I just think it’s really interesting that once I became more visibly Jewish- wearing a tichel or kippah on a daily basis, wearing my hamsa, learning Yiddish- I was immediately faced with (misdirected) transmisogyny- being called transmisogynistic specific slurs, being followed and harrassed off buses, being followed and watched in women’s bathrooms, etc.

It goes to show that transmisogynists and terfs base their ideas on what womanhood is on a white, European, racist, antisemetic, patriarchal caricature of womanhood, and not actual womanhood, which is intrisic to each women, normal or cis.

HxH characters as Beauty Gurus

They all live in Yorknew (New York in modernverse, idk where this is), and the main four all live in the same apartment (Gon and Killua are roomies, and so are Leorio and Kurapika). Hisoka and Illumi live together in a house. Chrollo lives in a fucking mansion because the Phantom Troupe can’t be separated. They own a dog. Its name is Fluffy. He frequent their videos. 

Bisky lives in an overly expensive penthouse apartment. 

Bisky: The original. Gon and Killua’s mentor. Knows all the brands, all the tricks, and is frequently on the verge of going bankrupt because of all the makeup she buys.

Gon: Got into it thanks to Killua, and is still learning the ropes, but he’s got a lot of potential. People watch him for the personality and his bromance with Killua. Will often try out the craziest products and looks because he can.  

Killua: Growing up isolated is tough but makeup makes it better. Borrowed Illumi’s eye-liner one day and became obsessed. Frequently steals his dad’s credit card just to buy high-end products.

Kurapika: He goes for more natural looks. Basically, a sort of Lisa Eldridge of the HxHBeautyGuruverse. Very informative and helpful, even though he’s got some dry humor to him. Can get sassy, especially when he brings Leorio onto his channel. Has a long-standing hatred/quiet admiration for Chrollo Lucilfer and co. Got his start by collabing with Hisoka of all people. 

Leorio: Would never admit it, but he really enjoys experimenting, especially when he gets to try things out on Kurapika (he’s got a bit of a crush on him, but would also never admit it). Doesn’t have his own channel, but might as well be part of Kurapika’s. 

Hisoka: He’s very bold, and very crass. Been looking to collab with Gon and Killua at some point but Bisky and Kurapika are fending him off. Probably the most popular out of all our gurus, mostly because his personality is so out there. The only one who can probably compete with him is Chrollo, who has no intention of fighting Hisoka for the highest subscriber count. 

Illumi: Spends half his videos just talking about his family and how his subscribers should all spam Killua’s channel so he’d finally come home. Very precise with his makeup, but also very quick. The video is literally fifty minutes of “Can you guys bully my little brother for me please” and five minutes of actually putting on the makeup.

Chrollo: Has a superb production staff (ie the PT), and probably has one of the highest budget of the bunch. Doesn’t really associate with the rest of the group, since he’s already got the entire PT to take care of. Wishes Kurapika would stop glaring at him at every Yorknew City event they go to. Like, he doesn’t even know his name!

steven is a really funny character actually. he never went to school. one of his powers is astral projection for no real reason. hes a musical prodigy. he was so traumatized by the end of the show they had to make an entire epilogue series about it. he spent seven years looking like a 3rd grader. he was even bisexual
