deserve that for my car" that was the first moment I could instantly tell Robert was strongly attracted to Aaron, & I knew what was coming😏

Yeah you knew right then that there was something with them, there was an instant connection for sure.
