Just come to my ask box and tell me stuff about yourself. Your pets. Your favorite music. What you had for breakfast this morning. Literally anything you want, I love making new friends
was in the shower and had the literal thought "fix-it fic is literally playing with barbies until you shape the narrative into something coherent" and tbh, that's kinda true for just fic writing and even original writing in general.
play with those barbies. make them kiss. make them kill each other. hurt them. comfort them.
smash those barbies together until you have a story you think is worth telling.
Read Cutting Teeth. It's insane and amazing and honestly so camp, and this woman named Rhea is one of the mains in it and is just so clearly The Problem at all times but it is treated like a poor trying mother who def didn't just try to commit several crimes.
can we PLEASE have more shitty women characters?
i don't mean shittily written women characters, i mean women characters who are just shitty people! just complete fleabags! terrible awful miserable pathetic wet mangy women. who engage in shenanigans and make selfish decisions and whose actions are unreasonably excused by the narrative. this is EQUALITY! this is LONG OVERDUE. give me fictional women who SUCK!!!
the sader + dovey + lesso (+ callis, before she leaves; + the shadow of evelyn sader) dynamic is one of my favourites ever. sader & dovey are good friends, enough that sader literally made her who she is (the crystal ball, the fairy godmother); dovey doubts sader and sader doubts himself in turn. dovey & lesso are. yeah. all that. lesso -> sader is disdain; is distrust; is thinking he's delusional but having to know by the end that he isn't. sader -> lesso is the knowledge that by bringing his sister back, he's going to ruin her life (and others' in the long run, but for now, hers); is guilt; is duty. out of all the teachers in the School they understand best what they're fighting for. they are the foundation, they are its heart.
and callis & lesso are friends, and find themselves in similar positions, only one has the chance to raise their child and one doesn't. the sins of the parent are the sins of the child, or are they? and callis & sader are. well. canonically they never interact. callis is the most important story sader will ever tell. they're coparenting. they both died for agatha.
and the sader siblings are worlds apart. and evelyn -> lesso is ruining her life just because she can; lesso -> evelyn is powerlessness, is futility. and callis & evelyn are two sides of the same coin, one who wanted love too little, one who wanted it too much.
Continue the tale... (It's not long, please try, I'd love to see where people take this)
I rush back out through the door covered in sparkly raindrops, my itchy feet sighing at the feel of the cool tile in the hallway. Doors of all shapes and sizes scatter the walls, each a monument frozen in time.
I quickly turn the knob of an emerald green door with a floating leaf splashed across the front, the seconds ticking away. I slip inside, scanning everything and lodging it into my brain
A tree-shaped coat rack draped with a frog raincoat in the corner. Lime green carpet growing crusty at the tips of each piece of fuzz. A dragon stuffed animal lying on its side next to the forest-colored bed upon which sits a small girl.
I jolt backwards, panic clawing at my heart as I swallow down a scream, my back snapping against the wall across from her. Her brown hair hangs limp and greasy, head tilted forward and sunken eyes closed. Collarbones jump out of her skin like knives sticking out of the top of her mint green pajamas. She’s so thin for a second I think she must be dead.
“I’m infected,” She whispers, voice like gravel on glass, bloodshot eyes flicking upwards to lock on me. Bile rises up my throat and I fling myself towards the doorway, hands desperately clutching at the doorknob and turning, turning, turning.
It doesn’t budge.
“S-Sick?” My voice wobbles dangerously as my head grows light, everything going sparkly and sharp around me, fingers slippery with sweat as they tug at the handle uselessly, desperately.
“Infected.” She repeats, and something tells me those are two very, very different things.
Bitches really be wondering whether they want their fav teacher to be their mom or their mommy like sorry but those are very different hun
It's me. I'm bitches.
Sometimes a family is a woman in STEM, her long lost twin sister, her boss, her 5 best friends who each own a different color of the rainbow, her token male friend, her queer-coded brother figures, and the radiant, ethereal mother figure they all share

“some people should never get married”
Currently obsessed with the idea of established-dovesso a bit after the movie with an annual Ever-Never Ball every year having a fierce competition as to which one can do the most epic prom-posal before the other. And like all the students know and are super into it, every year anticipating who's going to beat the other and get in the best proposal first and screaming their heads off when it finally happens. And it makes it so funny because now when Lesso suggests Dovey and her try out the wishfish and Lesso sticks her finger in it and it spells out "WILL YOU GO TO THE BALL WITH ME?" in giant sparkly letters Dovey groans because her plans are foiled and begrudgingly agrees, already plotting away for next year, but there's a little part inside of her that's still jumping around like a schoolgirl and it's clear in her eyes when she kisses her tall idiot to seal the deal. And each year they have to top each other, and it just gets more and more intense and ridiculous and I just love them so much oh my god.
