HAPPY LATE BDAY, SATORU!
happy birthday to my king
p.s: (Yuji and Megumi made the cake, Nobara kept "tasting" if its good)
“what if kids identify with something and it ends up just being a phase-?” good. stop teaching and expecting kids (and adults honestly) to formulate permanent traits and ideas of themselves. everything in life is a phase. that doesn’t make it any less legitimate while you experience it. let people explore themselves and know it’s okay if what you think about yourself changes.

Oh yes, I definitely get frustrated when Gojo gets reduced to a gay twink attached to Geto or, the other side which either overglaze him or completely disregard his character.
Yes, he was very upset over Geto leaving but he has every right to be upset. Geto was practically one of the few people he's close to or probably the person he's close to. I'd be too. Though, I do make fun of it, I don't like exaggerating it unnecessarily. If any one of us were in his place, we'd be in a much, much worse state. I'd say if Gojo was as clingy as the fics depicted him to be, he would've not made it after Geto died. But he did. Just because he moved forward, it doesn't mean he still isn't hurt by it. He wanted his best friend back, but he understood Geto and him were now on opposing sides and there is no third option. Geto had already killed a hundred people, including his own parents, there is no turning back.
I don't think Gojo is actually very clingy, whenever he is "clingy", he's joking or being completely unserious. This man stole his student's skirt and wore it (grown ass man). I feel like people forget how silly he is, the most popular depictions of his character are glazing or sexualisation, it somehow overshadows his usual unseriousness although it was very prominent from the moment we meet him. He's only being "clingy" because he wants a reaction out of someone. This man teases a lot of people, Utahime, Nanami and Ichiji are major victims, we see it a lot, yet people — ignore it?
Humour is just clearly his coping mechanism. It's not like he'd even consider himself worthy of talking about his struggles in the first place. He's the wall between cursed spirits and jujutsu society, he expects no one (but someone as powerful, if not more than him) to understand the stress he experiences. Take the scene where he acts all cheerful RIGHT AFTER he killed Geto. Akutami stated he had a mental breakdown afterwards — it's a facade and a coping mechanism. To him and a lot of his peers, the jujutsu world didn't need Satoru Gojo, they needed curse spirits exorcist Satoru Gojo. His goal was to change that but until he finishes nurturing the next generation of sorcerers, he has to remain the Strongest. Wait, actually, I don't think he wanted to descend lower, he wanted his students to reach that level.
Anyway it's 12:35am in the goddamned morning and I need sleep... I shall end my rant here.

Heyo!
I was a lil curious whether you have SatoSugu ship fics written. I haven't read much of it and also because I dropped so many because of 18+ stuff and I don't like the interpretations of the characters.
So far, I am loving your take on both Gojo and Geto — have both your analyses saved to look at again when I'm writing. They're both amazing, I'm telling you.!
I know I could just yk, scroll around but I feel like hearing from the awesome person themselves is better.
Anyway, hope you're having a good day/night! :D
Hey! :) First of all, thank you so much for your praise on my JJK Character analysis!! ☹️🫶 I spent a decent amount of time thinking about these characters, trying to understand how they think, why they do/did what they did! It’s a huge compliment to hear and know that you’re using them as reference!! It’s so rewarding to know that the posts I released into the void have some sort of impact/that they’re appreciated. I’m still learning more about them as time goes on, too!
Suguru Analysis here, and Satoru Analysis here, for anyone who wants to read it!
Secondly, no, I haven’t written any satosugu stuff. Maybe one day? It’s an interesting thing to think about, how the two might interact if they ever met one on one after their fallout (prior to geto invading Jujutsu Tech ofc). I actually am going to make a third analysis post on the mischaracterization of Gojo in the JJK fandom, especially with Satosugu. People tend to completely erase Gojo’s strengths and personality in certain fan takes. Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate ships, but I think that people reduce Gojo to a sniveling mess of a man hung up on his ex best friend/lover, when that’s really not the case— Gojo’s strength is his ability to move forward, regardless of who he loses. Gege said this himself, that Gojo knows anyone can die at any point. Gojo was a man who was raised to be a weapon, shouldered a huge responsibility, and in order to do so, he couldn’t be the sensitive and clingy type of guy that people write in their fics (which sucks to hear if you’re emotionally invested in him, and people often don’t wanna exit their delusions). This doesn’t mean that Gojo isn’t touchy-feely, he def can be, but emotionally? He isn’t clingy. He could’ve been a WONDERFUL yandere character based on his childhood/teenage isolation, but Gojo didn’t have an incredibly strong sensitivity for others. That’s why he didn’t turn into a villain. He was, ultimately and unfortunately, a successful product, shaped by the people who treated him as less than human. Or that’s my current take, at least.
These goddamned homosexuals. CAN THEY STOP MAKING ME SOB REPEATEDLY??

Btw, did Wreak follow Nice in the doomed yaoi death land or should we apply the "until I don't see the body he ain't dead" logic?
Bc no one mentioned that he died, not even in passing, nor did we see his body
so people who do this may see it.
Something I've noticed growing more common in my life recently has been people using exclusively "they" when referring to binary trans people who don't use "they"
Using "they" when referring to someone when you don't know is seen as "better" in a lot of spaces now, which I can agree with as you don't know what their actual pronouns are. The problem I've noticed is that when meeting a trans person, a lot of people seem to default to "they" even after being told what pronouns they actually prefer. This can be for a lot of reasons, but the most common ones I hear are "I didn't want to assume" and "its not misgendering, they is neutral!"
Person A meets person B, a trans woman. A doesn't know B's pronouns and so refers to B as "they." B corrects A, saying she prefers "she," but A continues to say "they" because its gender neutral. However, A does not do the same to cis women.
The use of exclusively "they" on trans people but not cis people, no matter your excuse, shows that you don't really see them as what they identify as and is quite transphobic since you're literally ignoring their identity and not seeing them as how they want to be seen.
Simple, just ask them their pronouns and then ACTUALLY USE THEM!! If he says he, DONT USE EXCLUSIVELY THEY! If she says she, DONT USE EXCLUSIVELY THEY! If they say they, well. yeah, use they, obviously. If xe say neopronouns and you don't know how to use those, just ask! If any part of someone's identity confuses you, just fucking ask them instead of assuming, for the love of god, and once they tell you, don't ignore what they said.
That's all. Just please stop calling people who don't use "they" by that.
I got this comment and thought I should clarify and add on some MORE things you should avoid doing now that this post has aged a bit, and I've had more time to think!
Please do not attack this person, i dont think they meant it in any bad way
While yes, 'gender' does not directly tell you someones pronouns or what terms they're comfortable with, but misgendering doesn't only mean calling a man a woman or a woman a man. Misgendering is usually thought to only mean using a trans person's assigned sexs' pronouns or deadnaming, but it's actually more than just that, it includes what terms you use for them, how you group them, and what societal expectations you put onto them based on their assigned sex, not just their gender.
* Obviously, these won't apply to every situation. These are just general rules to follow UNTIL YOU KNOW THE PERSON. Once they tell you what they're comfortable with, then do what they ask, not what some random tumblr post says
Calling all gender non-conforming people 'it'
Deadnaming, obviously
Using gendered pronouns for a non-conforming person
Arguing with someone over the validity of their identity
Automatically introducing someone as trans
Assuming someone is out to other family or friends
Using incorrectly gendered terms, including when referring to a group
Exclusively using gender neutral terms/compliments
TLDR: Don't say, "But some people use it/its!" and read the paragraph directly above the numbered list.
Stop telling me that some people use it/its, I already know this. I used it/its at one point, and many of my friends do. As i said in the paragraph litrrally directly before, these won't apply to every situation!! Please stop trying to correct me when I already said that it's not going to be universal and to follow the person's wishes once you know them. Its making me feel like a bad person despite the fact i started it with that clarification. It's literally in the paragraph directly above your complaint. I was referring to people who use it/its exclusively when referring to gender non-conforming people who don't use it/its, instead of the persons actual pronouns. Just read.
I debated whether or not I should make this post, but decided that I have to, because there are so many people, especially in America who do not know this. And it is SO important. So please take 5 minutes of your time and read this.
Let me explain to you why Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s statements about autism are extremely dangerous and should deeply concern you (not only if you are autistic)
For that you need to understand a bit about the history of autism, so you can see the parallels to what is happening now.
The whole "high functioning autism" thing exists for a reason. Not the one you think though. You have probably heard that "high functioning autism" was called Aspergers Syndrome before. This concept was created during the 1930s and 1940s in Austria (although it was not called Aspergers syndrome back then). There is a lot more to this, but for the purpose of this post I will keep it short.
The nazis saw every disabled or mentally ill person, including children as unworthy to live. The main purpose of the Asperger Syndrome was to separate the children into two groups. The ones they could use for their causes, indoctrinate with the nazi values and force to work. And those we would call people with high support needs today, the group they deemed as not worth to even be alive. (This does not mean that "high functioning autistic people were not also killed, they were.)
This diagnosis was a death sentence for those children. To be clear, the nazis did not only kill autistic children and adults but also mentally ill and disabled children and adults.
The next thing you have to understand is that a shocking amount of people knew about this back then and there were parents who willingly and even gladly handed their children to those institutions, knowing they would kill their children, because they themselves saw their own children as worthless, a burden and not valuable to society.
Back to what Robert F. Kennedy said. One of his first statements was "They will never be able to pay taxes." (Refering to autistic children, especially targeting those with high support needs) And that tells you everything you need to know. Because that is how he and a concerning amount of people determine the worth of a person. If they work, if they pay taxes, if they consume and contribute to the economy. If not, they are seen as worth less than working people.
Sounds familiar, does it? Because the nazis used the same measurements to determine peoples worth. That is no coincidence.
They always come for the vulnerable first.
They always come for the minorities first.
It is this belief that a certain group of people is worth more or less than others that is so dangerous!
Because many people already see neurodivergent, mentally ill and disabled people as less. Less worthy, less useful, less human. So it's easy for him to go ahead with those statements, because it does not concern the majority of people.
So please educate yourself about the topic, read into what happened in Nazi Germany. Read about how it happened, how everything started! Because if we don't pay attention to this now, it might be too late!
