You Vs How Others See You?

Hi, Hexlings!

Take your time when choosing your pile. Ask yourself the question and choose the picture that you can’t stop looking at. Listen to your intuition.

You Vs How Others See You?

Pile 1:

How Do You View Yourself? Tarot: 8 of Wands (reversed), 4 of Swords, The Moon / The Sun (Both Reversed), The World)

Pile l you may be the type of person who constantly jokes about your flaws, aka putting yourself down in a joking manner. An example would be if you are speaking with someone and the topic is on food you may jokingly say "My fat a** stay eating." While you are joking you're always joking about the things that you feel insecure about in your life to make yourself feel better. You view yourself as "lazy" but you only view yourself that way because you refuse to act or even follow through on things you say that you are going to do. Which I find funny because you have the duality of the Moon and the Sun and they are both in reverse. Not only that but also the World card too. You are basically a walking contradiction. You are probably the person who always wants to go out and do things so you make plans with people but then cancel last minute and then wonder why you don't have friends, people don't invite you anywhere, or get sad because you don't go anywhere even though you are the problem. This is supposed to be a how do you view yourself post but instead, it turned into a what is wrong with you post, haha.

You Vs How Others See You?

Pile ll:

How Do You View Yourself? Tarot: Ace of Cups (reversed), 5 of Pentacles, Queen of Pentacles, The Tower, 5 of Wands

Pile ll while this reading will say some things about how you view yourself your cards are giving me how you view life in general and I am seeing a lot of lack mostly financially with the green symbolism in the cards and the 5 of pentacles which is all about lack of finances but it's not just finances that you feel there is a lack. Some of you truly don't believe that you are a good person or if not a good person you don't believe good things can happen to you. It's as if you pick the winning lottery every week for who will have a crappy week and you are always the top 5 runner up for this lottery ticket. You feel that you always have to battle other people and life itself. Back to how you feel about yourself, you may deal with Major Depression Disorder. I'm getting a visual of someone struggling to get out of bed most days because you just don't see anything good in yourself. You lack self-esteem, finances, possibly a support system, and so forth.

You Vs How Others See You?

Pile lll:

How Do You View Yourself? Tarot: Queen of Cups, 3 of Pentacles, Ace of Cups, 7 of Swords / Ace of Swords (reversed), 4 of Cups, The Wheel (reversed)

This is probably my least depressing pile with somewhat positive energy. Pile lll you see yourself as someone who is caring, kind, and empathetic towards others. You love to support your friends and those around you but for a few of you, you may not like to see others do better than you. This is only for a few of you, for others you like to compare yourself to others and see what you don't have and start to feel bad and question everything that you have built for yourself or you as a person. This could be about careers, looks, goals, etc. Either way, you sometimes let someone's finished project become your comparison when you are just starting things out or almost to the finish line but can't help but look over at the "competition." For those who share the energy of not wanting others to do better than them but like to see people succeed still. You may also carry narcissistic traits. this doesn't mean that you are one just you have certain traits that mirror one. (Please note that I am not a therapist and you should see a therapist for anything of mental and emotional diagnosis). You don't carry a lot of the symptoms of the trait only the one where you feel you may be better than others in a vain kind of way and not you are great at things you do. Again this is only a select few of you and not everyone for the most overall energy you like to compare and put yourself down when others do better than you but overall you see yourself as a great person who is kind, caring, supportive, etc.

How I do Crystal Grids

So I got an ask a while back about how I do crystal grids and if I could share that information, so here goes!

Let’s start off with some general knowledge of what a grid is, what it can be used for, and what different parts make up the grid.

What is a crystal grid?

-Simply put, a crystal grid is an arrangement of crystals that helps set, focus, and amplify intentions

What can a grid be used for?

-There are several things you can use a crystal grid for

1. To increase the power of your crystals

2. To cleanse and/or charge your crystals

3. Create protective boundaries

4. Raise the vibration of your space (good for work flow or meditation)

5. To bring in luck, happiness, wealth, love etc. (any intention you can put into a spell, you can put into a crystal grid)

Different Parts of a grid

The Perimeter

–an optional outer ring of stones that are used to protect your grid.

The Desire Stones

–Gather the energy of your stones and send it out into your space

The Way Stones

–Organizes and modifies the energy set by the focus stone

The Focus Stone

–Usually the stone in the center of the grid, sets your intentions

Grid Layouts

-There are books that tell you the ‘typical’ layouts but honestly I say do whatever feels right for you and fits your purpose!

Now that the technical stuff is out of the way, lets move on to how I personally create my crystal grids!

I like to keep my process pretty intuitive. There are lots of resources that will give you specific steps to follow, and even tell you which types of crystals to use in what part of the grid based on the crystal structure or color. I tend to throw all of that out the window.

Step 1: I pick my intention. This can be anything I would do a spell for, healing, self-love, binding, banishing, bringing in money or luck, and so on.

Step 2: Pick my crystals. I actually pick the crystals before I pick the layout. Sometimes I select crystals based on which properties match with my intention (rose quartz for self love, aventurine for money). Sometimes I just go through my collection and pick the ones that are calling me.

Step 3: Pick my layout. I tend to do a traditional bullseye type layout (Focus stone in the very center, way stones as the middle ring, desire stones as the outer ring). Sometimes I use a spiral method. Those are probably my top two layouts.

Step 4: Place the stones. Again, this is a very intuitive process. I tend to use a point for the focus stone, and then lay way stones in a cross like shape around it (i.e. one directly above, one directly below, one to the right, one to the left) filling in with a few other way stones if I feel like it. I then place the desire stones in a circle around the whole thing, alternating stones (If I have multiple types of stone for the desire stones). If I put up a barrier it also goes in a circle around the whole thing.

Step 5: In my process, the grid is activated once the stones are all in place. Sometimes I’ll fuss and shift stones around until they make a pleasing design, so once I’m done, the grid is activated. I then leave it up as long as I please!

lilith through the houses ✨🥀

Lilith Through The Houses ✨🥀

Lilith in the 1st House: Here, Lilith influences your self-image and personality. It’s like having a shadow self that’s rebellious and defiant, constantly challenging the way you present yourself to the world. You might struggle with anger or impulsiveness, feeling like an outsider even in your own skin.

Lilith in the 2nd House: This placement touches on your values and possessions. Lilith can manifest as an intense, sometimes destructive relationship with material things and self-worth. You might experience deep-seated fears about security and survival, or find yourself obsessing over possessions as a way to fill emotional voids.

Lilith in the 3rd House: Communication gets a Lilith twist here. Your words might carry a sharp edge, often veering into taboo or controversial territory. Misunderstandings can be frequent, and you may feel like your true thoughts are too dark or intense for everyday conversation.

Lilith in the 4th House: In the realm of home and family, Lilith can stir up deep, unresolved issues. This placement often points to a tumultuous home life or unresolved trauma from the past. You might feel like an outcast in your own family or struggle with a sense of belonging.

Lilith in the 5th House: Lilith’s presence here can bring intense, sometimes tumultuous experiences in love, creativity, and pleasure. Romantic relationships might be fraught with obsession, power struggles, or taboo elements. Your creative outlets could also be a source of inner turmoil, expressing the darker aspects of your psyche.

Lilith in the 6th House: In the house of work and health, Lilith can manifest as a rebellious attitude toward daily routines and responsibilities. You might find yourself in constant conflict with authority figures or grappling with issues around control and perfectionism in your work or health routines.

Lilith in the 7th House: Relationships are a battleground with Lilith here. Deep fears of abandonment or betrayal might surface, or you could find yourself drawn to partners who bring out your darkest qualities. Relationships may feel like a power struggle, where intimacy is intertwined with control.

Lilith in the 8th House: This house is already about transformation and deep bonds, but with Lilith, it goes to another level. You might have an intense fear of loss or betrayal, or find yourself drawn to dangerous or taboo aspects of sexuality and intimacy. It's a realm of deep psychic wounds and transformational healing.

Lilith in the 9th House: Beliefs and higher learning take a dark twist with Lilith here. Your belief systems may include taboo or unconventional elements, and you might feel a deep sense of alienation in your quest for truth. There's a potential for fanaticism or an obsession with dark, forbidden knowledge.

Lilith in the 10th House: In your career and public image, Lilith can manifest as a fear of authority or a desire to rebel against societal expectations. You might feel misunderstood by the public or struggle with a public persona that feels inauthentic or oppressive.

Lilith in the 11th House: Your friendships and social circles may be impacted by Lilith’s darker energy. You might find yourself drawn to social groups that are unconventional or taboo, or feel like an outcast among your peers. Your hopes and dreams could also be tinged with Lilith’s intense energy, leading to a sense of disillusionment.

Lilith in the 12th House: In the realm of the subconscious, Lilith can bring up your deepest fears and insecurities. You might struggle with feelings of isolation or be haunted by fears that you can't even articulate. This placement often indicates a deep need for inner healing, as Lilith brings to light the darkest corners of your psyche.

🔮How I Write A Spell🔮

What Is The Point Of This Spell?: First, figure out what sort of spell you want to do. What is its purpose? What kind of spell is it? A glamour, for example. Might be the sort of spell you decide on. It may seem obvious, but remember to write this stuff down! I usually write these questions down and keep the whole spell making process recorded in my grimoire.  This is my own personal advice, but something I’ve learned is to consider if there’s another way you can accomplish whatever the purpose of the spell is without magick. I think of spells as last resorts to certain things, or as a booster shot of luck or confidence ect. But that’s just me. The Timing: When will I do this spell? This could be based off of the day of the week/time of day and moon cycle. Astrology stuff if you’re into that. I also like to do big spells on the Sabbats so if you celebrate them, you might try that. How Might I Prepare?: Will this spell have certain crystals, herbs, chants, sigils, what do you need to do and collect? Remember to research any ingredients used. Especially if its a big, or important spell to you. To me, research is just more intent! Here’s a compact list of some things a spell might involve as well, you might go through and decide what works and what doesn’t. This certainly isn’t everything you might put in a spell but it might help you narrow a few things down: - Colors used - Jars/Sachets - Sigils - Crystals - Herbs & Spices - Candles - Incense - Essential oils - Forms of divination, such as tarot, runes, or a pendulum - Knots - Chants - Magick waters, such as moon water What Will The Steps Be?:  if you know you want to do a glamour, once again as the example, and you want to involve candles, think about what that will actually look like. Tips & Reminders: - Cleanse yourself, the space, and anything used. - Ground yourself.  - Cast a circle, if you feel that’s necessary. You don’t have to though! - Set the mood. Do a spell past dark, light some candles, take a nice, long, hot, cleansing bath ahead of time. Drink some tea. Do some self care, or something that makes you feel as witchy as ever.  - If something feels right, using this ingredient over that, a certain time of day, or anything like that. Do it! This is your practice.  - If you’re not sure what to do, or what a spell should even look like, have a look at other similar spells. Before you even start writing your own, you might just substitute a few things because you lack ingredients or prefer something else from spells you’ve found.  - Wards are always a good idea - If sigil burning, or fire of any sort is involved. Be safe! keep some water nearby, do it on a fire safe surface, keep in mind how you’re going to keep this contained if something goes wrong.  Enjoy and have a lovely day 💖

Intro to Magic ✨

Intro To Magic ✨

Choose the purpose for the working

In magic it is true that you get what you ask for. It’s important to ask what you actually want. Before you do any magic, phrase your purpose in a single, clear sentence. Get rid of ambiguous wording and mixed meaning. It can be as specific or general as you want, just be sure you know exactly what you wish to accomplish.

Before you do magic make sure to check in with your self. Is the purpose of your magic ethical to your beliefs? Is the purpose of your magic going to require more energy than you have to give?

Ethics

There are many schools of thoughts on the magical implications of magic. These range from the idea that magic is a sin, to the idea that magic should have no restrictions because the the very purpose of magic is to do what you want, and ever idea between.

It is important to find your stance on magical ethics. It’s up to you to decide how you want to use your magic. Here are a few things ti consider when you are deciding whether to cast a spell:

look at the situation and gather as much information as you can from a reliable source

think about alternatives

consider your guidelines, values, and principles

test your limits and don’t discount your inner voice

make your own choice. you will have to live with it — right or wrong.

No one can make your choices and you can’t make someone else’ choices. Ultimately your ethical decisions —like your magic — comes from within you. Who you are — and who you will become — is something that only you can determine. It really is your CHOICE.

Limits

The limits of magic are complex and unclear, but there is a limit. Magic cannot break (or even bend) the ordinary laws of nature. Example: making objects float in mid air or making a duck bark. The effects of magical working will come gradually and naturally, not with a puff of smoke or the twitch of your nose. You will need to be patient with your work and try not to doubt the effect. The larger the area you wish to effect or the bigger more drastic the change you wish to make, the more energy you will need to put into your work. Your thoughts and ideas are unlimited but your ability to create the out you desire is limited by your personal energy. Before you try anything that requires energy be sure to make time to rest and recharge yourself.

Choosing the Correspondences

Correspondences can be used in your practice to add to your magical power. As you practice more you will be able to detect the subtle differences between various correspondences. Pay attention to these feelings, the more you recognize them the quicker you will learn. In some workings you may find it vest to use one correspondence and in others you’ll want to combine a little bit of everything. These decisions will come more naturally to you as you continue with your craft. You will discover along the way what works best for you and what doesn’t. Eventually, you will discover your own correspondences. Magic isn’t really about what’s right or wrong, its about what works.

Choosing the Materials

After looking at the purpose and symbolism you’ve chosen you’ll want to choose materials. Materials allow your intent to be viewed in a physical way. This can be overwhelming due to the fact that there are literally thousands of materials to choose from. Keep your work simple and convenient. Choose materials that harmonize with the purpose and symbolism you have in mind. There are plenty of resources to help you and with plenty of practice you will master this process.

There are some traditionally agreed upon associations for magical uses but don’t allow yourself to become tied down to those. If you have a strong pull to a certain material then us it! Your emotions and feelings are tied to your magic, the materials you use will enhance it. You can always start with traditional correspondences for you materials until you find what fits and feel right to you.

Herbs

There are so many types of plants in the world and each one could have it’s own meaning and associations for magical use.

Correspondences for Herbs

Crystals

As with plants, there are countless crystals, some more well-known than others. And each one has a different purpose for magical use.

Correspondences for Crystals

Colors

Colors range from bright to dark, deep to light, pale to vibrant, regardless of their value or hue, colors affect us. They invoke different emotional responses and as such, they can be used in magic as well. The magic of colors can be used in many different ways, and the use of colors in magic is only limited by what you want to use the color for.

Correspondences for Colors

Choosing a Method

After you’ve decided your purpose or what you want to have happen, decided what correspondences will help, and found the materials you need to bring your intentions into your physical realm, you are ready to work the magic. There are a few methods you can use to do this. This will depend on what form your craft will take. Whether you plan to make an amulet, brew a potion, burn an incense, perform a spell/ritual, or something else, you will need to learn how to combine the purpose, correspondences and materials.Magic cycles through various levels of intensity over time. Your magic can be more powerful, work faster or more effectively, when magical energy is high. We’ll look at few ways to figure out the proper timing for your magic.

Sun and Moon Cycles

The moon cycles through phases, from new to full and back in about a month. Magical energies are weakest at the New Moon. As it waxes the energies increase to a maximum when the moon becomes full. The energies will decrease as the moon wanes back to a New Moon. As such there are times when certain types are more appropriate than other times.

The New Moon: reflect, expand your consciousness, learn about your shadow self, work with your subconscious, dream work, let go of fears, change something radically, renew

The Waxing Moon: bless something you want to start, to increase health, to increase success, to increase wealth

The Full Moon: health, success, charging/cleansing objects, rituals in general, wealth, heart’s desire

The Waning Moon: get rid of a bad habit or sickness/disease, remove obstacles, finish something, banish, purify

The solar cycle is reflected in the change of seasons and repeats each year. Depending on latitude and other factors the dates of the changes in season may be different. Generally in the northern hemisphere the cycle of seasons follow the pattern below.

Tide of Sowing: Ostra to Litha beginnings and growth (spring equinox, March 21 — summer solstice, June 21) with a peak at Beltane (May 1st)

Tide of Reaping: Lita to Mabon completion and fruitfulness (summer solstice, June 21 — fall equinox, September 23) with a peak at Lugnasadh (August 1st)

Tide of Planning: Mabon to Yule preservation and taking stock (fall equinox, September 23 — winter solstice, December 23) with a peak at Samhain (November 1st)

Tide of Destruction: Yule to Ostra destruction and purification (winter solstice, December 23 — spring equinox, March 21)  with a peak at Imbolc (February 1st)
