romanticize your life. i cannot stress this enough. use scented shower gel and shampoo, so you look forward to showers. go on walks and see how pretty the sky looks. notice the wildflowers on the roadside as you drive. light a candle when you get home to make your room smell good. notice & appreciate the little things in life. it won't cure your mental illness, but it'll make it easier to exist in this world.

This makes me so soft. Look at Marco, he’s so supportive. Like the rest of them are too of course, but while they occasionally seem to giggle at his mistakes, Marco never does (he actively tries not to laugh). He’s just quietly encouraging and proud of him and that’s why I love our angry little owl so much. He has the softest heart.

But the rest of them are all so proud of him and happy for him too and I love them for it.

every single day i think about how horribly rumi’s poems have been translated from persian into english & how they’ve been turned from gorgeous poems abt islamic spirituality into these… pithy vapid little quotes that white people post as instagram captions. white scholars & translators straight-up falsified and misrepresented the essential themes of and islamic mysticism inherent to his work in favor of turning it into easy-to-consume love poetry & it never fails to make me angry

This series that is rooted in gore, despair, loss and tragedy. A series where monsters roam and kill all because of human desire. Names itself after a song a broken girl made up on a broken guitar with only four strings.

It shows that even though loss and grief and devastation runs wild it does not consume everything, there is always hope, there is always humanity.

Humans are flawed beings, they cheat, steal, kill, wreck but they make songs, they create art, they dance and they smile. Life is more than our low moments, life is the small moments that makes us feel at home. No matter how few and far between.
