This!!! Seeing kit be treated like that was genuinely disgusting and disappointing. He's still just a kid and due to fans he was rushed into settling on a sexuality, that's just not fair.

I love how much Heartstopper emphasises queer COMMUNITY and how important it is to see other people like you. Nick finding the courage to hold hands with Charlie after seeing an older gay couple. The rainbow ocean reaching out to Ben at the queer art exhibition. Coach Singh telling Nick about her wife and promising to protect him from homophobes on the rugby team. Nick watching Tara and Darcy kissing on the dance floor and realising he can be both happy and queer. Elle meeting other trans people at the art school and feeling at home.
Heartstopper constantly shows that surviving as a queer person is a group effort and it’s not only accurate, but comforting to queer youth. It’s a plot point that only a queer person could have the conscience to write.

There are so many moments in Heartstopper that are relatable, but nothing has hit me in the gut more than the moment where everyone is picking their roommates for the Paris trip and Imogen just stands there as a still point in the chaos, looking around even though she knows she's not going to spot anyone who wants her
imogen asking how nick met charlie and the others, and nick struggling to explain the phenomenon of gays just naturally gravitating towards one another without outing himself
this is why darcy threw up on mr ajayi’s bed
UHM where are all the students shipping the crap out of mr ajayi and mr farouk?? two single teachers chaperoning a schooltrip and sharing a room should end in at least 4 fanedits and a notesapp slash fanfic written on the bus.
what’s funny about good omens season 2 being gut-wrenching and devastating compared to heartstopper season 2 being fluffy and sweet is that the roles will ABSOLUTELY be reversed in their season 3’s.

Watching Darcy call Tara a princess and watching Tara help Darcy pick out a suit and overcome that fear got me feeling every emotion
and like is this just how straight people get to live? Genuinely? Like they watch shows and movies and feel this way all the time?
one of my favorite parts in heartstopper season 2 is when darcy is drunk and talking with tara, she says "I love you. I love you so much. I know it sounds like I don't mean it because I'm drunk, but I really do mean it. I love you."
