Sebastian : I'll offer you some friendly advice- Kimi: I don't want your advice. Sebastian : Well, then consider it unfriendly advice.
Their smiles are directed at each other.
They are literally a TikTok trend: "okeokeoke and lalala" :)
(they are so cute, i can't)
I can't stop thinking about how touch is one of their love languages.
no bc what the actual fuck was this
Oh, shit.
My imagination gave me the idea of Simi and their evening gatherings. They watch movies or discuss past races (this happens less often than watching movies and TV series) and they almost never finish watching because Kimi falls asleep halfway through and Sebastian is forced to turn off the TV so as not to disturb Kimi's sleep, who is comfortably settled on his shoulder. He covers himself with a blanket and watches Kimi's peaceful face for a few more seconds. (Seb never complained that they didn't finish what they started)
(and I seriously think that Seb would be one of the few people who would know the first places to look for Kimi if he suddenly wanted to sleep between races)
p.s. honestly, I still laugh at the photo where Kimi fell asleep under the table surrounded by jackets and helmets. I understand him.
Happy Simi day!
bonus:
"I promised Kimi that one day I would beat him [at badminton]. We're both getting older. I'm eight years younger than him, so at the latest when he's really old and I'm just a younger old man, I'll beat him in that game." - Seb, 2008
"He said to me that he is gonna beat me when I get older, but so far it hasn't happened." - Kimi, 2021
Don't know how to explain it but Simi is the opposite of Brocedes. Met later in life vs childhood friends. Strangers to best friends vs best friends to strangers. My favourite teammate vs the teammate I don't speak about. Being teammate brought us closer vs being teammate destroyed us. Seb and Kimi always saying to the press the other was their only friend on the grid vs Lewis "We are not friends". Seb being the one person Kimi extensively talked to vs Nico speaking in any language bar English to avoid speaking with Lewis. Kimi staying at Ferrari for Seb vs Nico leaving Mercedes without a warning to Lewis. Seb and Kimi always talking about eachothers vs Lewis being silent about Nico (Nico is talking to a wall). Seb saying that it's "impossible" to fight with Kimi because everytime there was an issue they openly discussed it vs Lewis and Nico fighting tooth and nail. Seb and Kimi openly despising and never using "mind games" with their teammate vs the psychological war that Nico and Lewis carried on (and Nico saying he doesn't regret playing mind games). Seb and Kimi defending eachothers against journalists vs Nico and Lewis using press to wage war. Seb and Kimi both taking their distance from F1 vs Nico and Lewis still clinging to the sport in any way they can. Ferrari red vs Mercedes silver, the first being the last heartbeats of one of the most beautiful friendship on the F1 grid, the second the first signs of the beginning of a heartbreaking war. "It's like I've known you my entire life" vs "I used to know you, but I don't anymore".
Also Charles being the son of Simi's divorce (went to Ferrari when Kimi was dropped) and Max being the son of Brocedes's divorce (he was there in 2016, front row seat).
here is seb and kimi wearing matching shorts <3

Okay pure Simi Angst
I don’t really know if I feel 100% comfortable with writing character deaths in rpf so this will probably be the only story containing one.
If you are looking for a happy ending my last ficlet post is this story but with Seb answering Kimi’s calls <3
Kimi had been watching the race from the comfort of his living room, a glass of whiskey in hand, until the camera shifted to a horrifying scene. A massive pile-up had occurred on the track. Cars were strewn across the asphalt like broken toys, smoke rising in ominous plumes.
His stomach churned with dread as he recognized one of the damaged vehicles—a Ferrari. The Fin didn’t dare to let out a breath as the commentator’s voice echoed through his living room, struggling to identify the drivers involved.
Kimi's heart stopped. Without wasting a moment, he grabbed his phone and called Sebastian. The call went straight to voicemail. He tried again, his hands trembling, but there was still no answer. His mind raced as he left a message, his voice taut with fear.
"Seb, it's Kimi. I saw the crash. Where are you? Please, call me back. I need to know you’re okay."
Abandoning his drink, Kimi dashed out of his house, his keys already in hand. He jumped into his car and sped towards the track. The roads blurred around him as he dialed again, each unanswered ring tightening the knot in his stomach.
He left another voicemail, his voice breaking with desperation.
“Sebastian, it’s Kimi again. Please pick up. I’m on my way. Just let me know what's going on, if you’re alright. Please.”
He weaved through traffic, pushing his car to its limits, desperate to reach his friend. Another call, another voicemail.
"Seb, I'm getting closer. I’m almost there. Just hold on, okay? We'll sort this out together. I promise. Call me back when you get this."
As he neared the track, the scene grew more chaotic. Emergency vehicles swarmed the area, lights flashing, sirens blaring. Kimi parked haphazardly and ran towards the paddock, his phone still in hand. He left another voicemail, his voice raw with emotion.
"Seb, it’s Kimi. I’m here. I can see the car. Please, God, let me hear your voice.”
Officials tried to hold him back, but Kimi’s determination was unwavering. He pushed through the crowd, eyes scanning for any sign of his friend. He reached the barriers, the sight of the mangled car making his heart drop. He left another voicemail, his voice shaking.
"Seb, where are you? Tell me you got out of there. Please. Pick up the damn phone and tell me you’re alright.”
He spotted the paramedics, their faces grim, working around the wreckage. His stomach churned as he dialed again, refusing to give up hope.
"Seb, please tell me you’re alright. Why won’t you answer? Answer me, Seb, come on. Don’t do this to me."
Kimi watched helplessly as they pulled Sebastian from the car, his body limp. The medics worked quickly, but there was a finality in their movements that made Kimi's blood run cold. He called once more, voice cracking with desperation.
"Seb, it's Kimi. Help is on the way. Stay strong. I’ll try to get to you."
The paramedics loaded Sebastian onto a stretcher, and Kimi saw the truth in their eyes. He dialed again, one last time, knowing it was futile but unable to stop himself.
"Seb, they're here. Hang tight. We'll get you out safely. I’ll be there. I won’t let you go. You won’t be alone. I promise.”
Tears streamed down Kimi’s face as he climbed over the barriers and stumbled forward, his worst fears realized. The medics tried to keep him back, but he broke through, reaching for his friend, his voice a broken whisper. All those voicemails, all those desperate messages, and now he was too late.
“I’m here, Seb. I’m here.”
The paramedics pulled away the grip he had on Sebastian. Pushing him back and telling him to stay back as the ambulance doors closed and drove off without leaving him a chance to go with them.
As he got guided off of the track and back into the pits he left one final voicemail, his voice raw with emotion.
“Seb, they’re going to fix this. The docs will take good care of you. You’re going to be alright. Just focus on getting better. See you soon.”
But deep down, Kimi knew. He knew that Sebastian wouldn't answer. He wouldn't call back. The reality of the situation crashed over him like a wave, and he sank to his knees, collapsing onto the floor of the Ferrari garage, the phone slipping from his grasp.
The following days were a blur of sorrow and disbelief. The racing community mourned the loss of one of its brightest stars, but for Kimi, it was a personal hell.
He listened to the voicemails he had left, each one a painful echo of his desperate race against time. He visited Seb’s memorial, leaving flowers and sitting in silence, the memories of their friendship playing in his mind.
He spoke to Seb in those quiet moments, his words filled with a deep, abiding love.
“Hey Seb, it’s Kimi. I hope you look down to us once in a while. I’ll keep racing through life, just like you taught me. Last week I won at rally but you were all I could think about. I stood there, while the whole crowd was cheering, thinking how I wish you could be there with me. I miss you.”
Though Sebastian would never answer again, Kimi found a measure of solace in those voicemails. He had tried, he had loved, and in the end, that was all that mattered.
I’m in a good mood so here’s another little thingy I wrote.
Not entirely satisfied with it but I hope you guys enjoy nonetheless!
Retired Kimi hears about Seb crashing at a race nearby. Panicking he makes his way to the track and tries to call him but for obvious reasons he’s always ending up at Seb’s voicemail.

Ok here’s the promised Simi ficlet
You can actually read this as platonic and romantic so I hope you guys like it.
I greatly appreciate any feedback and maybe even some prompts or requests if y’all want me to write more specific ficlets.
Anyway here’s Kimi being a gentle sweetheart and wiping away our golden puppy’s tears
Please ignore any spelling or grammar mistakes or dm me if they are too annoying lmao
In 2010, Vettel’s rise was meteoric. His sheer talent and the prowess of the Red Bull Racing team created a formidable combination. The first championship was a dream come true. Yet, even then, whispers of criticism began to surface. Some questioned whether his success was due to the car rather than his skill. The phrase “a champion built by engineers” started making rounds in the press.
By 2011, the whispers had grown louder. Journalists began to dissect every aspect of Vettel’s driving. “Does Vettel really have the racing intelligence of a true champion?” one headline questioned. Every maneuver, every decision on the track was analyzed with a fine-tooth comb. If he won, it was expected. If he faltered, it was headline news.
The 2012 season was perhaps the most grueling. The competition was fiercer, and Vettel’s dominance was no longer a given. Media outlets latched onto any sign of vulnerability. “Is the pressure getting to Vettel?” they asked after a rare mistake at the Malaysian Grand Prix. The relentless questions about his mental fortitude began to chip away at his once unshakeable confidence.
By 2013, despite securing his fourth championship, Vettel was exhausted. The constant barrage from journalists was relentless. At every press conference, the questions were sharper, the critiques more pointed. “Does Vettel’s dominance signal a lack of real competition in F1?” and “Is Vettel ruining the sport’s unpredictability?” were common refrains. It wasn’t just about his driving anymore; it was about his very presence in the sport.
In private, the toll was evident. Vettel, once full of vigor and passion, found himself questioning his own abilities. The joy of racing was being overshadowed by the fear of making mistakes that would be ruthlessly dissected. His team noticed the change, often finding him deep in thought, a shadow of the exuberant driver they once knew.
One particularly grueling press conference after the 2013 Japanese Grand Prix became a turning point. Despite securing yet another victory, the press conference that followed was anything but celebratory.
The room was filled with journalists, eager to ask their questions. However, this time, the tone was more aggressive and personal. One after another, they peppered Sebastian with questions that implied his success was hollow. The atmosphere was charged with a palpable tension, and it wasn’t long before the questioning turned hostile.
“Sebastian, do you think your success is more about Adrian Newey’s car than your driving skills? Do you think you’ve had an unfair advantage with the car?” one reporter asked, his voice dripping with skepticism.
“How do you respond to claims that your championships are less valuable than those of past legends because you never had real competition?” another chimed in, eyes narrowing.
His voice, usually steady and confident, wavered. “I have always given my best, on and off the track,” he said, his frustration palpable. “I respect the history of this sport and the champions who came before me. If you think my achievements are less because of the car I drive, then you underestimate the effort it takes to win consistently. This isn’t just about me; it’s about the entire team. We work hard for every single victory.”
The questions were thinly veiled accusations, each one more cutting than the last.
Vettel’s usual composed demeanor began to crack
“Do you think your dominance is ruining the sport’s excitement?”
“Isn’t it true that without the best car, you wouldn’t even be a contender?”
The relentless barrage of accusations and doubts hammered at Vettel’s psyche. He tried to maintain his composure, but the weight of the criticism was overwhelming. His answers became shorter, his voice strained. The room seemed to close in on him, the once supportive walls now echoing with doubt and disdain.
Finally, a particularly harsh question broke him. “Sebastian, do you think you’ll ever be as respected as drivers like Schumacher or Senna, given that your success is seen as less earned?”
Vettel’s eyes glossed over with a mix of frustration and hurt. He took a deep breath, trying to steady himself, but the words caught in his throat. “I… I think that’s enough for today,” he managed to say, his voice barely above a whisper. “Excuse me.”
He stood up abruptly, leaving the room in a hushed silence. The journalists, momentarily stunned, watched as he walked out, his shoulders slumped under the weight of their words.
Sebastian sank onto a bench, his head in his hands. The tears came unbidden, hot and silent, as he fought to keep his sobs from escaping. The weight of the season, the constant scrutiny, and the relentless pressure finally broke through his defenses. He felt small, overwhelmed, and terribly alone.
“Seb?”
The voice was quiet, almost a whisper, but it cut through the fog of Sebastian’s misery. He looked up to see Kimi standing a few feet away, his expression as unreadable as ever. Kimi had always been an enigma, a man of few words, but there was something in his eyes now—a depth of understanding that Sebastian hadn’t expected.
“Are you okay?” Kimi’s voice was gentle, devoid of the usual sarcasm and aloofness.
Sebastian tried to muster a response, but the words caught in his throat. He shook his head, his shoulders trembling with the effort to hold back his tears. Kimi’s presence was both comforting and disconcerting; the Finnish driver had never been one for emotional displays, and Sebastian didn’t know what to expect.
Kimi took a step closer, then another, until he was standing right beside Sebastian. Without a word, he sat down on the bench, his arm reaching out to rest gently on Sebastian’s back. The gesture was simple, but it carried a world of meaning. It was an offer of solace, a reminder that he wasn’t alone in this moment of vulnerability.
After a moment of silence Sebastian lifted his head, his eyes red-rimmed and filled with unshed tears. “I can’t do this anymore, Kimi. They keep tearing me down. No matter what I do, it’s never enough.”
Kimi pulled him into a hug, strong and reassuring. “Listen to me, Seb. You are an incredible driver. You’ve proven it time and again. The media… they don’t understand. They don’t see the hard work, the dedication. They only see the results, and they twist them to fit their narrative.”
Sebastian shuddered, hot tears slowly rolling down his cheeks and Kimi leaned back just enough to be able to look into Seb’s glassy eyes and wipe away the tears while he spoke, his voice a soothing murmur in the quiet room.
“You’ve achieved so much. Four World Championships, countless won races. Don’t let them take that away from you. Remember why you started racing. The love for the sport, the thrill of the race. That’s what matters.”
As Kimi held him, he reached up to stroke a stray curl out of Sebastian’s face, the gesture so gentle and innocent that it broke through Sebastian’s defenses. A sob escaped his lips, and he buried his face in Kimi’s chest, his body shaking with the force of his emotions. Kimi continued to whisper soothing words, his hands stroking Sebastian’s back in a steady, comforting rhythm.
The room was quiet, save for the sound of Sebastian’s muffled sobs and Kimi’s calming whispers. Sebastian clung to Kimi, drawing strength from the Fins unwavering support. He felt the knots of tension slowly begin to unwind, replaced by a sense of warmth and security.
“You are a champion, Seb, my champion” Kimi continued, his voice steady and reassuring. “Don’t let their words define you. You define yourself by your actions, by your passion.”
Sebastian nodded against Kimi’s chest, the tears still flowing but the anguish beginning to ebb.
For a long time, they sat there in silence, the noise of the outside world fading into the background. Kimi’s arms remained a steady anchor, his silent support speaking volumes. When Sebastian finally lifted his head, he saw a small, understanding smile on Kimi’s face.
“Thank you, Kimi,” he whispered. “I don’t know what I’d do without you.”
Kimi’s embrace tightening around Sebastian. “You don’t have to do anything without me. We’re in this together. And no matter what happens, I’ll always have your back.”
