A/N: Hey everyone! Here’s the beginning of my new short and bittersweet fic! It’s Mary and Shannon, it’s canon compliant, and it’s their last evening together... If you want to read the whole story the link is at the end!
Shannon was ten when she first entered a confessional booth, in preparation for her first communion. She had no great sin to confess but a great many questions about God and Jesus which her local priest, in his benevolent patience, was kind enough to answer as best as he could. When she asked him who he spoke to when he had to confess something, the voice on the other side of the screen had come as chuckle:
"Well, I speak to God quite often. I know that He will always be here to listen. But when I do need advice, I seek out one of my fellow priests."
Some fifteen years later, Shannon still thought about that conversation, as she finally came to empathise with the older man. Though she prayed often for guidance, she always seeked out Mary for advice. Which made it all the stranger when Shannon began to keep things to herself. Mother Superion could tell. The other sister warriors could tell. And most of all, Mary could tell.
She had tried all she could think of to breach the subject. Talking about it in public hadn't worked. Talking about it in private had made the Warrior Nun clam up even more. So Mary had given up, which was quite unlike her. Even Lilith had teased her about it. Mary had glared at her and explained that Shannon would talk once she was ready. She truly hoped it would be tonight.
For a few years now, they'd started a routine on every Thursday night. If they weren't out in the field, then the two of them disappeared on Mary's motorcycle for a few hours. All sorts of rumors had started swirling up from their little escapade. Some of the sisters thought they were wandering the streets, beating up bad guys like two vigilantes. Others thought they rented a motel room – or, more luxuriously a hotel room, or better yet they had their own small apartment – where they could have really hot and loud sex away from the convent. Mary couldn't blame the sisters for all these stupid rumors. She and Shannon were so tight-lipped about what they did that she understood their curiosity. But this was their special thing, a Mary and Shannon alone thing, and neither would ever reveal what they were up to.
That evening, as Mary leaned against her motorcycle, holding her helmet in her hands, she almost thought Shannon wasn't going to come. It wasn't like they had a set time when they should leave, but they never met more than a couple of minutes apart, as if they could sense the other's eagerness to leave. She checked her phone again for the time. Footsteps echoed on the pavement. She looked up and spotted Shannon coming toward her at a hurried pace.
"I was beginning to think you'd stood me up," Mary shouted at her, partly as a joke and partly to her release her own nervousness.
"I'm sorry. I was with Father Vincent and Mother Superion, putting the final touches on tomorrow's mission."
Mary was quick to brush the subject of the next day's mission aside. This was their special night, which meant no work-related talk.
"I'll forgive you only if we leave in the next minute and a half."

I'm in the middle of writing a book but Netflix has forced my hand, so who's ready for an Avatrice Priory of the Orange Tree AU fanfic?
A/N: Hello everyone! I'm back with another multichapter story! This one is a canon divergence AU where Shin became Asajj Ventress' apprentice and Sabine became Fennec Shand's apprentice. As the two bounty hunters keep meeting, so do our girls. Here is an extract from the first chapter and if you want to read all of it, the link will be at the end!
Whatever conversation the thugs were having with the little girl was interrupted when the sound of Ventress’ boots echoed around them. The three thugs turned back to see her emerging from the shadow.
“Are you going to kill a child for a handful of screws?” she asked.
“Is she yours?” the thug holding the girl asked.
“She’s not. Call me a concerned bounty hunter.”
“She stole from our stash. Nobody steals from the Bolts. Nobody.”
“Ain’t that what bounty hunters do anyhow?” another thug told her, failing to be intimidating. “Hunting down thieves?”
Ventress stood in front of them, arms crossed. The kid looked at her with pleading eyes, green and bright with tears. Ventress would never let anyone call her soft, but she supposed that she must have mellow, at least a little, to be invested in the fate of this girl. She blamed Vos for most of it, and Omega, more or less.
“Put the kid down. Let her go. Take your screws and get lost.”
“No, we gotta teach her a lesson,” the lead thug insisted.
“You’ve spooked her enough. Let her go.”
“This is none of your business.”
Ventress did not move, but her refusal to walk away was enough for the thugs. The leader motioned for her with his head, and the other two converged on her, fists raised. Ventress sighed. They were going to regret it.
The first thug closed in on her with a punch. She dodged it with ease and kneed him in the stomach. Before he could recover, she grabbed his arm and dislocated it out of his shoulder. He fell to the ground crying. The second thug stepped back as he became more hesitant to attack. He glanced at his boss who huffed and threw the girl at his feet to motion for Ventress again.
“What are you waiting for?” he told his companion.
Reluctantly, the second thug charged her. She avoided his punch too and kicked his knee, snapping the patella in half. He hit the ground with a yelp, holding his broken leg. Ventress turned to the third thug, who pulled out a blaster on her. She was unimpressed, until he pointed the blaster at the girl’s head.

A/N: Hello everyone! I come bearing another addition to my Ahsoka season 2 and beyond series on this final day of the year! This one is rated E and it is about Shin and Sabine cleaning up Wren Stronghold. Here is the beginning and if you want to read the whole story, the link will be at the end!
The ETA-class shuttle landed on the frosted landing pad, its heat roasting the ice which had settled years ago. The spaceship touched the ground roughly, as a patch of ice beneath its legs gave way, splintering with a crack under its weight. Sabine grimaced. She remembered clearing the ice of this very landing pad as punishment for some trouble she had caused. Now, it, like all of Wren stronghold, had been left for nature to do what it did best: take over.
“Should we unload?” Shin asked from the co-pilot seat.
Sabine considered their options. They had brought many supplies to fix up the stronghold, and a lot of food, as they had no idea how long the repair job would take. But most of all, Sabine feared the boiler might be dead and unfixable, in which case they wouldn’t last the night.
“Let’s check inside first.”
They walked through the cluttered body of the long ship, where all their supplies were packed, and Sabine opened the hatch. As the ramp unfurled, the cold wind of Krownest infiltrated the ship. Sabine had not felt it in years. A familiar shiver ran over her body. Shin had seldom felt cold like this. She bundled deeper into her fur-lined coat.
The ground was slippery on the landing pad, which was to be expected. Not a single ship had been left behind. The whole clan had gone to Mandalore to fight the Empire. All of Clan Wren’s ships had been destroyed with their owners, in that same night of carnage.
Sabine walked briskly to the door, feeling the emptiness keenly. Shin looked around. Sabine had told her about the stronghold being near a lake, but she had failed to mention the snowy mountain range surrounding them and the endless forest of pine that lounged on their slopes. If she wasn’t freezing, she might have taken in the view longer.
Sabine broke the ice over the door panel with the butt of her lightsaber. Once it flipped open, she saw the inside wasn’t damaged. She could thank her mother for her impeccable maintaining of the stronghold. She pushed the emergency lever down, and with a groan hungry for oil, it lowered and opened the door.
The inside of the stronghold was dark. Sabine pulled a flashlight from her pocket and turned it on. At a first glance, she couldn’t spot any ice within. She hummed.
“There might be hope yet.”

Unfortunately the final chapter of I Can Wait for You at the Bottom will be delayed because AO3 is down for maintenance and I will be in class once the website is up and running again. I will do my best to post it before 6 p.m. Eastern Standard Time but otherwise it will have to wait until tonight... Sorry guys 😔
A/N: Hello everyone! I just posted the first chapter of this week's fic! It's a werewolf/werewolf hunter AU and it gets pretty bloody so if that's not your thing, don't worry! I will be back next week with a ton of fluff. Here is an extract and if you want to read the whole chapter the link will be at the end!
Shin was still in her sleepwear, an old band tee-shirt and shorts. She grabbed a mug from the windowed cabinet to pour Sabine her coffee. Sabine went to clean her hands first. Shin set the coffee beside the sink for her then passed a hand under her shirt to scratch her side. As soon as she realized what she was doing, she stopped.
“You could have woken me up,” she told Sabine. “I would have gone with you.”
“But you were sleeping so peacefully. I didn’t want to bother you.”
Sabine kissed the corner of her lips then picked up her mug. Shin continued to pout. Sabine knew her mood would only sour more as the day went on.
“I heard you dragging something.”
“A small stag. Hope you like venison.”
Shin ignored the joke and sat at the small vinyl table, grabbing her own mug of coffee. Sabine, still, was determined to lift her mood. She took her coffee to the table and sat down on the vintage chair.
“I still need to grab a few things from town,” she told the blonde as she reached from the box of cereals between them. “Do you want to come with? You can do some grocery shopping, pick what you want for breakfast tomorrow. We can get lunch at that diner afterward.”
Shin sighed through her nose.
“Fine.”
Sabine offered her a smile. She knew her girlfriend had only agreed to please her, and she appreciated it more than she could ever tell her.
“Hey. We’ve got this. Tried and true techniques. Nothing to worry about.”
Maybe it was the confidence in Sabine’s voice, or her beaming smile, but she finally managed to extract a little smile out of Shin.
“I trust you.”
“I know you do. And I trust you too.”
A/N: Hello everyone! We're back with another story from The Life of the Wolf, the Wren, and their Cub! Here is the beginning and if you want to read the whole story, the link will be at the end! Enjoy!
As Uschi grew older, Sabine and Shin felt more comfortable leaving her home alone for a few hours, especially to go on dates in the evening. Now that she was eleven, she knew how to cook for herself and how to feed Murley, and she knew she had to be in bed by a certain time, especially if there was school afterward. Her mothers trusted her not to burn down the house while they were at the restaurant, or the beach, or the bar.
That night, they came back around midnight after having a very fancy evening in one of the restaurants on the harbor. While Sabine had organized the date by claiming that it wasn’t for any special occasion, in truth it was the five-year anniversary of the day Shin had stabbed her. She didn’t want to make a big deal out of it, but they were used to sneakily celebrating anniversaries. They couldn’t agree on whether they should celebrate the first day they had kissed – as Shin kept insisting – or the day where they had officially decided to start their relationship – which Sabine preferred. They each organized their own dates for those anniversaries while pretending that it was a day like any other. It was more of a joke nowadays.
Sabine parked her speeder in front of the house and they climbed up the stairs. They had definitely gotten too much champagne, Sabine thought, but she didn’t mind. Decisions made in bed under the influence of champagne usually turned out rather pleasing. As they entered the house, clinging to one another, the ground floor was dark. Sometimes Uschi would fall asleep in front of the TV, but she wasn’t on the couch that day.
“Uschi,” Shin began to call into the silent house.
Sabine shushed her swiftly, then whispered in her ear:
“Don’t wake her.”
She pulled Shin’s earlobe between her teeth, making her girlfriend moan. Shin pushed her until Sabine was against the wall, though they were a little too close to the kitchen doorway for Sabine to use it for support. Still, Sabine drew her into a hungry kiss, all teeth and tongue as Shin grabbed her ass and pulled her closer, changing tactics once she saw the wall was inadequate.
The plan was always the same. Make out their way to their bedroom while also trying to lose as little clothe as possible in the process. Now that Uschi wasn’t so innocent to the way the world work, she had started to notice how insatiable her parents were for one another, and making disgusting faces. They had to be more careful, which made it all the more exciting.
They hadn’t even traversed the kitchen doorway on their way to their bedroom yet when the house’s wall-mounted communication device rang. They jumped apart as the shrieking sound spooked them. Sabine sighed, forehead falling against Shin’s shoulders. No one would be calling them this late if it wasn’t an emergency, and most emergencies were reserved for Sabine, whether it was from Hera, Ezra, or Ahsoka.
Sabine brushed a hand through her hair, hoping she looked presentable still, and she took the call. The face that appeared on the screen was not one she expected at all.
“Governor Azadi. I’m sure whatever emergency you’re calling about, it can wait until tomorrow morning.”
Sabine was about to end the call, but Azadi still had the time to reply:
“It can, but I doubt you’d like your daughter to spend the night in jail.”
Sabine’s finger hovered an inch off the ‘end call’ button. Azadi’s words sobered her up faster than a slap.
“What?”
“I’m doing you a favor by calling you, Sabine.”
Sabine still couldn’t understand. Uschi was in bed, not in jail. She glanced behind her at Shin, who had also heard. Shin also looked sobered. She rushed down the stairs to Uschi’s room.
Ava is the DM, obviously. She’s been dying to play and she convinced everyone to join. Despite that, she still manages to finish her prep an hour before the game starts (it happens to the best of us)
Beatrice plays an elf paladin. At first she had picked a human but Ava made that face that Beatrice interpreted as “not a very original choice” but really meant “I was sure you would pick that” so Bea changed it to an elf. Ava made the face again but she stood her ground and tried (and failed) to ignore it.
Camila went online and tried to find the best, deadliest combinaison. She picked a tabaxi rogue/barbarian. Sneak attack damages count as a crit when she does a reckless attack. Ava doesn’t know if she loves it or hates it.
Lilith took some time to coax but eventually she agreed to “one stupid game” and now she’s a regular. She plays a tiefling sorcerer. She almost took a warlock but realized her powers would be beholden to someone else and she couldn’t have that, so sorcerer it is.
In the time it took Ava to learn the base rules, Yasmine had already read all the add-ons (just in case). In the end, she picked an Aasimar wizard. She takes all of the notes. Not a word passes through Ava’s lips that she won’t transcribe in her notebook. It’s kind of scary sometimes.
Mary picked a half-elf (”they have a charisma bonus which gives a tactical advantage”) warlock (”I’ve got Eldrich Blast. When you’ve got Eldrich Blast you don’t need combat skills”).
Michael plays a dragonborn cleric because someone had to be the cleric and it certainly wasn’t going to be Lilith (”who cares if your character dies?”), Camila (”I already have two classes, a third one would be way too much”), Mary (”It would ruin my build”) or Yasmine (”I can be the cleric if you want me to”) after Lilith’s intervention (”Let Michael do it.”)
Mother Superion joined a game once. She played a human monk and she proved even more game breaking than Camila, somehow. She said “this game is easy” and Ava banned her (Beatrice had to talk her out of it).
Bonus: Shannon plays a halfling bard. Everyone thought that she would pick a fighting character, perhaps a paladin, but she knows all too well the weight of an oath on a person. She’d rather have fun.
