Nya: Just be careful, Lloyd!
Lloyd: *heading for the door* I'm always careful, Nya.
Lloyd: It's everything around me that's careless.
Dashi: Guan, we've been over this. You can't just punch a civilian!
Guan: But he called Chase's hair girly! I had to defend his honor!
Dashi: What? Guan, you call Chase's hair girly at least twice before breakfast.
Guan: That doesn't count! I'm his friend, he doesn't care what I say.
Dashi: Chase doesn't care what anyone says!
Guan: Well, I do!
Chase: Guys, look, I bought a new comb.
Guan: Tsk, you're such a girl.
Chase: Okay. Dashi, I was thinking you could turn it into a Shen Gong Wu!
Guan: You want to weaponize a hair accessory?
Chase: Why not?
Kai: You always act like you're more superior than me!
Nya: "Superior" has no comparison degree. It already means "better" and you can't say "more better".
Kai: I rest my case.
Dashi, about Wuya: Can I tell her she looks nice?
Chase: Sure.
Dashi: Can I tell her I respect her?
Chase: Maybe, if she asks.
Dashi: Should I show her an oil painting I made of us surrounded by our giant dragon and four rock monsters?
Chase: …
Chase: I’d save that for later.
I might be a little biased when it comes to Lloyd, but Arin lost some major rizz points in my book since the whole "Not from you" thing.
I mean, my dude, Lloyd specifically said when you first met he doesn't have what it takes and doesn't want to be a sensei, but you insisted. It was your idea.
It's not Lloyd's fault Spinjitzu came so naturally to him. It literally took him less than an episode because, yeah, he was that OP. What was he supposed to do? Stick you in a barrel and tryna hit you with a sword because that's literally how he did it.
If anything, you should have asked Kai to teach you. It took him a whole week and he struggled hard, so he might relate at least.
And people comparing Lloyd with Wu now. Lloyd might be a motivational speaker kind of teacher, but he didn't get Arin's hopes up just to shatter them like Wu did with Morro. He just had more pressing matters to deal with than finding Arin's parents at the moment, being the Green Ninja, the dragon conduit and all. And he didn't keep important secrets from him either.
Wu was always a strict teacher who wouldn't let the ninja catch a break and would punish them if they did. Lloyd tried to imitate him at first, but it was like him trying to imitate Garmadon as a kid. He's the exact opposite of that. Lloyd's patient, kind and understanding, and he's doing his best.
Does this look familiar?
Have Jack and Wuya ever helped each other with their makeup? Or is each of them just doing their own makeup at the mirror together as close as they'll get to that?
I think they're both too particular about their make up to trust the other to help, but they give each other advice from time to time. It's their favorite bonding time besides plotting how to take over the world
