I just randomly saw a tweet of someone saying how much faster RE4 would have been if it had been Claire that was sent to save Ashley instead of Leon bc he’s always chasing Ada or having a grudge match with Krauser.  

Like I get it’s a running joke with the “Ada, wait!” thing, but he LITERALLY doesn’t chase after her in this game?? He never once put aside saving Ashley to go after Ada at all. If anything, it’s Ada that’s the chasing after him low-key and willing to put aside her own mission to save him. 

And Krauser was the one to kidnap Ashley so I don’t see what difference it would make if Claire was sent if Wesker still orders Krauser to assassinate any Raccoon City survivors, especially since Wesker has more of a connection to her than with Leon.

Don’t even get me started on the people that blame his depressed drinking in Vendetta on Ada too even though it’s clear it mainly has to do with the nature of his job. I see more people suggesting he would be happier getting with a “good girl” as the key solution opposed to, idk, maybe getting another profession?

Really feels like such a bandwagon thing to hate on Leon and RE4 these days 

Playing Resident Evil 2 (remake) and then remembering/seeing what Leon is like in RE4 makes me so happy. Like this wee bean goes through all this shit on what's supposed to be his first day as a police officer and then when it's all over, goes off and trains up to be bodyguard to the President's daughter? It's mad because Leon is just such a boyscout and so naive but he's also just so... capable 😂
