Sirius isn't a manchild that only saw Harry as James. But there is a character in canon that is like that, and that character is Snape.

I don't like snape but you can if you want (none of this is that big of a deal) but the people who act like snape was perfect and all his problems were caused by James just baffle me. Yes the Marauders were bad to Snape, but Snape was not an innocent lil boy who happened to get picked on. He was just as responsible for his actions at that age as they were, if your going to hate James for bullying you have to remember Snape was doing the same thing! It was mutual hatred. Snape was not a helpless baby he was a wizard racist! He continued to be a selfish racist person his whole life and hated on children for no reason. He held grudges about things that happened at 15 till he was almost 40. He only left the deatheaters because they were going to kill lily, he didn't care if they killed James and Harry. He was selfish till he died, his friendship with lily was ruined by him and him alone. James was a rude 15 years old, but he grew as a person. Snape didn't.

Why are people so delusional when it comes to the hp or marauders era fandom? Every single time I look up jily or jily supremcy in tiktok it's always some jegulily/ jegulus BS like some of y'all are deep in the delusion and headcannons. Why are people trying to replace Lily? Why are ppl making Sirius this super feminine man when he's not that? Why are ppl making Remus super aggressive? And making James the literal devil towards snape and then a people pleaser towards everyone else. And peter non existent? What are y'all doing!?

These are not the same characters any more. Once again the whole theme of hp/ marauders is love. James and Lily loving each other despite the danger that comes with it. They love Harry and Harry loves them. The marauders being best friends in school. The golden trio. The grief that came for Sirus, Remus, and Harry regarding James and Lily . The betrayal of Peter. This story isn't about DE and their "sad, horrendous" back stories. It's about Lily, James and Harry.

Shipping James or Lily with any DE character requires you to ignore their morals and ideologies against the pure blood DE characters to make it work. You would have to change everything about them.

Lily and James died for their son. They most likely knew the risk of having a baby, getting married, staying together but they did it anyway. James, a pure blood wizard put a target on his own back just because he was in love with a muggle born woman. Lily already had a target on her back when she came to Hogwarts.

These DE characters can be down right sadistic and evil and some ppl will still ship these characters. In reality these characters would kill each other on sight. And some will say "it's all fake anyway, let people ship" but that's the problem

Fiction relates to reality. Stories, poems, movies are all related to real situations, people, places and ideas, that's why some people can see themselves in certain stories. And by making these problematic ships, some ppl think it's cool and okay to let these situations happen irl.

It's not just shipping, it's an idea that could turn into action.

Alr. I know that I just made this account today but I quite literally can't hold it in.

But when I was reading Harry Potter fanfics with gender-bending involved, I expect the characters to still stay the same (or at least have the majority of the personality still intact). But when it comes to characters such as Severus Snape or Voldemort, the personalities are being changed until they are unrecognizable from the original character in the story, and that pisses me off more than anything (although, with my favorite characters: not so much) because why are they now acting maternal/parental when they were not in the first place??

reasons why Snape's "redemption",

doesn't mean shit:

a) he bullied lil children who were his students

b) he let the slytherins be assholes to any one who isn't pure-blood.

d) he caused more than one student to be insecure

e) a students boggart was snape even after the student's parents were crucio'd to insanity.

f) he caused a good hearted werewolf to loose his job bc one of his bullies didn't face the fate of getting his soul sucked out.

g) he made sure the said werewolf would remain unemployed from there on for the rest of his life.

h) he physically abused a fifteen year old, orphaned, abused, child by gripping his arm so tight that the child began to see stars and then threw him across the dungeon floor.

i) he made a hex that could literally KILL by the age of fifteen

j) he bullied the abused child feeling no sympathy towards him even tho the slimeball had been thru the same shit as a child

k) he invaded the said abused child's memory and CALLED IT GROSS EVEN THO IT WAS ONE OF THE ONLY MEMORIES THIS ABUSED CHILD HAD OF HIS PARENTS.

l) he made fun of tonks bc her patronus changed even tho the same shit happened to him.

m) he was racist in the wizarding way. he was racist to everyone except the woman he was, like I said before, he was unhealthily obsessed with.

n) he said that this woman was "different" while others, according to him, were worthy of hatred.

o) he joined the "Good" side bc the "bad" one targeted said woman.

p) he thought it was alright to have her family killed, to have everything she loved, ripped away from her.

q) he didn't care for lily's happiness, he just wanted to be a pathetic rebound.

r) he is the reason she died. voldemort found out about the prophesy bc of snape.

s) oh also, this one's for the people who say shit like "but he protected harry bc of his lOvE for lily". he "protected" Harry sometimes, like in mortal danger, bc he promised dumbledore.

t) he threatened to almost kill Trevor, Neville's toad. no wonder snape's his boggart

there's definitely a lot more and you know it.

HE ABUSED HIS POSITION OF POWER CONSTANTLY AND BULLIED CHILDREN TO THE POINT HE WAS THEIR GREATEST FEAR!! SNAPE IS A PIECE OF SHIT AND DIDN’T DESERVE A REDEMPTION
