── .✦ LORIE JANE ꪆৎ (𝐛. 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟖 ◞ 𝟏𝟗𝟒𝟑) is a Folk singer, supermodel , poet and pin-up girl of the 1960s. She’s credited as the First Black Supermodel, known for her Witchy style and lasting impact on the beauty and music industry, paving the way for other women of color. She was the starter of the revolutional ‘WHIMSY’ movement of the mid-60s, using her music and style to influence and motivate others. Her bold&wild personality not only attracted attention from British and international audiences but also from her childhood best friend : BEATLE George (𝐛. 𝐅𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟐𝟒 ◞ 𝟏𝟗𝟒𝟑) who she later married (𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 ◞ 𝟏𝟗𝟔𝟒). She continues to make her mark on her industries and is proving time and time again that she is one of the most Influential People in the Swinging Sixties.

── .✦ EARLY LIFE ꪆৎ Lorelai Jane Campbell was born in Merseyside, England on the 8th of March, 1943 into a middle income family. She’s of Dominican, Nigerian and French descent, growing up in with her twin brother Lorenzo and 3 older siblings (Francis,Joyce, Roger). She began to take an interest in playing guitar very early on, showing her songs to her family (which were very supportive), her passion for modeling sprouted in her late teens.
── .✦ LOVE AFFAIRS ꪆৎ While Lorie Jane rose to fame - she wasn’t the only one from the merseyside to do so in the early 60s. The Beatles had been taking the world by storm. And she was well aware of them, as she had been dating lead guitarist George Harrison since 1961 , knowing him since her childhood days. The two officially tied the knot on November 11th 1964. Despite being very private they remain an it-couple.
── .✦ CAREER ꪆৎ The buzz around Lorie Jane began in 1962 after she released her first album ‘Heartlands Moon’ on her 19th birthday (𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟖 ◞ 𝟏𝟗𝟔𝟐) . The Album featured hits like ‘One too many mornings’ , ‘The rising of the moon’ , and ‘Universal Soldier’ . The album peaked at #4 on the uk top 40 charts. A month later she Released the same album in America, becoming a huge hit and achieving the #1 spot on the billboard charts for 2 consecutive weeks. A few months prior to releasing her album she had signed into a modeling agency, kickstarting her modeling career, after her success in the folk music scene she had a boost with her modeling career, Modeling for Glamour, Vogue, Mademoiselle and Seventeen. she had brought a unique look to the world of fashion which brought her alot of attention, many designers had taken inspiration from her and soon enough she was an epitome of the era’s most iconic trends. Soon enough her photos had been gaining mass production, turning her not only into a supermodel but a pin-up girl . Lorie often challenged her industries and broke many barriers , often writing protest songs or openly speaking up about her opinions in interviews or through writing and publishing poems, many articles deemed her ‘controversial’ but no matter how others perceived her she was an activist, preaching about what’s right.
