Summary: Before the eternals broke up and went their separate ways y/n and Druig dated in secret went they all meet again after centuries that romance is rekindled.
My stomach seemed to be doing back flips as i watched him inch closer to me our faces so close together i could feel his breath fanning my face, "My beautiful beautiful y/n, did you miss me?" He asked his lips curling into a smirk. I couldn't help but smile god i missed him i missed him so much but I like to indulge in his teasing.
"Only in your dreams baby" i quipped, he opened his mouth about to say something probably equally as witty when we were so rudely interrupted by Phastos and Kingo.
" What the hell is this"
"Yeah is this new because i absolutely hate it"
"You're telling me you didn't know they were messing around back in the day?" Sersi added laughing softly.
Kingo and Phastos shared a look and Druig stepped away from me as we both moved to stare at Sersi "What?" I asked surprised i mean she is right but i swear Druig and I were quiet and secretive when it came to our relationship.
"Yeah you guys aren't exactly good at keeping secrets" Ikaris said causing Druig to roll his eyes, a reaction that only Ikaris manages to evoke.
"You know what let's start a fire and gather for sprite's story like we did for old times sake hmm" Ajak says sensing the tension in the room she is our mother in a sense i have always thought of her as my mother, kind, nurturing loving always doing what was best for us.
"Ajak is right let's do that yes!" I say clapping my hands glad to get out from under the surprised stares of everyone trying to put pieces together.
We sat around the fire the air was cool and everything was peaceful as Sprite began her tales.
"Are you cold love?" I hear Druig's raspy voice in my ear.
I wasn't cold really I'm an eternal i can handle cold but i wanted him close and i wanted to feel him again. I smiled "Yes" he got closer to me taking off his jacket to drape over me pulling me into him. I looked up at him for a moment and he looked down at me our tension could be cut with a knife. Our faces so close our lips almost brush i looked at his lips and before i could lean in i heard the sound of coughing.
"Seriously? We are right here get a room please" Phastos' voice boomed interrupting my train of thought Druig and I pulled away from each other my cheeks flushing as i looked around to the others
"I really don't like this" Kingo said making everyone laugh.

summary: regulus wanted to show you the world, but you’re two worlds apart. based off of astrology by conan gray.
pairing: regulus black x fem!reader
warnings: breakup, angst, mentions of alcoholic parents, a kiss hehe, let me know if there’s anymore! i didn’t proof read cause i’m lazy!!!
masterlist.
You and Regulus came from very different worlds, but strangely enough you two were very similar. Regulus grew up in a pureblood family, his dad very cold and distant, and his mom very controlling. He had this weight on his back trying to be the perfect child they expected him to be, and it was hard at him. Hogwarts was like an escape for him.
You were a muggle born witch who never knew her father, and your mom was an alcoholic who tried to care about you as best as she could. You always wanted her to be proud of you, and no matter how hard you tried, she never seemed to notice. It hurt really bad because you worked for everything so hard, not for yourself, but for her.
You met Regulus during your sixth year. You knew of each other, but never really spoke. You had no reason to, and you also heard that the pureblood boy did not like people like you, so you kept your distance to avoid drama.
The two of you sat in the library, separate tables but in each other’s view. You shared small glances every once in a while, and it almost scared you. You hated that you didn’t know what he was thinking, you hated that every time you looked up he was already looking. You hated the way he would look away quickly and pretend he wasn’t, so of course you did what any sane person would do, you walked over to him.
Your mom always taught you to stand up for yourself, so that’s what you did. Regulus watched as you grabbed the book you were reading and your bag as if you were going to leave, but when you started to walk straight towards him his heart started fo pound out of his chest. Why was she coming over. He quickly looked back down at his potions book when you slammed your hand down on the table, causing him to jump.
“What the hell are you staring at?” You asked, and he looked at you with wide eyes, not responding. “Huh?” You raised your eyebrows, curious to hear what he was going to say. Regulus cleared his throat and pointed at the book in your hands. “Your book.” He said, glancing at it. You looked down at it. It was a book on astrology, it wasn’t school assigned but you found it hidden in the far back corner of the library.
“My book?” You questioned, confused. “Yes, your book.” He responded ever so simply, and your face scrunched up even tighter. “It’s a really good book, I used to read it all the time.” He finally answered, your face softened. “Oh.” You replied, now shocked.
“Oh?” He pressed further into your thoughts. “I thought you were planning my murder or something.” You explained, causing him to laugh. The most infectious and perfect laugh you had ever heard. His smile was wide, and you couldn’t help but scoff. “Don’t ever stare at people like that again.” You suggested to him, before giving him a small smile. “I’ll remember that.” He nodded, laughing off the moment.
After that, you saw each other in the library almost every night. You started to sit with him after a while, and for hours you would talk instead of study. Talk for hours and hours about endless nothings. Those nothings turned into somethings one particular night.
“You’ve never been to france?” He asked, and you nodded. “Not everyone is rich like you, Reg.” His heart fluttered at you calling him a nickname. “The only place I’ve ever been to is London, and that’s where I grew up.” You shrugged, and he stared at you for a moment, something he always did when he was thinking you had come to find out.
“I’ll show you the world one day, Y/N.” He said, looking at you in your eyes. “Promise?” You marveled. “Promise.” He promised you. The two of you went silent for a moment, before he leaned in and gave you a kiss. Regulus couldn’t believe what he had done. He was giving you a kiss. He was thrilled, no he was more than thrilled. He couldn’t describe how amazing the feeling was. “I think.. I think I love you.” You whispered, both your faces close as the two of you parted from the kiss. “I think I love you too.” He smiled, making you blush deeply.
You were the one person who ever treated him like he was more than the Black family heir. It felt.. right. Until it didn’t.
Regulus laid awake for hours that night. Tossing and turning, thinking. He couldn’t stop thinking. Thinking about the dark mark that laid implanted in his skin. Thinking about how you would be in danger if anyone found out about your shared nights in the library talking about the stars in the glowing sky, traveling around to see the beautiful sky in every corner of the world. He loved the idea of it, but he knew it could never happen.
Not with the dark mark, not with his parents and their pureblood mania, not with you being the one person Voldemort would go to if he crossed him. It filled him with anxiety, and fear. Regulus didn’t want to ever see you hurt. Little did he know he was going to be the reason you were.
Regulus stopped talking to you, started avoiding you at any costs, and definitely stopped coming to the library at night. It left you confused, and heart broken. What did you do so wrong for him to do this? Everything was going so.. perfect.
Somehow you cornered him in the corridors one night after dinner, you had tears in your eyes when you grabbed Regulus’s wrist and turned him around so he could look at you. His heart shattered when he saw your face. “What the hell, Regulus?” You said angrily. “Why have you been avoiding me?” You asked, hoping for an answer. He only shrugged.
“Distance brings fondness, I guess.” He said, and you stepped back slowly. “What?” You asked, your voice so low it was almost a whisper. He didn’t say anything.
“Did you even love me?” You demanded an answer. Not a single word came from his mouth. “You have nothing to say?” Silence. “…Nothing?” You almost pleaded.
“I’m sorry, Y/N. It was never gonna work out.” Tears fell from your eyes. “I’m from a pureblood family and you’re a..” He started. “Mudblood?” You finished. “Wow.. so this meant nothing to you?”
“You’re pointing at a sky that’s already dead.” He referenced to the astrology book. You stared at him for a moment, hurt in your eyes. “Fine.” You said sharply, walking away.
UPDATE
Hi guys,it oficial the imagines are going out THIS WEEK so be prepared,I decided to wait to lanas new song to see if I could come up with something and I think I’m doing well so yeah :)
materlist
Dark Obsession with Sirius and regulus? Where they're both obsessed with the reader
Omg,I can totally see that,I will write and when it’s out I put here.
Guys I think I will only be able to post tomorrow because I didn’t had time to finish
hi so you know this post? i was looking at all the things you were originally gonna do with it and i saw the hogsmeade with harry so i was just wondering if you could write that also with gof harry :) it’s really such a pain in the ass trying to find fics of him cuz he’s so criminally underrated </3
Going to Hogsmeade with Harry
a/n - I kinda forgot the gof part sorry bestie I really wrote this over a WHILE and didn't look at your request for a hot sec there's literally no mention of it being gof Harry😭✋
Warnings: drinks??? (butterbeer not alcohol) not sure what else???
sorry but the bestie takes forever to even ASK
doesn't matter if you are together, he's speaking to Ron at literal midnight
"Yeah, I know they'd probably say yes but would they really? 'Cause I did that really annoying thing last week and I don't know if they're holding a grudge!"
and at some point he even managed to get Ron doubtful of if you'd want to go
and they both have a mini crisis because Ron's just a little too invested in your love life after Harry has spoken about it for weeks
"Mate, to be honest, you're making me doubt them - which is odd because I've never really done that before, they obviously like you." "But do they lOVE ME enough to go with me?!?"
why's he acting like this is a proposal???
Ron has no clue but just goes along with it slightly
after a minute to pause, Ron gets the fantastic idea of going to see Hermione for help
kind of 'forgets' to tell Harry because Harry may have asked he didn't tell anyone
but Ron had kept the secret for WEEKS okay, cut him some slack
"So, if, uh, theoretically, someone with dark-ish hair and a holy scar on his forehead wanted to ask someone that he really likes to go to Hogsmeade, how would he... go about that?"
she shakes her head because girl WHAT are these boys doing
also, Ron is totally indiscreet and basically just told her over breakfast before Harry was there
and bess frenn was not quite using an indoor voice
he used a very shouty stage whisper
and now Ginny knows
and Ginny may or may not have told Neville in transfiguration
and Neville may or may not have told Cho in the greenhouse
and Cho may, okay, she definitely told Luna
who was kind of forgetful in the fact that you weren't meant to know
so, she mentions it whilst on a walk with you
"Harry wanted to take you to Hogsmeade, although now I'm not so sure. I heard about it on Monday so maybe it was a sudden impulse since he hasn't asked. What do you think?" "Well... I think I'll wait it out until he says something for now. Thanks, Luna."
okay so now she's done half his job for him
should be easy from then on, right?
wrong
and you really give him every opportunity
I mean EVERY
bestie is fumbling and you're stood there like ummm is he going to ask me out???
then one day you basically give up the pretence that you have no clue what's going on and straight up talk about it like you are already going together
"So, I'm thinking that when we go on Saturday, we should obviously go to Madam Puddifoot's because apparently she knows everyone's tea strength and milk to sugar ratio and whatever so that's really cool, and then-" "Huh? Did I ask last night because I don't really remember and I was really tired so I mean... I'm sure I would have woken right up if you had said yes though, so I'm not sure how I can't remember asking!" "Harry, you didn't. Until now, kind of, I guess. So, yes, Harry, I'll go with you to Hogsmeade and now we need to sort out where we're going. Talk later, yeah?"
woah
he's astounded
Ron hears about it in Potions through a note/several ones that have literally quoted what you said word for word
Hermione hears in Transfiguration from Harry and Ron, with the latter instantly telling her as soon as he walks up to her
now Ron and Hermione are basically Harry's therapists till Saturday
Neville is sat next to them whilst Harry's going off on a rant and has wide eyes whilst Ron and Hermione are like 'yup, this is nothing new, getting a bit bland'.
so, when Saturday comes and you wait in the Great Hall, Hermione literally runs up to you
"Take him away from us, like, now. I can't listen to any more from him and he keeps asking if his scarf is askew? Since when does he care?"
so you're off
he apologises for making you go through the tunnel to Hogsmeade and you tell him multiple times it's no problem
besides, it gives you privacy to hold hands and have him swing them whilst they're clasped together
bestie he hit your hand on the wall by accident and five minutes were spent with him asking if you were okay and examining your hand
when you finally get out of the tunnels and whatever you naturally gravitate to Madam Puddifoot's because Harry wants you to be happy with where you're going and you already mentioned it so it's the first stop
aww adorable
anyways
you and Harry swap drinks at a point even though they're meant to be tailored to you specifically not the person you're on a date with
but you swap to see what the other person likes even if you both end up pursing your lips at how sweet or not sweet the other person's is
you swap back and laugh together as you talk about practically anything
if you're a bookish person then you definitely stop by a book shop and Harry frowns as he sees an old book by Gilderoy Lockhart until you steer him away
he reads the blurb of every book you pick up because he wants to know what you like and you try to recommend books to each other
if you end up with a kinda big stack of books propped up by one arm while you look for others, he'll take half the pile no matter how many he already has
then oopsie daisy he accidentally pays for a few of them
"Harry, I could have paid myself! When do you want the money back by?" "You don't need to pay me back, Merlin knows I have enough money anyway, and you don't owe me anything, promise. If you're that worried you can pay me back whenever you want, I don't mind."
okay that earns him a hug with the bags of books looped around your arms
if you jostle a bag and he sees it has left a stripe on your arm from the handles or anything, he's taking the bag
asking first, of course
you go to the Three Broomsticks and drink butterbeer together or another drink and then try not to laugh at the froth that appears above each other's lips
"I see only one solution." "What's that?" "Obviously gotta get it off somehow." Then, he runs his thumb over your lip before saying, "Nope, don't think I got it off. Only one thing for it." Next, he's kissing you, something you eagerly return.
then a teacher walks in and since basically everyone knows Harry, basically everyone knows he's not supposed to be in Hogsmeade
you duck immediately
Harry's quizzical before he spots the teacher and drops to be under the table
he bumps his hand on the way
you facepalm before kissing his knuckles, claiming the classic 'a kiss will make it better'
he blushed before a look of disappointment crosses his face
"What is it?" you hiss from below the table, "Does it hurt more now that I did that, sorry." "No, no, it's great, never felt better! Just realised I could have done that in the tunnels. Missed opportunity." "It's never too late," you grin and raise an eyebrow, "I actually think it still stings, maybe you should return the favour, make it better." "I think I should, too." And he does, as you giggle together under the table in the Three Broomsticks on a Saturday, muffling laughs in each other's shoulders and hoping the teacher doesn't hear you.
it becomes a thing you do whenever you have free time on Saturdays and Harry isn't defeating someone or anything
after a while, Harry becomes less nervous for each date
but don't worry, they're all just as special as the first
that scene where there's snow in Hogsmeade?
yeah, you go together in winter too
you have snowball fights against Ron and Hermione
it's half so that they'll maybe actually get together finally and half because you and Harry really want to be on a team with each other
you make little bases which are just mini hills of snow you hide behind while you make snowballs to chuck
if you forget gloves, don't even worry, he's got a spare pair
there are some moments where Ron rolls his eyes at the displays of affection you two have
for example, once Harry didn't have spare gloves so he just made snowballs and guided you to put your hands on top of his and make them with him
cuties alert 🚨🚨🚨
another time is when you are scrambling across the snow to try to invade your opposition's base to pelt them with snowballs, you fall to the ground and Harry, who had been distracting them, rushes out to check on you
woah, sacrificing himself to the snowballs for you, that's true love
he leans over you as you flat on your back before you laugh and put your hands on his cheeks
he ignores the chill from your gloves sourced by making snowballs and grins down at you
just as he's about to kiss you, Ron hits the two of you with a snowball in the literal tiny gap between your lips
Hermione thwacks him (gently) and then the moment is sort of, but not really, over
so she joins Ron in chucking snowballs at you until they run out and literally just start gathering fistfuls of snow
Harry pushes over so that you're both on your sides facing each other but his back is to Romoine (I can't keep writing both their names again I'm sorry-) as he gets attacked with snowballs and is basically your shield
and he just chuckles every time he's hit before acting like he's wounded, asking you to kiss it better-
then, he signals for you to run as he grabs the invisibility cloak from his pocket and hands it to you
you know what he means and get up carefully, darting behind a little snow mound whilst Romoine are grabbing more snow armfuls
you sneak around in the cloak to your previous base and carry as many snowballs as you can manage in your arms until you stand behind the two
they couldn't see you weren't there since all they can see is Harry shuffling around and as silly as it sounds, it's a major tactic
you pat a snowball into the base of Ron's neck as he jumps and looks at Hermione
then, when he looks away, Hermione gets one there too
Hermione looks at Ron before practically tackling him, a new pyramid of snowballs set up by you and they don't stop to think about how they got there
you run back to Harry as he smiles
"Every person for themselves?" "Godric, no. Let's just wait to see how long they fight, it's funny."
when they realise it was you, Harry states 'all is fair in love and war' smugly before you two end up running, you trying to unfurl the cloak from where it lies over your arm and toss it over the both of you
like it would help cover the footprints in the snow but whatever
you run back to Hogwarts and sit in front of the fire together later, Harry and you sharing a blanket
if McGonagall sees you huddled together and wonders why you would have gone into the snow if Harry didn't have parental permission to Hogsmeade even when she already knows the answer, she says nothing

I just wanted to know where this song is?does anyone know?
If requests are still open; may I please have something with Regulus Black? Maybe she's Remus’ sister and was scratched by the werewolf - so she doesn't transform, she just gets pain during the full moon. And Regulus starts sweet talking in another language (maybe Frenc, learned from his parents) while trying to calm her down during a full moon? Maybe even some cute pet names? Just something fluffy with a little angst, please.
hey! so sorry for the late response! here is your fic bby 💕
summary: regulus black helps you with your lycanthropy symptoms
warnings: blood & violence; no-voldemort AU
You and your older brother had a bond that no one else had. From your personal experience, you’d like to say that was a good thing. You didn’t want anyone to deal with yours and Remus’ furry little problems. Only, there was a minor difference between you and Remus was that he turned into an actual werewolf while you suffered the symptoms that came with lycanthropy.
---
Summer of 1965
It was exceptionally hot that one evening. The windows of young Remus’ bedroom were cracked open to allow the cool summer breeze into his room. The young five year old slept peacefully in his bed until he was awoken by his teary eyed sister.
“y/n, why are you awake?” Remus murmured, rubbing his eyes.
You clutched your rabbit plush tight against your chest as your lip trembled. “I had another bad dream, Rem,” you whispered shakily. “Can I stay with you tonight? Please?”
Remus sighed. You had been having night terrors for months on end. For the most part, you stayed in your parents’ room, but occasionally you would creep into your older brother’s room. Normally, Remus wouldn’t mind, but sometimes you’d kick or mutter in your sleep, leaving him restless the next morning.
“No, y/n/n,” he grumbled, turning on his side for his back to face you. “You’re a big girl now. Big girls sleep in their own room, okay?”
Tears flowed down your reddened face. “But Remus,” you begged quietly. “I- I heard something in my room. I think there’s a monster in there.”
Sitting up, Remus glared at his sister. “There’s no such thing as monsters, y/n,” he said forcefully. “Now go to bed before I tell Mum and Dad.”
Wiping away your tears, you made your way out of Remus’ bedroom. Once the door clicked shut, Remus laid back down and tucked himself into bed. After what seemed like hours passed, Remus was jolted away by a scream. Your scream.
Remus kicked off his blanket and sprinted to your room. The sight before him was horrific. You laid limp in your bed, blood gushing out of your throat. Your green eyes stared at the ceiling, dazed and slowly losing its life and energy. Your floral bedsheets, once a clean white, were now soaked and red.
Hovering over you was a werewolf, paws covered in your blood. Gaining all the strength he could muster, Remus ran over to you and tried to push the werewolf off of you. The creature narrowed its eyes at the young boy before pouncing on his next victim.
By the time Lyall and Hope reached your bedroom, both of you were unconscious, and the werewolf was nowhere to be found. It didn’t matter what spells or potions Lyall used on the two of you. The damage was already done.
Remus sat at the edge of your bed, holding your hand tightly in his. Your dad stood in the middle of the room, casting countless protection charms over your room. Hope entered the room with muggle medical supplies, preparing to change your bandages. You were still unconscious, Fenrir Greyback harming you more than your older brother. It was a miracle that you didn’t get lycanthropy. Your brother wasn’t as lucky.
Tears threatened to escape Remus’ hazel eyes. “I’m sorry, y/n/n,” he whispered softly. “I’m so sorry. I should’ve let you stay in my room, I- I should’ve-”
“Shh,” Hope shushed calmly, sitting beside her son and combing her fingers through his light brown hair. “It’s not your fault, dear.”
Remus dug his face into his mother’s sweater. “Yes it is!” he cried, balling the fabric in his small fists. “I hurt y/n. I didn’t let her sleep in my room that night. I’m a bad brother!”
“No you’re not, sweetheart,” his mother said in a hushed voice. “Remus, promise me to take good care of your sister from now on, okay? Keep each other safe.”
The freckled boy nodded eagerly, sitting back at your bedside. From then on, Remus swore to always protect you from all harm, including himself on full moons.
---
For the most part, you were fine. You helped Remus after the full moon, and dealt with your symptoms with a simple potion. But sometimes, the two of you would get territorial the week prior to the full moon. Remus’ friends and your boyfriend would help you and your brother avoid altercations, though.
One morning, everything was going fine. Students filled the Great Hall, eager to get their hands on the specialty of the morning, chocolate pancakes. You sat with Lily and her friends while Remus sat with his. However, it seemed as though you and Remus woke up on the wrong side of the bed that morning. The change in your bodies during the full moon was painful both physically and emotionally.
You reached for the last chocolate pancake on the golden plate when another hand grazed yours. Green eyes met green when you glared at your equally exhausted brother. Remus growled lowly, not breaking his gaze. Suddenly, you heard a crowd of students appear and pull the two of you apart.
“Alright, alright show’s over,” Sirius announced to the two of you, Peter followed suit.
James appeared at Sirius’ side, reaching for Remus’ wrist. “There’s plenty of pancakes to go around, Moony and Little Lupin, calm down.”
You narrowed your eyes at your older brother, wolfish instincts kicking in. You bared your teeth, revealing your fangs, a trait you received upon Fenrir’s attack when you were four years old. In a swift motion, you felt a pair of arms wrap around your waist and pull you off the bench. Kicking your legs, you growled and wriggled in the arms of the stranger until you were moved to the Slytherin table. Several students turned around to watch the scene unfold.
Settled on the bench, you glared at the pair of grey eyes staring at you. You folded your arms on your chest. “I was busy, you know,” you grumbled.
Regulus raised his eyebrows in confusion. “Busy murdering your brother over a pancake?”
“A chocolate pancake, yes,” you corrected, still bothered and very hungry, at that.
Your boyfriend chuckled, combing your hair with his fingers and pushing your hair behind your shoulders. “I don’t think Professor Dumbledore would approve of that, y/n/n,” he scolded playfully. “Must you always fight with your brother during your time of the month?” You rolled your eyes at the phrase.
“Considering the fact that he is an arse, yes, yes I must always fight with him,” you snap, itching to get your hands on something, anything to eat.
Regulus sighed, fighting the urge to say something sarcastic. He took note that you were quite irritable this month. Other times you were overly emotional or “lovey-dovey.” Weeks like these were the ones that the poor Slytherin dreaded the most. It didn’t take much to set your temper off when you felt this way before the full moon. No matter, though. Regulus always came prepared.
“I had a feeling,” Regulus smirked. “That’s why I prepared this for you.” Lifting the covering off of the golden plate, he revealed a stack of chocolate pancakes, with strawberries and chocolate chips drizzled on top.
You felt as though you could start sobbing. “Regulus,” you gasped, covering your heart with your hand. “Have I ever told you how much I love you?”
The younger Black brother held back a laugh. “Just about every day, yes, mon soleil,” he replied, scooping oatmeal into his mouth and going back to reading the newspaper. Before eating your meal, you launched yourself on top of your boyfriend, peppering his face with kisses.
“I love you I love you I love you!” you squealed, wrapping your arms around his neck. Taken by surprise, Regulus barely caught you in time, seeing as he was still in the middle of eating his own breakfast.
Regulus’ nose crinkled at the ticklish sensation of your kisses. His hands fell to your waist, holding you securely. “y/n, stop-”
“OI! REGULUS GET YOUR HANDS OFF MY SISTER OR I’LL SCRATCH YOUR EYES OUT!” You turned to see your brother, standing and leaning over the Gryffindor table. Sirius and James sat beside him, both face palming.
Deciding to test your brother, you pulled Regulus into another kiss, this time on his lips, kissing him slowly. You placed one hand on his chest, the other pulling at his emerald green tie. Regulus stared down at you wide eyed, and fearing for what will happen next.
Remus began to make his way to the Slytherin table when James grabbed him by the back of his cardigan and back down to the Gryffindor table. Sirius rolled his eyes, taking a sip of his pumpkin juice as he casually watched the whole ordeal. He was practically over it, seeing as you and your brother always pushed each other’s buttons.
“Moony, be a dear and not murder my little brother?” Sirius requested.
The tall green eyed teen glared at his friend. “Once he stops getting handsy with my sister,” he muttered, stabbing his stack of pancakes. “Then I’ll consider.”
“Oi best not get too angry with Regulus, Moony,” James warned teasingly. “In a few years he might be your brother-in-law.”
Peter nibbled at a piece of toast. “Yeah, and to be honest it’s y/n that’s getting handsy with Sirius’ brother in the first place.”
Everyone glared at Peter and silently mouthed for him to shut up. Remus slowly turned his head, eyes practically twitching.
“What did you say about my sister, Wormtail?” he asked in an eerily calm tone.
“I said-”
“OH LOOK IS THAT THE BELL?” James announced loudly. He picked his books up and swung his legs over the bench. “I think it’s time we head to potions, don’t you think, Pads?”
Sirius stood up with his friend. “Most definitely right, my dear Prongs.” The two hooked arms and sped out of the Great Hall.
Remus rolled his eyes, shoveling more of his food into his mouth before following suit. “There’s no bell here, you prats!”
---
Days passed until it was ultimately the full moon was mere hours away. You were incredibly anxious, and you couldn’t stop your knee from bouncing or your teeth from biting your lip. Regulus was a great help, always placing his hand over your knee whenever it started bouncing. Sometimes if you weren’t in class he would distract you by starting a small conversation.
You couldn’t help but nervously pick at your nails as you watched the sun set at a taunting pace through the Slytherin common room window. You were currently waiting for Regulus to come down the stairs to help you study for your upcoming transfiguration test. The sun set, normally was a beautiful sight, but on days like these you felt incredibly terrified of what the full moon might bring next.
A tap on your shoulder snapped you out of your thoughts. Jumping, you turned to see a pair of grey eyes stare back at you in concern. Regulus’ eyebrows furrowed in confusion. “Are you alright, mon soleil?” he asked you softly. You nodded, taking his hand as he led you to the couch by the fireplace. Regulus opened his textbook and began to explain the subject while you slowly dozed off.
You continued to study for a while until you noticed the natural light in the common room begin to dim. Sitting up, you glanced over at the window and watched the moon replace the sun in the sky. Anxiety seemed to wash over you and you felt your body shake and heat up.
Regulus quickly closed his book, coming to your aid. He gently placed his arm around your waist, pulling you to his chest. With one hand, he cupped your chin and turned your face to face his. The Slytherin’s soft stare slowly made your nerves calm down.
“Shh, y/n, look at me,” he whispered. “I’m here, you’re okay. You’re okay, love.”
Tears quickly filled your eyes. Your heart beat out of your chest and your breath quickened. You felt the full moon’s effects take over you. Screwing your eyes shut, you dug your head into Regulus’ chest. You curled up on the couch, hugging your knees against your chest as you cried out in pain.
“I- It hurts,” you whimpered. “Regulus… it hurts.” The Slytherin nodded, picking you up in his arms and standing up in a swift motion.
“I know love, I know,” Regulus said in a hushed voice, kissing the top of your head. “I’m taking you to Madam Pomfrey right now. Hold tight, mon soleil.”
Despite the pain, you managed to fall asleep on the way to the hospital wing, rocked to sleep by the twists and turns of the school corridors. By the time you woke up, you were laid in a bed, in Regulus’ arms. Almost immediately, the effects of the moon started to kick in once more. You felt as though a million hornets attacked your stomach, and your head began to spin at a rapid rate. Letting out a groan, you threw your head back into your pillow. The moonlight peeked through the curtains of the hospital wing. It was as if the lights were stabbing through your skin with burning knives. The pain was more unbearable than ever before.
You wriggled in Regulus’ grasp, legs kicking in the sheets. Glancing at the full moon, you felt the urge to howl, your wolf side taking over you. You lifted your hand to your mouth, biting it harshly to muffle your screams.
“y/n/n, no,” Regulus scolded gently, pulling your hand out of your mouth. Your hand was reddened with marks on it from your bite. He wove your fingers together with his, kissing your hand softly. The Slytherin pressed light kisses to your cheek and down to your neck in attempts to distract you from the pain. Madam Pomfrey gave you a potion to lessen the effects of lycanthropy, but that was all she could do to help. The pain was not entirely gone.
You let out another whimper in pain. Your cheeks were flushed red and were wet with tears. “Regulus, I can’t take it,” you gasped out.
Regulus frowned slightly. “What do you need me to do, love? I’m here.”
Another wave of pain washed over you making you writhe, fighting back another scream. You could barely string more than two words together. Turning to face Regulus, your green eyes pierced into his grey ones. “Distract. Me.”
The Slytherin swallowed loudly as he readjusted his grip around you. “Distract you?” he repeated. “Like… how?”
You screamed in pain, thrashing around once more. “ANYTHING DAMMIT,” you cried.
Regulus took a deep breath, closing his eyes. It hurt him deeply to see you in pain like this, but he was stuck on what to do. Opening his eyes, he noticed a tall tree through the window. An idea lit up in his head.
“I went to my family’s second home in France this summer,” the youngest Black started shakily. “You know how much I love France. So I went off by myself to the nearby muggle town and it was absolutely beautiful. There was a small cafe and a bookshop that I know you’d adore. I bought a book filled with French children’s stories and songs, and decided to read it. And in the back of the town was this tall tree, one that you could climb for hours until you reached the top. It was on this tall hill that overlooked the entire town and hills for miles and miles. It was so serene. I want to take you there one day. You’d love it there, love.”
Slowly, you began to calm down. Your thrashing became less frequent and your breathing began to slow. Your eyes fluttered closed, but you were still awake. “Sing to me,” you whispered weakly. “Sing me one of those songs from the book, please.”
Regulus’ cheeks reddened as he looked away sheepishly. “y/n, I’m not that good at singing, you know that,” he told you. “A-and my French isn’t that good-”
You cut your boyfriend off with a pained laugh. “Please, you and I both know you are absolutely talented in both of those things. I love your voice, Regulus. Sing for me, please?” You opened your eyes and pouted. Sighing, Regulus nodded. He could never resist those beautiful eyes of yours.
“Au clair de la lune, mon ami Pierrot,” he began, slowly running his fingers through your hair.
“Prête-moi ta plume, pour écrire un mot. Ma chandelle est morte, je n’ai plus de feu.
Ouvre-moi ta porte, pour l’amour de Dieu.”
You laid your head back, closing your eyes once more. You held back your cries of pain, trying to distract yourself with his singing. “Au clair de la lune, Pierrot répondit, “Je n’ai pas de plume, je suis dans mon lit. Va chez la voisine, je crois qu’elle y est, Car dans sa cuisine, on bat le briquet.”
The younger Black smiled softly at you, tracing your bottom lip with his thumb. Eventually your pain subdued slightly, enough for you to relax.
“Au clair de la lune, s’en fut Arlequin
Frapper chez la brune. Elle répond soudain : “Qui frappe de la sorte ? Il dit à son tour :
Ouvrez votre porte, pour le Dieu d’Amour!” Au clair de la lune, on n’y voit qu’un peu. On chercha la plume, on chercha du feu. En cherchant d’la sorte, je n’sais c’qu’on trouva. Mais je sais qu’la porte sur eux se ferma.”
Even after Regulus finished, you were still awake, only your eyes remained closed. The ends of your lips tired pulled into a small smile. Lifting your hand, you cupped your boyfriend’s face. “Thank you,” you whispered weakly.
Regulus kissed the top of your head. “Anything for you, mon soleil.”
You giggled at the ticklish sensation. “What does that mean?” you asked quietly, drifting off to sleep. “Mon soleil. You call me that all the time, but I never understood what that meant.”
The Slytherin wizard gently kissed your lips so lightly that you barely felt his lips press against your own. Your chest raised slowly upwards, then down, falling into a calming pattern until you fell asleep, too tired to listen to his response.
“Mon soleil,” he repeated in a hushed voice. “My sunshine. My beautiful, amazing, incredibly kind sunshine.”
Regulus laid back beside you, digging his face into your hair. “I love you, mon soleil.”
