aka jason wildly preferring you over everyone else
4 in 1 blurbs
warnings: standard batfam arguing etc.
You sit curled up embarrassingly close to Jason on the couch, head on his shoulder. The team is still in their gear as they filter into the living room, masks and helmets discarded in scattered locations between here and the cave. The mission had been fairly simple and with all of them together it only took a couple hours to finish up.
As you waited, Alfred had kept your mind busy in the kitchen while he taught you how he makes his famous ice cream from scratch.
The clamor of the heroic party’s return had made itself known sooner than later, and you think your face must have displayed your emotions nicely because Alfred nodded you away with a small smile and no second thought.
You’d walked into the living room, weaving through the mess of siblings until a hand snuck out on your left and grabbed your wrist. You barely had time to look at him before Jason pulled you down to sit next him on the sofa. He wrapped an arm over your shoulder, pulling you in and leaving virtually no space between you. His armor sits heavy against you, but a welcome weight on your shoulders.
Tim plops down on the couch across from you and you can just make out a bit of blood on the side of his head, aptly accompanied by an irritated look sprawled across his face. It’s not enough blood to be concerned about—not for them—but you can venture a guess that whatever they were up to shouldn’t have called for any injuries and his pique is likely directly related to that.
Though Dick’s goading aura might have something to do with it too, as he comes crashing down next to him a second later, partially sitting on Tim’s cape and pulling him into an awkward angle.
Nightwing doesn’t seem too perturbed by the younger vigilante’s agitation and curt manner of pushing him off.
The others are too caught up in chatter to pay much attention to you, and you can be certain that’s why Jason takes that moment to press a kiss to the side of your head. He lets his lips linger there for just a second as you lean into him.
Alfred’s own entrance is the only thing able to subside the flurry of conversations skirting around the room.
“A job well done,” he commends with a nod. “A selection of ice creams awaits you in the kitchen.”
He gives you a sly wink before retreating back through the swinging door, leaving Stephanie and Cass to practically trip over themselves trying to beat each other to the kitchen. Robin follows after unhurried, mask still on, with his hands behind his back.
Jason kneads your thigh before pushing himself up to stand. He turns back, looking down to you. “What do you want?” he asks softly.
You hum, "Just strawberry's good."
Tim sits up, "Can I—”
"No, you've got legs,” Jason grumbles, stalking off to the kitchen.
Dick barks out a laugh and you bite back a smile.
Tim looks absolutely aghast.
“That’s such bullshit. You know, he used to be nice.”
“No he didn’t,” Dick laughs, shaking his head. “Not since you’ve known him.”
Stephanie stumbles out of the kitchen then, the door hitting her back on the way, as she mutters a curse behind her. You can vaguely makeout Jason grunting something back before she rolls her eyes.
Steph looks at you, shaking her head as she returns to her seat, “You live like this?”
You shrug, “He’s nice to me.”
“Yeah, I bet,” Tim grumbles.
Jason returns after Cass a minute later with a bowl of strawberry ice cream and two spoons. He expertly ignores Tim’s unwavering glare as he resituates himself beside you.
He scoops your legs up over his lap and positions the bowl in between you, wrapping the sleeve of his jacket around it so that the cold porcelain doesn’t make contact with your skin.
The others have set themselves up so that the four of them are stuffed up against each other on the sofa adjacent to you, very obviously examining you both.
And while you’re willing to acknowledge the amused stares and singular glare, Jason only sighs heavily, rolling his eyes as he glares at the coffee table.
Only a few seconds of this are allowed to go by before he pulls over a throw pillow and sets it over your knees, so that it rests atop your heads like a mini-fort, successfully blocking out his siblings' view of the two of you.
You smile and press a light kiss to his shoulder as he simmers.
Regrettably, you miss the way Damian side-eyes the pillow above you as he re-enters the room, perching himself atop the back of the couch behind the others.
“This is so nice,” Dick preens. “He used to just leave the room when too many of us gathered in one place. Now he has to stay.”
Stephanie watches the makeshift fort with wary eyes, scooping ice cream into her mouth. “Yeah…I don’t wanna freak you guys out but, uh…”
It’s quiet for a moment and you guess Cass is speaking.
You’re proven right when Stephanie starts up again, “My thoughts exactly.” Her voice drops into a raspy whisper that isn’t really meant to go unheard, “I don’t know who the hell that is, but it is not Jason.”
“This is unprecedented,” Damian mumbles, dipping into his own chocolate cup.
“Do they always talk about you like you’re not here?” you ask Jason quietly.
“Yes,” he grumbles with a scornful look directed at the bowl.
A low hiss can be heard immediately after, “I’ve never heard him whisper before, what the fuck?”
You can’t hide your laugh as well as you mean to, but you know Jason’s light swat to your thigh is nothing more than a rib.
Mumbles continue along the other couch, mostly going unacknowledged, until Tim busts out, “He doesn’t even like strawberry!”
Jason snaps the pillow out of the way, “The fuck do you know about what I like?”
Tim resets his posture with one hell of an attitude, snarking, “Well I can name one thing you really seem to fucking—”
Jason grabs the pillow harshly and chucks it at Tims head which connects with a loud thwack.
Damian swats it away before it can knock him off balance, though his scowl is only half worth what Tim’s is.
“You’re unbelievable,” he says with a sneer. “This is why you don’t get invited to movie night anymore.”
Jason doubles back at him, “Sorry, is this not your own fucking house?”
Tim huffs, “Yes, which i—”
“Then get your own goddamn ice cream!”
Tim huffs as he stands, sending Jason a pointed look. “I’m going because I want to.”
Jason barely gives him a sardonic nod as he stomps off.
“Get me some too!” Dick calls back, only for the back of his head to be met with a sideways grimace from Tim.
As he leaves, the focus of the room seems to shift towards Damian dripping chocolate onto his cape and it fades away from there.
You turn to Jason, lowering your voice to just below a whisper, “If you don’t like strawberry—”
“I like it,” he tells you, leaving no room to argue as he takes a bite.

“I swear to God, he better be dead,” Stephanie mutters to herself.
She shuts her phone off and tosses it into the passenger seat with a huff. Her fingers drum against the steering wheel as she scans the sidewalk across from her car.
The night before the majority of the team had been involved in a less-than-successful plan, which some have called “a display of complete idiocy and inability to circumspect.”
Then Tim had to go and make a joke about that word choice in what was apparently a bad moment. This gave way to a harsher punishment of the team being forced to clean the batcave foot by square foot—notably, an impossible task.
So naturally, they had to retaliate.
The plan was to dismantle the batmobile piece by piece and leave it a collection of parts for Bruce to find. Problem being, the group as it stood didn’t possess the capability to do so without doing a great deal of damage to the parts. Damage, that the family was not willing to face extra retribution for.
Fortunately, they knew just the man for the job.
Unfortunately, said man has devoted his life to ignoring their messages, favoring to live peacefully and distantly from them. And because that peace and distance does come with an add-on of borderline complete secrecy from his family, no one had any idea where to look for him.
So, Stephanie decided to do the next most rational thing and track down your location. She’d hoped he would be with you like he always is, but for seemingly the first time in the last year—he’s nowhere to be found.
Now, was revenge for a minor-slight by Bruce so important that it required Stephanie to take all of these steps to get a hold of Jason? No, absolutely not. She’s pretty sure that the others have already given up on it by now and started cleaning. But it’s about the principal. And also, she does not want to clean the floors of a cave.
She jumps up in her seat when she spots you exiting a store, scurrying to unbuckle and pry the car door open.
She’s across the street in half a second, running directly into your line of sight. It actually would’ve been very difficult for her to miss your line of sight, considering she’d landed only a good six inches in front of your face. “Hey!”
“Oh, fuck—” you jump, grabbing your chest. You take a breath when you realize who it is, less surprised now by the theatrics of the introduction. “Hey Steph.”
“Hey,” she smiles casually, like she didn’t do what she just did. “So Jason’s been ignoring us and I need to get a hold of him,” she tells you.
You nod, still collecting yourself. “Oh. I don’t know where he is—”
She shakes her head, “That’s fine. Can I use your phone to call him?”
You frown, “Is something wrong?”
“With him, yeah,” she snarks. “I called him, Tim called him, Dick called him, Cass called him, Damian called him, we used Bruce’s phone to call him—that was a bit of a long shot, but still. This is our last option. Well, not our last option, if this doesn’t work I could get really invasive, but—” She shakes the thought from her head, “Nevermind.”
You nod blankly, taking in the mountain of information she’d just handed you. “How’d you know I was here?”
She scans your eyes back and forth for a second before her own widen in realization and she’s shaking her head. “No, no, don’t worry we’re not tracking you! I just hacked into the traffic cameras to find you.”
“Oh!” you exclaim, nodding some more. “Okay.”
You hand her your phone without any further questions—for your own sake—and she happily accepts.
“You know I texted him 115 times?” she tells you as she scrolls through your contacts.
You furrow your eyebrows, watching her click his name and press the phone to her ear. “Did you count?”
“Well, I had the time, di—you son of a bitch! One ring?” Stephanie scorns into the phone.
You can hear Jason groan on the other end of the line.
He says something to Stephanie that she follows up with a firm shake of her head.
“No,” she says defiantly. “She let me use it.”
Stephanie rolls her eyes, not pleased with his response. “What if it was an emergency?”
She listens for a second, skeptical look on her face.
She gasps suddenly, “I am not overstepping, we thought you were dead!”
Over the course of about ten seconds the shock on her face drops into just-been-caught guilt. “Well, I mean we considered it.”
You imagine Jason’s telling her to give you your phone back as she stands her ground, pushing, “If you promise to text me back.”
A short response on his end.
“Promise to text me back!”
There’s a brief lull before she’s giving a self-satisfied nod and jostling your phone back into your hands. “Here ya go. Thanks, babe!” She smiles wide at you before jogging back across the street, not waiting for the cars.
You smile as you watch her go, putting the phone up to your ear, “Hey Jay.”
You can hear the relief on the other end of the line. “Hey sweetheart. You know if you see Steph in public, you can just walk away?”
“I’m not going to walk away from your family.” You look again across the street, “Also I don’t think that was an option for me this time.”
“That thing is fucking scary.”
Cass smiles fondly, signing, “I think he’s cute.”
Tim eyes the way Salem traipses around his feet, yellow eyes staring up at him. “Why’s it even here?”
Jason rolls his eyes, continuing to scroll on his phone. “He’s hers. Deal with it.”
Tim scrunches up his mouth. “She knows I hate it. And she, unlike you, wouldn’t subject me to this just for the hell of it. So again I ask: why is it here?”
Jason huffs, looking up from his phone. “What do you want me to say? He wants to be.”
Tim scoffs at that, “‘It wants to be’? You’re the one who put it in the car.”
“No, I didn’t,” Jason says factually.
Tim looks at him sideways as Salem leaps onto Jason’s lap and nudges his hand up. Jason follows along as requested, petting the top of Salem’s head with an open palm.
Tim squirms to the other side of the couch with a look of disgust on his face. Salem watches him the whole time.
A smile adorns Cass’ face as she signs, “She says he can read people’s energy.”
Tim huffs, resting his head against his fist. “What does that even mean?”
The conversation is cut off by the clatter of you and Dick stumbling into the room, carrying a freshly painted headboard. Blue paint coats both of your hands and has no doubt stained your clothes.
You’re clearly struggling a bit to keep your grip on your end, the weight of the wooden frame dragging your arms down.
Jason stands and Salem flows along with his movements easily, leaping down onto the hardwood. He comes over and helps you lift your end of the frame with a stupid amount of ease, to the point that you’re not even holding any of the weight up anymore. The three of you—less so you—move the headboard and lean it up against the wall. After it's set down Jason steps back and looks over it gingerly.
“It looks good,” he murmurs to you, quiet enough to not give his brother the satisfaction of his approval.
Dick had asked you over to help him paint Damian’s bed frame as a surprise for him for not getting in any “altercations” at school this semester. You’d decided on coating it with his favorite color first and then fill it in with a collection of what Dick has “on good authority” are his favorite animals. It’s a fairly random assortment that you’re not sure adds to or disproves Dick’s credibility. You’d spent the better half of the afternoon googling animals you’d never heard of just to make sure you projected their likenesses accurately. Dick had been very clear that you had to be precise on the details because Damian would know if he was really looking at a komodo dragon painting or if it was “some common lizard.”
You sigh, “I hope he likes it. I’m worried we did it too childish for him.”
“He is a child,” Jason says plainly.
“But he is not childish,” you counter. And he sure isn’t. You’d had a hard enough time convincing Damian to watch cartoons, adding a colorful animal mural to his bedroom might be one step too far. You’re still trying to figure him out.
“He’ll like it,” he says firmly.
You smile, slipping around under his arm and tucking yourself into his side.
Not a moment later, Dick slings an arm around Jason's shoulder, grinning as he pulls his brother in close.
Jason’s immediately louring. "No, get away from me."
Dick, unfazed and still smiling, removes his arm and takes a big step to the right. You do the same, figuring he needs his space, but you get caught by the wrist before you can do more than sway to the side.
“Not you.”
He pulls you back under his arm, wrapping it around the front of your shoulders. You hook your fingers around his forearm, letting your hand hang.
You hear a double-clap from the other side of the room that has you both turning around to face Cass.
She signs something to Jason with a fond smile on her face.
You look back and forth between them as Jason waves her off. “What?”
He shakes his head, “It’s nothing. She said—she said we’re cute.”
You smile up at him and he deflects—not so subtly—and starts nudging you back towards where the group is gathered, now all standing.
Dick’s quick to start bragging off to the room about how great of a job the two of you did and how really complex and daunting it actually is painting animals for a child.
As he talks, your eyes find Jason, who’s definitely about to roll his eyes any second now. A bit subconsciously, your hand comes up to brush Jason’s white streak of hair back, away from tickling his forehead.
On the other side of Jason, Tim does the same, sweeping Jason’s hair back in a much more mocking manner.
This gives way to Jason smacking his hand away, harder than he needed to.
"Wha—You let her do it!" Tim protests, overplaying how much the slap hurt.
Jason scowls, "She can do whatever she wants."
Tim drops his shoulders, looking at Jason as if he’d been scandalized. “Oh but I can’t?”
“Not if it involves touching me,” Jason grumbles.
Tim steps closer, putting a finger to Jason’s chest. “You’re such a—”
From the floor, Salem hisses up at Tim, successfully startling the teenager. “Auahh—”
He stumbles backwards, grimacing at the cat.
“Fucking demon,” he hisses, walking away.
When Tim’s far enough away and Salem’s seemingly satisfied, he brushes up against your leg, purring.
You peer down at him with a furrowed brow.
“What’s Salem doing here?”
“I’m not doing this shit with you.”
“No, come on, 9 out of 10 times is what you said. How ‘bout just once? Beat me one time at anything, Jaybird.”
“Anything?” Jason asks like he knows damn well Dick can’t swear on that word.
Rightly so, Dick backtracks. “Something agreed upon.”
Jason throws his hands up, partially in exasperation, partially relenting.
Dick smoothly turns his back to him, announcing, “Opening up the room for ideas.”
Damian’s eye roll is almost audible from the corner armchair, where his attention is unmoved from intently sharpening a blade he’d recently come into possession of.
Bruce similarly remains unbothered in his seat, trying to read despite the distractions.
“Ooh, okay. Okay.” Stephanie wiggles up a little on the couch. “You could race!”
Dick shakes his head negatively, “I literally just busted my knee up two days ago, Steph.”
“Convenient,” Jason mumbles.
“You were there!” Dick exclaims with an open mouth.
Steph continues, “Um…”
Cass waves to the room from her position upside down on the couch, head hanging down next to Stephanie’s legs. Attention successfully acquired, she signs, “Staring contest.”
Jason grimaces, “That sounds like a nightmare.”
Dick gives him a faux-smile.
“You should play chicken,” Damian chimes in, holding up his knife.
“No,” Bruce drones monotonously as he flips a page.
“Tic tac toe?” Steph suggests.
Cass is already shaking her head as she scrunches up her mouth in thought.
Jason rolls his eyes, “What are we, five?”
Dick nods, cracking his knuckles as he thinks. “No, we need something that really proves our worth.”
Bruce looks up from his book, staring numbly through his brow, but remains silent.
“You could arm wrestle,” Steph suggests.
The elder brother twitches at that, “Uh, no.”
Cass moves past that before a joke has the chance to be made. “Handstand contest?” she suggests.
Jason shrugs, “Yeah, sure.”
The elder brother looks at him incredulously. “You’ll do a handstand contest with me?”
“That’s what I just said.”
Dick scoffs, “Jaybird, I’m an acrobat, you’re just some guy.”
Jason, not giving him the courtesy of eye contact, pulls his sweatshirt off from his back. “Well, you’re a lot of things, aren’t you?”
Dick throws his head back with a squint.
Jason fishes his phone out of his pocket and Dick follows suit, offended stare maintaining all the while.
No exchange is required as they both toss their phones across the room, landing together with a rough clatter on Damian’s lap. Damian’s resulting glare is borderline disgusted.
Dick starts them off, “Alright, go. One…two…”
Both men push up onto their hands, muscles flexing as they find their balance. Dick’s form is better, of course, but Jason looks to have a stronger foundation.
They both hold strong as several minutes go by with the brothers only maintaining the attention of some of the room, and the interest of none of it.
Stephanie huffs and tilts her head, thoroughly unentertained with the consistency they’re both managing.
“Starting to wish they’d picked something that moved along a little faster,” she murmurs to Cass.
Dick glances over at the younger brother, clearly displeased with his lack of trouble keeping up with him. He shuffles closer one hand at a time, using the decreased distance to poke at Jason with his foot, trying to knock him over.
Jason kicks him back harder, “Hey! Don’t be a dick—”
“Very funny,” Dick leers.
They both end up finding a struggle to keep balance and are forced to mind their own.
A chime rings out from the corner that has heads turning briefly in his direction before coming back to the competition.
“Whose was that?” Dick calls out.
Damian leans over and inspects the screens with disinterest. “Todd’s.”
Jason adjusts his position, “Who is it?”
Damian responds with your name.
“And?”
He picks up the phone shrugging like he couldn’t care less, “She wants to know if you want to go see some movie.”
There’s a brief silence before Jason drops out of the handstand, standing up.
Dick’s blood-flushed face peers up at him, bewildered. “Wait, what?”
The family watches with wide eyes as Jason picks his sweatshirt up off the floor and tugs it back on.
Stephanie gawks, bordering on laughing. “Are you serious?”
“Yeah,” he says simply.
Dick lets himself fall into a kneeling position with a huff, “You would rather go to some movie you don’t even know the name of than win a bet?”
Jason moues at him, “Uh, yeah.”
He tosses a twenty at Dick, and plucks his phone from Damian’s hand as he strolls past him, typing out a reply.
Cass sits up a bit and signs up to Stephanie, “Does he even like movies?”
Bruce, now attention now fully removed from his book, watches Jason exit with the slightest hint of a smile. Dick sits dumbly on the floor, staring after him with an open-mouth.
Damian twists the knife in his hands around contemplatively before rising to stand.
“I will go,” he announces, dropping his blade onto the seat of the chair. Jason grumbles a no but Damian follows after him just the same.

fluff, just fluff, they're so in love and soft its sickeninggg
Having the Number One pro hero as your boyfriend is not easy.
Especially when you're a pro hero yourself.
And especially when your relationship is supposed to be a secret.
And even more especially when your boyfriend needs to be around you every second of every day like his life depends on it.
Izuku's a sweet man, he always has been and always will be. But sweet isn't even close to the word someone could use to describe how he treated you. In fact, even infatuated wouldn't be sufficient.
But Izuku's love has a price. He knows you can damn well defend yourself (trust me, he probably knows best after you almost stabbed him by accident when he came home in the middle of the night with no warning)—but still, he worries.
Which is why, much to his chagrin more than your own, you kept your relationship hidden from the public.
But like I said, Izuku's love for you is a force stronger than One for All itself.
So you can imagine this 'secret relationship' thing didn't really work out..
It was after a mission, a big operation in the city - the heroes had won but barely.
You were all exhausted.
And your boyfriend Pro Hero Deku more than most.
You were talking with a reporter, trying to reassure the civilians that everything was now resolved, when Izuku stumbles over and just starts peppering your face with kisses tiredly, the battle taking so much out of him that he forgets where he is.
he just wants his baby :(
All you can really do is stand there and take it, face bright red as a stunned cameraman and civilians start snapping photos and taking videos of the affectionate pro hero.
...Good thing you can defend yourself.
A/N: Deku's not one of my favs heh but he's such a sweetheart we need more loverboys in the world 😔
Can you do jjk men w a reader who doesn’t drink enough water?

#comments and reblogs are appreciated
hiii :3 i had a request on something angsty if you do that 😭 im super into mouthwashing too and love daisuke :333
enough yapping, but if you could do a thingy when it's between the 'hours of judgement' and everyone is dying... ermm, the reader dies a little before daisuke, do whatever you want for the death.
If not, then something fluff and just general dating hcs for daisuke 🥲🥲
HOPE YOU HAVE A GOOD DAY OR NIGHTT !!!! 😘
p.s you can ignore this if it's too much ^^
Nine hours before judgement.
Jimmy's not right.
4 months have passed since the crash, and nobody's gotten happier. Hell, everyone's drunk most of the time. It's hard to feel optimistic when you're shitfaced and hungry. And Jimmy's only been getting more... unlike himself.
Daisuke feels things are a little better with you by his side, at least. It's embarrassing to say it out loud, so he doesn't. He, instead, shows it through other means.
"Other means," as in moving his makeshift bed next to yours. "Other means" as in sharing his meager food rations and extra sugar packets with you. "Other means" as in refusing to leave your side.
But Jimmy's still been getting worse. To the point where he's been blowing up at every crew member once or twice a day, yelling in their faces and looking like he's about to blow a fuse. Anya's got yelled at twice this week, Swansea once, and Jimmy outright refuses to acknowledge Daisuke and his mess-ups at this point.
It's grating to watch. But Daisuke can't do much against the now-captain of this ship.
At the moment, you two are sitting on your now makeshift beds, sharing a bottle of mouthwash. You’re in the process of getting drunk again, and Daisuke is definitely tipsy at this point. He has a bit of a laughable tolerance considering how much the crew has been drinking recently. He’s currently slumped against the wall, brown eyes hazy with a warm smile stretched across his lips.
“Y’know… the ship’s always been so cold. I need someone to warm me uuuuup.” He nudges you, and you can’t help but laugh. “Stop that. Your pickup lines don’t work just because you’re drunk.” He huffs, leaning his head against your shoulder.
“You’re no fun.”
“I’ll be more fun if you don’t drink all the mouthwash in one go. Lemme have some.” Daisuke hands you the mouthwash, lacing his other hand with yours and brushing his thumb over your knuckles absentmindedly, sending a shiver up your spine. He notices your reaction and smiles slightly.
“Sensitive.”
“Be quiet.”
He laughs airily, watching you as you drink, hazel eyes fixed on how the orange from the fake, cracked sky lights you up so prettily. He’s so fixated on the sight of it that he doesn’t even realize he’s said it out loud. You turn to him, a little embarrassed from the intense adoration in his eyes. “...you think I’m pretty?”
Daisuke blinks, then smiles. He’s drunk. He has to be. “...I do. You’re really pretty.” And thorough he stumbles on the word pretty, you can feel the weight to them. It makes you swallow hard, breaking eye contact.
“...you’re drunk.”
“So are you.”
You huff slightly, eyes fixed on the bottle in front of you, only a few drops left now. You mumble, a soft smile on your lips. “...You’re very sweet when you’re drunk.” Daisuke grins, squeezing your hand.
“Must've been the sugar packets.”
Daisuke doesn't know how you haven't figured out he really likes you yet. Every time he gets tipsy from the mouthwash, he says something stupid that gives him away. And every time, you never say a thing about it.
But he's just happy to have you as a friend. At least, he thinks he's happy about it. But whatever. He's too tipsy to ponder it right now. He just wants to keep his head on your shoulder and your hand in his for now.
Eight hours before judgement.
Daisuke has now pulled you over to the couch and the board game table, having convinced you to finally finish the game the crew started before the crash. He’s playing both his and Anya’s pieces, and you’re playing Curly’s and your pieces. Through your drunken haze, you get a vague sense he’s letting you win. But you swallow down the rush of happiness it gives you and instead focus on beating his ass.
As you play, you share your wired headphones with Daisuke, which are connected to an old MP3 player with hundreds of songs downloaded on it. They’re your only surviving possessions from the crash. You hum along to one of the songs as you capture one of his pieces, smiling triumphantly as you turn to face him.
“Ha! You suck at this, Daisuke.”
“I do not!” He retorts back petulantly, crossing his arms and barely managing to hide his smile. Both of you are drunk by now, too giggly to notice how close you two are like this. He takes his turn, accidentally knocking over a piece with his clumsy hands. He scowls slightly, fixing his mistake.
He doesn't seem to notice how you stare fondly at the little crease between his brows as he fumbles with the little pieces.
You’re so distracted that you don’t hear Jimmy approach behind you. So distracted that you only become aware of his presence when he yanks the headphones out of both of your ears, causing the two of you to flinch at the slight flash of pain at the sensation.
You twist in your seat to look at Jimmy, reflexes slow with the mouthwash. He looks pissed as he roughly stuffs the headphones and the MP3 in his pocket. You immediately protest.
“Jimmy-? What the hell are you doing with my headphones?”
“You two were hired for a reason, weren’t you?”
You and Daisuke share a bewildered look, thought processes slowed with the alcohol. Daisuke mumbles, eyes narrowing. “...huh?”
Jimmy’s face twists, running a hand through his already disheveled hair. “You two have jobs. Internships. Whatever. But you have actual things to do around here, yeah? Instead of sitting around on your asses all fucking day?” His voice is biting, edged with barely-hidden rage. Yuo stand up a little unsteadily.
“We’re taking a break. What else do you want us to do?”
“Fucking try to get us off this ship. I feel like I’m the only one here who’s trying to fix things and get shit done! You two have done jackshit for this entire operation.” Jimmy’s getting louder, hands twitching at his sides.
“Jimmy, we can’t do anything but survive at this point. We can’t clear the foam without risking dying, we already opened the cargo hold, we’re already rationing to hell and back– there’s nothing we can fucking do at this point. So stop berating us like we’re kids and give me back my headphones.” The alcohol has made you way more unafraid to talk back to Jimmy, slightly slurring your way through it. Daisuke glances at you, a little surprised at your words. Makes him smile a little bit.
Jimmy just stares at you a moment longer, face unreadable. He turns around and stalks off, leaving you and Daisuke in silence. You splutter, stumbling around the couch and after Jimmy. “What the-? You can’t just- give me back my headphones!”
“Wait! Hold on.”
Daisuke calls out after you, still on the couch. He’s still a little hazy from the alcohol, but Jimmy’s whole deal sobered him up somewhat. “You sure it’s worth it? He's just gonna yell at you like crazy.”
You huff slightly, eyes still fixed on the hallway Jimmy disappeared in. “I need those headphones. They’re the only things I have on this stupid ship.”
And before Daisuke can try to change your mind, you’re off chasing Jimmy down the hall. His protest dies on his lips, a strange feeling in the back of his mind. Something feels off about this. He sighs softly, slowly turning back to the game board. He absentmindedly knocks over one of your pieces.
Meanwhile, you’re stumbling down the hall, fueled by drunken pettiness and a need to get your damn headphones back. You finally catch sight of Jimmy turning a corner into a room, grumbling about something nonsensical. You quickly step into the room before the door slides closed behind the two of you.
The room was heavily wrecked from the crash, it looks like. It used to hold spare parts for the ship, all of which were thrown around and mangled in the crash. The wall paneling is all jagged, support beams sticking out at strange angles. Metal debris litters the ground. In the middle of it all, Jimmy stands there, hands shoved in his pockets, breathing heavily.
You speak, voice cold. “Give them back.”
Jimmy jolts, torn from his thoughts. He scowls, answering simply. “No.”
You’re left in silence for a long moment, stuck staring right in his eyes. Anger bubbles up in your chest. You can’t help the bitter scoff that leaves your lips, hissing through gritted teeth. “What the hell is your problem with me?”
“I don’t have a problem with you. You’ve simply stopped doing things on this ship. You’re lazy. You’re just waiting to rot away and die here-”
“There’s nothing we can do! We’re fucked, Jimmy!” You step forward, the anger of speaking to him burning the back of your throat now.
“There's always something you can do! You’re the useless one on this goddamn team. So fucking pathetic.” The way he chews on his words, the way he’s been so volatile this past week, the way he’s got the one thing you own in his possession– your next biting remark is a manifestation of drunken thoughts and reckless frustration.
“Fuck you. I know what you did to Anya.”
And you swear you see Jimmy’s eyes change.
Seven hours until judgement.
Daisuke hasn’t seen you since you disappeared down that hall to go talk to Jimmy. That strange feeling in his chest hasn’t gone away. In fact, it’s only gotten worse. The alcohol has worn off by this point, leaving him with a slight headache and an itch for water the ship doesn’t have. He sighs, head lolling back to lean against the couch.
After a long, long moment, he decides to go bug Anya to get his mind off you. He slips off the couch, walking over to the medical room and humming one of the songs he was listening to with you earlier.
But when he tries to open the door, it’s locked. He tries again, only for it to stay, unbudging. He calls out.
“Yo, Anya? You okay in there? Did you get stuck or something?”
There’s no response from inside. This doesn’t help his weird anxiety in the slightest. He tries at the door again, to no avail.
“Anya! Are you okay?”
No answer. He backs away slowly, before taking off jogging down the hall.
“I’m gonna get help, okay? I’ll be back!”
And as he rounds one corner, then another, he crashes straight into the guy he was looking for– Jimmy, who looks… odd. More disheveled. A strange red mark on his jaw. Breathing hard for no reason. And even though you were the last one with Jimmy… there's no sight of you around.
Daisuke stumbles back from the impact, taking in his appearance. Something twinges in his chest. Something isn’t right. Something isn’t right. “Jimmy! Hey, uh, there’s a problem at the medbay right now, but, uh, where'd… where’d they go?”
Jimmy’s eyes flash with something indiscernible before he masks it with a scowl, walking past Daisuke. He grumbles.
“I don’t know.”
Daisuke watches him go, standing there for a moment, eyes fixed on Jimmy’s back. He may be stupid sometimes, but he's not dumb. He turns the opposite direction, going where Jimmy came from. He needs to find you.
Seven and a half hours until judgement.
You see the way your words hit Jimmy, and with your alcohol muddled mind, you take it and run, voice rising. “I’m about two seconds away from going out there and telling them what a monster you are.”
Jimmy only seems to get more panicked, stepping forward, his voice quieting and getting more intense.
“No, you won’t. You’re not gonna tell them. Nobody would believe you.”
You sneer, stopping forward to match him. “They would. You aren’t some angel they have blind faith in. Swansea might even try to kill you.”
Jimmy’s face darkens, and you feel a twinge of fear in your gut at the look in his eyes. You get this gut feeling to run. But you don’t, even as he grabs your wrists in a vice-like grip, preventing you from stepping towards the door. He hisses, getting uncomfortably close to your face.
“Shut up. Shut up. They aren’t going to. Because you’re not going to tell anyone. Not a single fucking word.”
You feel that fear roar to life with his jerky, desperate movements. You try to pull away, fighting the longer he holds on, that drunken fire slowly leaving your eyes. “Let go of me. I just want my headphones.”
“No– stop struggling– say you aren’t going to tell anyone.” His face twists in anger as his grip tightens on your wrists. Panic fills your eyes. He’s not right. In a desperate move, you somehow manage to shove him off you, sending him back into a wall– hard. You stand there, watching as he straightens up, his eyes almost demented.
You feel a chill go through your body. You back away towards the door, hand gripping the handle.
“I’m telling them.”
You whip around, about to take off running when he grabs your arm and rips you backward, yelling as he shoves back into the room and shutting the door with a slam. “No!”
You shriek, adrenaline taking over as you whip around and punch him hard in the jaw, trying to get away. But he gets your elbow again and pulls you back with a strained grunt, throwing you to a jagged wall. You feel the ripped up metal scratch at your skin through your clothes, bruising you slightly. He’s just about to grab your wrists again when you knee him right in the crotch, sending him reeling.
You stumble past him, breathing hard. You should have left earlier. Fear rockets through your veins, sobering you up more than anything else ever could have. You trip on metal debris littering the floor, quickly scrambling to your feet as best as you can.
Jimmy is desperate. No one needs to know what he did, he can’t let them know, he can’t let you tell anyone, you can’t tell anyone, you can’t, you can’t–
He sees a jagged metal pole sticking out of the wall, the end sharp and lethal if touched. He doesn’t think. He can’t think. He only does.
So he stops you right as you reach the door and he shoves you right into the rebar. There’s a sickening squish and a strangled gasp.
There's a long, long moment of silence, the only sound being your strained breathing. The world seems to go still.
Your hand slowly, shakily comes up to your stomach, feeling the now-bloodied end of the metal pole sticking right out of your stomach.
Impaled.
Jimmy stumbles back as you choke on blood that rises up in your throat, leaking out of the corner of your mouth. You can only watch wordlessly, as he just leaves you in the dark, shutting the door behind him.
Six hours and fifty minutes until judgement.
Daisuke has checked every single room you could’ve been in. All the other rooms are foamed up or unusable, no reason for you to be in there. He paces the halls, his chest tightening with each lap around the ship. He should’ve found you by now.
He goes past Swansea guarding the foamed up utility room, snoring loudly in his chair. He doesn’t even pay any mind to the Polle posters decorating the walls.
He reaches the same dead end with no sign of you, and he curses under his breath. Why hasn’t he found you yet? You have to be here. You have to–
He hears the sound of a weak, barely-there call for help. Muffled by a door or a wall or something. His heart picks up. He checks door by door, even the foamed up rooms to find you. And on the fourth door, he enters a dark room.
He can hear the sound of something dripping and the faint, pained breathing of someone. The light from the doorway lights up the edge of a puddle of dark red, thick and viscous.
The lights flicker on. His heart drops.
You’re barely standing, legs having gone numb, only held up by the rusty, blood-soaked metal pole going through your stomach. Your clothes are soaked red from the waist down, gathering in a puddle beneath you. You breathe weakly, eyes wide and teary as they meet his.
Is this hell? Is he imagining this? This can’t be real. You can’t be… this can’t…
His body finally reacts, stumbling forward, legs like lead. He doesn’t know what to do, how to help– he’s shaking, hands hovering over you, unsure of how to help you in this condition. He doesn’t even realize he’s rambling, panicked.
“No, no, nononono– shitshitshit what- what happened? Oh– oh my god, there’s so much blood, I don’t– I’m not– ”
You cough up more blood into your cold hand, the sound wet and painful. Your whole body lurches forward with the effort, trembling hard as pain radiates like molten lava from your wound. Daisuke sees you weaken once the coughing stops, quickly holding your face in his hands and hurriedly whispering to you.
“Nononono– don’t– don’t close your eyes, o-okay? I- I’m gonna fix th- fix this. You’re gonna be okay.”
He can’t tell if he’s saying it more to himself or you. You slump forward, your head resting on his shoulder. Everything’s so cold. Black edges at your vision, but you fight through it to speak weakly in his ear.
“...y’ found me.”
Daisuke nods, trying to keep his breathing steady so he can figure out a way to fix this. He smiles half-heartedly, setting his hands on your shoulders, hands warm against your cold skin.
“Y- Yeah. I did. I always do.”
And through the pain that lights up your body with every breath in, every twitch, through the numbness that swallows your legs and hands, through the chill of blood loss– you smile softly into his shoulder, eyes fluttering shut. He’s always been the one to keep you calm.
He’s always been the one for you. The one who you would’ve gone crazy without on this ship. The one who’s made you smile since the day you met him, the one who’s shared his secrets and sugar packets unabashedly with you. You feel your heart warm.
You mumble quietly, a hazy confession you knew you should’ve made a long, long time ago. You know you don’t have much time for this, anyway.
“...’m in love with you.”
And at that small, weak confession from you, Daisuke tears up. Because for the person he’s grown so close to, the person he’s loved, to be reduced to this? He wanted to confess a week or two from now. Not like this. Never like this. He sniffles, pressing his face to your shoulder as he wraps his arms gently, ever so gently around you.
“Don’t- don’t say it like that,” he manages to get out, voice choked and broken, “Don’t say it like- like it’s goodbye– you’re gonna be okay, I swear–”
The feeling in your body is receding fast. Your eyes flutter shut, breath coming in shallow little inhales, the pain fading to a cold ache in the pit of your chest. You whisper, words uncoordinated with the blood loss.
“L-Live. Please. Get off this sh-ship. ‘n don’t- don’t trust Jimmy.”
Daisuke can’t help but let out a choked sob at the sound of those words, hugging you tighter. He doesn’t want you to go. He can’t. He can’t do this without you. And as childish as he sounds, he speaks quietly into your shoulder.
“I don’t want you to go.”
Somehow, you manage to come up with the strength to run a hand through his hair, the feeling dulled by the numbness. You can feel static start to take over your vision, your hearing, all your senses. Your time is up. Quietly, you whisper, focusing on the lingering warmth he’s always brought you.
“...’m sorry.”
And with a strained exhale and a slight shudder–
You go limp.
Six hours until judgement.
Daisuke doesn’t know how long he spent in that room crying. How much time he spent cleaning the blood from your features, trying to warm your hands, brushing your hair back from your face.
In his head, he justifies it by saying he wanted to make sure that whoever finds this ship will see you for who you were. Not just an impaled corpse.
He really just wanted to feel you one last time.
But when he stumbles back into the lounge, he’s met with Jimmy brewing a mocktail, pouring in something he can’t see. Jimmy sees the blood on Daisuke’s shirt, his red eyes.
He pays it no mind, voice gruff. No remorse.
“Daisuke. I need your help with the utility room. You’re gonna help me get Anya out.”

Your life was supposed to be perfect right now. You just gave birth to your beautiful baby—a moment that should have been magical, joyous, and filled with happy tears.
Instead, you were losing your mind.
Because the baby in your arms… did not have black hair. Not even a single dark strand.
No.
Because the baby—the tiny, fresh-out-the-womb infant that you had just spent hours screaming into existence—was blonde.
Blonde.
BLONDE.
And he looked exactly like Jason.
Now, for most normal people, this wouldn’t be an issue. In fact, it would be a cute, happy moment—"Oh wow, he looks just like his dad!"—but you? No. You were spiraling. Because Jason had black hair. Jet black. Dark as the night. Dark as his soul (romantically speaking).
And your baby?
Your baby had a tuft of blonde hair that made him look like a tiny cherub sent straight from heaven.
Which made no damn sense.
You hadn’t cheated. Hell, you barely even looked at other men since getting together with Jason because—let’s be honest—your man was already borderline psychotic when it came to his jealousy.
So, if you had cheated (which, again, you HADN’T), you would already be dead. There would be no hospital room. No baby. Just a Jason-shaped shadow standing over your shallow grave.
But that didn’t change the fact that you were staring at your son, this tiny, beautiful baby with blonde hair.
Which would be fine. If Jason had fucking blonde hair.
But he didn’t. He had black hair.
You were a hundred percent sure of that. You had run your fingers through that thick, inky hair so many times. You had tugged it when he pissed you off. You had yanked it when—
That didn’t matter right now.
Because either you had just given birth to the wrong child, or—OR—
“Oh my God,” you choked, your voice cracking as you looked at the baby in your arms with sheer, bone-deep horror. “Jason’s going to think I cheated on him.”
The room went silent.
A nurse looked at you with wide eyes, hesitating mid-step. Alfred, ever the picture of composure, cleared his throat, carefully folding a tiny onesie. And Dick—because of course Dick was here—froze mid-bite of his celebratory snack, a hospital pudding cup, before slowly turning to you.
“Uh… what?”
“I didn’t cheat on him,” you gasped, convulsing in hormonal sobs as you clutched the tiny baby closer to your chest. “I didn’t! I swear I didn’t!”
“I mean, obviously,” Tim mumbled, looking more alarmed at your emotional breakdown than at the situation itself.
But you weren’t listening. You were spiraling, your voice getting more frantic.
“Oh my God. What if they gave me the wrong baby?” you whispered, eyes darting wildly around the hospital room. “What if some poor woman out there has my real baby? And I have hers?”
“Miss, please,” Alfred sighed, rubbing the bridge of his nose.
Damian, perched in the corner of the room with his arms crossed, made a disgusted sound. “That’s your child, idiot. It looks just like Todd.”
“NO, HE DOESN’T!” you wailed. “JASON HAS BLACK HAIR!”
Damian just scoffed. “You’re being ridiculous.”
“I—WHAT?!” you shrieked.
Dick sighed dramatically, putting his hands on his hips. “I can’t believe we have to do this right now. Jason’s gonna lose his mind.”
That set you off even worse. Jason’s gonna lose his mind?! Oh God, oh God, he was going to think you cheated. He was going to leave. He was going to storm in here, take one look at the baby, and—
You sobbed harder. Ugly cried harder.
Bruce actually looked like he was reconsidering every decision that led him to this moment.
“Uh, wow,” Tim muttered.
“I didn’t cheat,” you repeated, voice breaking. “I mean—how would I even have the time?! Jason’s always around! He’d kill anyone who looked at me for too long! It doesn’t make sense!”
“Why are you trying to convince us?” Damian scoffed. “Shouldn’t you be telling Todd?”
Your stomach dropped.
Jason.
Jason wasn’t here.
Oh, God. Oh, fuck.
“I—I love him so much,” you sobbed, clutching your little (wrong?!) baby. “I—oh my God—what if he leaves me?! What if he thinks I—Oh God, he’s gonna think I cheated, and I didn’t, I swear—”
“Jason’s going to break the door down when he gets here,” Tim muttered, rubbing his temples.
“No, he won’t,” Bruce grumbled.
CRASH.
Jason absolutely broke the door down.
It slammed against the wall so hard that even your baby, who had been peacefully asleep through your meltdown, flinched.
"Fucking Gotham traffic, I swear to—"
He froze.
You were crying.
Sobbing.
Hysterical.
His brain ran a million miles per hour. Did something happen? Did you change your mind about the name? Did one of the nurses insult you? Did he leave the oven on? Did someone die?
His eyes darted to the baby in your arms.
Tiny. Swaddled. Breathing.
Okay. Not dead.
So why the fuck were you crying like this was a damn crime scene?
"Uh," Jason started. "Baby? What’s wrong?"
You let out another broken sob, clutching the baby to your chest.
Jason panicked.
You started crying so hard you couldn’t even get words out. Just absolute, gut-wrenching sobs while Jason rushed to your bedside, grabbing your face.
“Baby, baby, what’s wrong?!” he panicked, his voice an octave higher. “Did they hurt you?! Are you in pain?! Do I have to kill someone?! Is it Bruce?! I bet it’s Bruce.”
Bruce exhaled through his nose, deeply unimpressed.
It's just made you cry harder.
"Oh, God—what happened?! Are you okay?! Is the baby okay—"
"Jason, I SWEAR I didn’t cheat on you!" you blurted out.
Jason blinked.
Everyone collectively flinched.
"…What?" Jason said, voice flat.
"I didn’t cheat! I would never cheat! I love you, and you were my first, and I would never, I would never, I—"
"Baby," Jason said slowly, trying to wrap his head around this absolute fever dream. "What the fuck are you talking about?"
You let out another shaky breath, eyes darting around the room in pure panic. "T-the baby, Jason. Look at him."
Jason frowned, stepping closer. He looked at the baby. Looked at you. Looked at the baby again.
"…Yeah?" he said, confused.
"He has blonde hair!"
Jason blinked.
Then blinked again.
Then turned to the rest of the family like they had the answers.
Dick rubbed his temples. "Jay."
Jason turned back to you, lips parting like he was about to say something, then stopping. Then opening again. Then stopping.
“I swear I didn’t!” Your sobs renewed, your shoulders shaking as you held up the tiny, peacefully sleeping baby. “But look at him! He has blonde hair! He looks exactly like you! But you have black hair! I think I got the wrong baby, or I cheated on you in my sleep, or maybe you’re going to leave me—”
Jason stared.
Then he turned, slowly, toward the rest of the room. “…Did you guys let her spiral like this on purpose?”
“Yes,” Damian said, unbothered.
“Absolutely,” Dick grinned.
Jason inhaled deeply.
Then, to your absolute shock, he let out a long, tired sigh—before shoving a hand through his hair and grumbling, “I fucking forgot you didn’t know.”
You hiccupped again. “Wh—what?”
Jason gave you a flat look. “Babe. My hair. I’ve been dyeing it black since I was a kid.”
Your breath caught. “Huh?”
“Because of him,” Jason added, jerking his thumb toward Dick, who just wiggled his fingers in a smug little wave.
Silence.
More silence.
The world stopped.
The Earth stopped spinning.
Your breath hitched. "You…"
Jason nodded.
"You… had blonde hair?"
Jason nodded again.
You sniffled. Sniffled again. Processed this information.
Then immediately let out a loud, gut-wrenching, ugly sob and buried your face in your hands.
Jason Todd. Your husband. Your big, scary, six-foot-four, muscle-bound, leather-wearing husband. The man who used to be the meanest street kid in Crime Alley. The man who could disassemble a gun with his eyes closed and had murdered actual people.
Had spent his entire life dyeing his hair because he wanted to look like Dick Grayson.
“Oh my God,” you whispered, eyes wide.
Jason groaned, rubbing his face. “Babe—”
“Oh my God.”
“Listen, it’s not—”
“You mean to tell me I’ve been married to you this whole time thinking you had black hair, but you’re actually some kind of undercover blonde?!”
“Strawberry blonde,” Tim corrected.
Jason shot him a glare. “Shut up.”
You gasped, gripping his jacket like you might collapse. “You mean to tell me this baby is actually yours?”
Jason exhaled. Then he stepped forward, resting a warm, solid hand against your cheek before pressing a soft, lingering kiss to your forehead.
“Yes, babe,” he muttered, lips brushing your skin. “He’s mine.”
"Oh my God," you wailed. "I’m so stupid."
"Whoa, whoa, whoa—" Jason sat on the bed, grabbing you. "You’re not stupid. You just had a baby. And hormones. And clearly, no one ever showed you my baby pictures."
"This whole time," you hiccupped, voice muffled, "I thought they swapped our baby, and I stole some random kid. I thought you were gonna leave me!"
Jason sighed, rubbing your back. "Sweetheart, I would never leave you. Especially not over our perfectly fine, baby."
Damian scoffed. "Tt. As if anyone else would willingly have a child with Todd."
Jason shot him a glare. "Not the time, demon."
Dick sighed, stepping forward and ruffling Jason’s hair. "Guess we should’ve mentioned that whole blonde thing earlier, huh?"
Jason glared. "You think?"
Stephanie shook her head. "I thought everyone knew. It's, like, a family fun fact at this point."
"I DIDN’T KNOW!" you shouted.
Jason pulled you into his arms, still rubbing soothing circles into your back. "It’s okay, babe. It’s okay. I promise."
You sniffled, eyes red and puffy. "So… he’s really yours?"
Jason pressed a kiss to your forehead. "He’s really mine."
You let out a weak whimper. "I wanna see your baby pictures."
Jason chuckled. "Alright, sweetheart. When we get home, I’ll show you all of them."
Tim crossed his arms. "I have them saved on my phone."
Jason turned his head. "Why the fuck do you have baby pictures of me on your phone?"
Tim shrugged. "For emergencies."
Jason squinted. "…What kind of emergencies?"
Tim smirked. "Like this one."
Jason pulled back, finally looking down at the baby in your arms.
And—oh.
The storm in his eyes vanished.
Replaced by something warm. Something deep. Something soft.
The big, scary Red Hood, suddenly looked—small.
Awe-struck.
Because there, curled in your arms, was a tiny, sleeping baby with blonde hair and soft little features that looked just like his.
Jason swallowed.
Then, hesitantly, he reached out, brushing his fingers over the baby’s little fist.
“…Holy shit,” he murmured.
Dick grinned. “You made a clone.”
Jason turned to you, eyes softening.
Then he kissed you—long, deep, and full of love.
“I love you,” he muttered, lips still against yours.

Mark was supposed to have a romantic skating date with you. But thanks to Debbie, he now has an unexpected plus one, his very nosy little brother (˶˃ ᵕ ˂˶)
Mark had been looking forward to this date for days, just him and you finally. A nice, normal perfect night out where he can give you all his attention instead of you know, saving the world.
Just the two of you, holding hands, maybe even sneaking a few kisses in if he was lucky.
So when he walked into the living room all freshly showered, decently dressed for once and ready to head out.
Of course, Debbie had other plans.
“You're taking Oliver,” Debbie said, completely ignoring the way Mark choked on his own spit. “What!?” Nearly dropping his skates. “Mom, no. No way it's a date!”
“And Oliver's a child who wants to get out the house” She said while ruffling Oliver’s hair. “You'll be responsible. Right Mark?”
Mark’s mouth opened and closed like a fish. Turning around expecting Oliver to protest but nope! The kid was already smiling, shoes on and ready to go.
“But–”
Before another word, Debbie gave him that Mom look.
Mark groaned, pressing his fingers into his eyes before throwing his hands in defeat. “Fine”
It only got worse from there.
When Mark pulled up, you were expecting a cute night out with him. Instead, the first thing you noticed when you slid into the passenger seat was.. “Oliver?”
You looked between the two of them, the way Oliver was happily kicking his feet in the backseat while Mark looked like he wanted to crash into oncoming traffic.
“Oh my god” You beamed. “Your mom made you bring him. Didn't she?”
Mark scowled. “Don't ask.”
But it was too late, you were already giggling.
This was going to be fun.
At first it was just a few minor interruptions, every time Mark tried to subtly hold your hand. Oliver skated right between you two. Mark tries to whisper something cute? Oliver slurps his milkshake obnoxiously loud.
Mark dares to make flirty eye contact? “Why are you staring at her like that?
Mark was losing it, and you? You were loving it. Barely holding it together, biting your lips to keep yourself from laughing as Mark sat there, completely dead inside.
And then?
“Oh!” Oliver's eyes widened. “You're the girl Mark won't shut up about?” Mark choked.
“Oliver!”
“What?” Oliver blinked innocently. “You talk about her all the time”
Your smirk grew, turning to face Mark, resting your chin on your palm. “All the time?”
Mark, red faced and flustered, grabbed a fry and shoved it into Oliver’s mouth.
“Eat.”
“He's adorable” You giggled watching him munch on the fries.
After an hour of skating, Oliver finally gets distracted by the snake bar. Seizing the opportunity, Mark grabbed your hand and pulled you to the edge of the rink, away from the chaos.
“Finally” He muttered, pressing quick kisses to your knuckles.
You smiled. “Desperate, are we?”
Mark exhaled, leaning his forehead against yours. “You have no idea” Your breath hitched , caught up in the warmth of his body and the cool air of the rink. The distant hum of music surrounded you, the twinkling lights above casting a soft shadow over Mark’s face.
He looked at you, like you were the only person in the world. He was just about to lean when–
Thud.
A tray of nachos and cheese hit the ground.
“Aw, come on!” You and Mark turned your heads at the same time. Oliver stood there, arms crossed, and a big frown on his face.
Pointing an accusatory finger at mark.
“I leave for 2 minutes and you guys are already being gross?”
Mark groaned, dragging a hand down his face. “Oliver”
“What?” he huffed, walking up and standing between you two. “Mom said to make sure you weren't doing anything weird”
You blushed, laughter bubbling up before you could stop it. Mark, however, looked like he wanted to pass out from the secondhand embarrassment. “Dude, you're, like, the worst chaperone ever.”
Mark looked at you helplessly, but you smiled. Grabbing his hand and giving it a reassuring squeeze,
“Guess you'll have to be sneakier next time” you teased, bumping his shoulder playfully.
Mark lets out a long, dramatic sigh. “Next time, I'm leaving him at home."
Controversial younger s/o things
Slight mentions of like one nsfw thing, especially for Stanley, it’s not much but still I thought I should say.
Ford worries that he’s far too old for you, but yet is unable to keep his distance from you when you spent every waking moment at the shack with Soos, Wendy, Dipper and Mabel.
He feels like a perv whenever he lets his gaze linger a little too long on you for it to be platonic, yet he could never bring himself to look away as you had him bewitched mind, body and soul for all he knew and he didn’t mind it, even if it did mean he lost sleep dreaming about you being his youthful spouse who often stole his turtlenecks just to get his attention.
He thinks you could be better off with someone your own age, and yet despite believing this, Ford can’t help but harbour this mentality that he could treat you far, far better then anyone your own age. He’d worship the ground you walk on, treat you with respect, dignity and trust.
You’d probably be brought down to the lab quite often per his request. Ford claims he needs your opinion on something but the moment your down there, you’re making out with your back pressed against his workbench as his hands remained above your waist; maybe teasingly trailing to your thighs but still he’s a respective gentleman towards you forever and always.
There the moments you gladly wait all day for moments like these as you got to feel just how badly Ford wanted you in more ways then one ;)
You make out in his bed too but that’s only if you couldn’t make it to the lab, so Ford makes sure to lock the door when you do, for privacy and such.
There’s multiple entries about you and Ford’s conflicted feelings towards you followed with sketches of you looking the most beautiful he’s ever seen you. Seeing you be great and supportive with dipper and Mabel defiantly awakens something in him that he later puts down in the journal.
Will loose it if he ever saw you in his turtleneck, he’s not gods strongest soldier in their regards as he’s more then happy to get on his knees for you right then and there. You in his turtleneck is his secrete fantasy and to see it become reality is enough for this man to believe that there is a heaven.
Stanley feels that you deserve better then him
the girdle stays off! You don’t give a fuck, the girdle stays off and you will fucking hide it from him, much to his dismay but you love his tummy so, so so much!
Heated make outs in el Diablo while on road trips just the two of you at night.
Spoils you rotten however he could in meaningful ways, kinda feels sad that he can’t do more for you like you deserved but you didn’t care as you pepper his face with kisses and reassurance that he’s more then enough for you.
Probs gets jealous of you talking to other older men that has deeper pockets, but is smug as fuck the moment you came back to him with wads of their money in your hands as he pulls you in close by the waist and kisses you firmly on the lips saying, ‘that’s my girl/boy/ spouse.’
You will get love bites from him for making him jealous but also for making him so proud of his gorgeous/handsome/ beautiful spouse. You wear them with pride as you know no one else can elicit the same feeling as Stan did and he’d show off his own love bites with pride as he’s shameless and wants to show that he’s more then taken.
Does get moments of insecurity about your age gap but with a few words of reassurances, kisses and caresses to his body and he’s more than back to being confident of your relationship.
Stan wants you to sit on his lap all of the time, no excuses you’re on his lap and he gets the prettiest view of his unbearably cute spouse as his large hand rubs your thighs, getting progressively closer as to where you needed him most. ;)
♡ — Gojo is drunk and he misses you. He doesn’t seem to understand that you are sitting right in front of him.
“. . . and sh-she’s so talented and pretty . . . my pretty girl . . . you gotta meet her.” SATORU GOJO cocked his head to the side, grinning; his flushed cheeks and ears were a deep shade of red.
The tall man’s legs were outstretched. He was slumped over the arm of your couch, and though he looked like he was on the brink of falling asleep, he continued to ramble on, on, and on.
“Who’s pretty?” You questioned your drunk boyfriend with worry, folding your arms across your chest.
“My girl . . . my baby . . . she’s so . . . I love her. I’m in love. I miss her. I need her.” Satoru’s grin fell into a frown.
Clumsily, he fumbled around until his hand found his phone in his pocket.
“Gonna call her,” he mumbled.
His bright phone screen illuminated his glossy eyes, and it didn’t take long for him to groan in frustration over not being sober enough to find his pretty girl’s contact.
Satoru reached across the coffee table, handing his phone to you.
“Can you call her? I love her so much,” Satoru was on the verge of tears. “I wanna marry my pretty girl.”
“Who am I calling?” Your voice was shaky. As you held his phone in your hands, you tried your hardest to prepare yourself for the worst — hearing Satoru slur out another name.
Satoru’s head snapped in your direction. Strands of his messy white hair fell every which way across his face, but you could still make out his eyebrows, which were pinched in confusion.
“Hmm,” Satoru paused, giving you a slow blink, “you’re not that bright. Everyone knows . . . everyone knows Y/N is mine . . . don’t you know that? She’s my baby.”
You couldn’t fight the urge to grin, nor did you want to.
“Can you hurry?” With a whine, Satoru started to sink down until he was laid out across the couch cushions. “I’m gonna die if you don’t hurry and call her, please. Call her-call Y/N.”
“I’m right here, Satoru,” you said.
He looked at you again, processing your face for a moment. He rolled his eyes.
“No, you’re not.”
“Yes, I am.”
“No . . . you’re not.”
“Okay, you know what?” With a sigh, you dialed your own number and handed the phone back to Satoru. “Here.”
Satoru eagerly grabbed his phone, smiling ear to ear at the sheer anticipation of getting to talk to you.
Naturally, your phone started to ring, and you answered it, staring at your drunk boyfriend.
“Hello?” You mumbled.
“Y/N? I miss you . . . where are you?”
“I’m right here-”
“Hold on, baby.” Satoru suddenly pulled the phone away from his ear, and he shot you a tired glare. “Can you be quiet, please? I’m trying to . . . to talk to my girlfriend.”
Satoru rolled over onto his side, his back now facing you. He put the phone back up to his ear, whispering, “This woman’s so rude, Y/N. No manners . . . where are you?”
“Satoru, sweetheart, that woman is me. I’m right behind you.” You couldn’t help but laugh just a bit.
Slowly, Satoru rolled back around, his eyes locking with yours as his lips parted to, once again, tell you to be quiet, but his annoyed gaze faded away. It changed into a blank expression. Then, as he studied your face further, there was a brief frown of confusion, but suddenly, his lips broke out into a wide smile. Satoru sat upright, unintentionally sending his phone tumbling to the rug below the couch.
“Y/N?” He motioned you towards his lap. “C’mere, sweetheart. Where’ve you been? I missed you so much . . . so much, baby.”
After tapping the red button on your phone to end the call, you then got up and made your way over. He grabbed your wrist and pulled you down onto his lap without wasting a second, his hands finding your hips as you straddled him, and he continued to ramble on, on, and on.
“Baby, there was this other woman here. She was awful . . . wouldn’t be quiet. Told her I was trying to talk to you, not her.” Satoru pulled you closer. He kissed your neck. “I missed you s-so much. Don’t leave again, okay? I don’t wanna talk to no one ‘cept you, okay, baby?”
“Okay, I promise,” you ran your fingers through his messy white hair. “I also promise to throw out all the alcohol in this house, because clearly, you can’t handle it, can you?”
“I can handle you just fine, baby. Will you kiss me now?” Satoru pulled away from your neck, those lips of his falling into a small pout.
You couldn’t help but sigh and smile over him misunderstanding everything right now.
Your needy, drunk boyfriend placed his large hand on the back of your head, guiding your lips towards his, kissing you deeply. All the while, you couldn’t help but wonder if your boyfriend was this needy when he was sober, but kept it a secret.
He certainly was.
