L murmuring that they should install more surveillance cameras and take a more aggressive approach. light countering that the suspect has so far seemed amenable to wedy's flirting. L pointing out that they can do both and light complaining that it's a waste of time and money and L saying well then, light, let's make it a wager. and the two of them shake hands over L's slice of strawberry cake.

no one else in the office knows what they mean when light's face scrunches and he says, "the usual stakes?" and L murmurs, "of course." the stakes being that when light fucking loses he has to ride L in his favorite office chair and L gets to feed him macarons about it.
