Smoky quartz can be used to protect against all forms of bad luck and to enhance energy flow through the hands. It increases creativity and intuition and transforms depression and pessimistic thought into joy and optimism. For some reason in Autumn I’m always drawn towards this crystal and I always place a few pieces of smoky quartz on my altar for Samhain. Started a mini art museum in my journal so I can always have physical copies of my favorites with me! With final papers and exams coming up, I’ll need all the comfort I can get, but I think these will help ✨

I’ve been very unproductive this weekend because my boyfriend was leaving town today and I wanted to spend as much time with him as possible. Now that he’s left, though, I’m trying to get into some thesis research this evening!

At times when i read my previous journal, i felt more of myself there than i am at the moment. I found more of myself there than i am breathing here. It felt odd to feel alive always when the time has passed.
