I’m never quite sure if I’m put off by Doc or turned on by him... Although I’ve found that these two feelings are not necessarily mutually exclusive.

Thank you for the introduction. Hello friends, allies, and fellow Autistic people. The tone of my piece will be a little different today, but I’d like to start by sharing pieces of my story.
In my earliest memory, I am standing in a sunbeam. I move my hands so that the light scatters, becoming a golden glow, and watch the dust particles float like little cosmos and galaxies. I am three years old when a daycare employee grabs my fluttering fingers and squeezes so tight that tears make the world go dark.

J. K. Rowling and Neil Gaiman are such a funny contrast to me, like Rowling: Oh, and by the way, I put gay characters in my books. People: Is there anything... showing that? Rowling: No. Also trans women don't deserve respect People: wtf Gaiman: Here are some immortals that transcend all human concepts of gender and attraction who use a variety of pronouns, and also some clearly canon human queers. People: Are the immortals queer? Gaiman: That is an entirely valid way to view them. Other people: Ugh, pushing a modern woke agenda. It used to be- Gaiman: Fuck you
Don’t mind me. I’m just going to go over here and sob silently.
For their first anniversary, John takes Sherlock on a tour of ‘Their London’, going to all the places that hold significance to them and their life together, each tied to a specific memory. The Bart’s lab where they first met, Angelo’s where they shared their first meal and John subconsciously decided he wanted to live with Sherlock, The Landmark restaurant where Sherlock came back to John, past the house where a body was found from the case after which they shared their first kiss, bookshop where they were sitting during a stakeout when they said I love you for the first time, and so on. Finally, they end up at a bench overlooking the Thames at sunset, and for the life of him, Sherlock can’t remember the significance of it. That’s when John pulls him down into a slow kiss, and says “This is where I asked you to marry me”, then drops to one knee.
Saying someone shouldn’t be upset as others have it worse is like saying someone shouldn’t be happy as others have it better.
