Artoria Caster, first and foremost, will always tell you and only exactly what she wants and needs.
She doesn’t put on a brave face with you.
She doesn’t lie about what she feels like knowing what her future is going to be.
With you the mask she wears is placed to the side, and her truest feelings and fears are laid bare.
Her fear of failing the people who truly need her.
Her fear of what will happen after she fulfills her purpose.
Her fear of the responsibility that will inevitably come to her.
And because of this, you are the only person in the world, including Artoria herself, who truly knows what makes Artoria, Artoria.
Her ability to continue onward, no matter how much she stumbles, now matter how much she falls.
That being said.
This girl needs adult supervision at all times so she doesn’t burn the house or world down trying to make something for you, and no Oberon doesn’t count.
She’s very affectionate in private, however PDA isn’t something she really knows how to do nor is it something she’s entirely comfortable with aside from a side hug or linking fingers briefly.
Not to mention that physical affection, while a big part of how she shows her love, isn’t her main way of doing it.
That, for better or for worse, goes to acts of service and gifts.
I say for better or for worse because she will go to the literal ends of time and space for you.
For example if you offhandedly mentioned something that would be nice to have that’s old or an artifact of some sort, Artoria will activate her british skills, and just *Yoink* that bitch to give it to you, regardless of what happened to get it.
Luckily, you know Oberon.
Unluckily, you know Oberon.
But time to get back on track.
Artoria might be a bit pessimistic at times but that’s something to be expected considering her life, but if you manage to pull her away to somewhere for a moment and give her a little peck it’ll for one, completely shut her down even if it was only on the cheek, and two give her a ton of energy that will cancel out her pessimism, even if only for the day.
Because of this you are the first person Artoria turns to whenever she wants to “Plan” something, which she only ever does when she’s nervous and scared.
That means you and her “Plan” things out a lot.
In summary, you are a guidepost and rock for Artoria, a haven where she can be herself without fear or concern for who might see her, and because of that she will go to extremes to try and pay you back for simply existing and being with her, and no matter what you say to her this is unlikely to change, so keep her close so you can keep an eye on her, keep her loved so you can try and fix the pain her life has caused her, and most importantly, tell her the truth, tell her your honest opinion, tell her that no matter what happens you’ll always be in her corner.

Gudako: *whispers to Gudao* I thought Da Vinci-chan would say no...
Gudao: *whispers back* She did say she got some plans on her sleeve so...
Gudas's father: *bows* It's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Gudao's and Gudako's father
Gudas's mother: *bows* And I'm their mother. Thank you so much for taking such good care of Gudao and Gudako
Da Vinci: *smiling* Leonardo Da Vinci. The world's-- *got kicked at her leg* I meant, their Boss. I'm pleased to have both Gudao and Gudako as a member of Chaldea here.
Mash: *smiles, nods* That's right. Gudao-senpai and Gudako-senpai has been such amazing senpais, Sir, Ma'am.
Cu Chulainn: *grinning* They've always been a great help too! Right?
Gilgamesh: *smiling* Yes, despite their foolish dimwit capabilities... Those mongrel has been a great honor in serving me
Gudas's mother: Did that man just say 'mongrel'?
Enkidu: *pulls Gilgamesh in a chokehold, covering his mouth and smiles at them* Pardon him, please ignore what he just said
Emiya: *nods, smiling* That's right, Gudao and Gudako are hardworking and pleasant to work with was what he meant
Gudas:
Gudako: *whispers* I don't think I've ever seen them smile so much...
Gudao: *whispers back* That's some muscle training Da Vinci-chan was talking about
Your headcanons are amazing! Could you please do some about fem!master bringing Enkidu, who's been with them since Orleans, to the Babylonia singularity and meeting CasGil? How would their relationship go? And how it would affect wise king's attitude towards the master? Maybe trio interactions (I'm sorry if it's too specific)
note: im so sorry for being late anon :< was preoccupied but i hope you like this one as well! it will turn angst though nyehehe. I deliberately left it to be read as platonic or romantic
♡ Once Enkidu receives the news of a Babylonia singularity, he would have mixed emotions as he would be going back to his homeland yet it isn't his own, although he wouldn't show it outwardly.
♡ His master, who has been close to Enkidu would notice it even at the start as she knows Enkidu, so she would ask him about it.
"It is nothing of concern, Master." Enkidu says with a smile, trying to reassure her, "I had simply had thoughts regarding my past, but I assure you, it would be fine."
♡ With that, his master turns back with a sigh, often trying to make Enkidu ease but until realizing she could trust him with his own feelings and lets it be until he wants to be open with her regarding the matter.
♡ On the day of the rayshift, the two bravely face it and sooner or later encounter Ishtar (and therefore bonking her abit) and Caster Gilgamesh yet Enkidu is quickly faced with a problem upon them entering the singularity.
"There is someone who is the same as me, Master."
♡ While neither of them had understood it at first, it was obvious when they had spotted a being using chains as a weapon as well as the general confusion of the citizens and Ishtar herself upon seeing Enkidu, mistaking him for Kingu, who was an enemy.
♡ The master and Enkidu himself tries to reassure everyone that they aren't enemies and demonstrate Enkidu's personality differences from the more battle-hungry Kingu.
♡ As for King Gil, his affections for his friend will not overrule the priorities he has which is - keeping Babylonia safe. However, he will entertain you more as a form of respect for his only friend.
♡ Because of this as well, Gilgamesh sticks by you and Enkidu's side, making excuses and bringing Siduri a headache. Whether if its pushing back monsters or helping the people do chores, Gilgamesh would use it.
♡ Battles would also be followed by a more grand victory celebrations as per Gilgamesh's orders. Wine and good food would be passed around alighting you and the others servants' will to fight - to help the people, with you, Gil and Enkidu always being the last ones left.
♡ It is likely that Gilgamesh would be more open to you as you bought his real bestfriend back. Kingu would be much more aggressive in killing, you, the female master as Enkidu's existence makes his life null.
♡ This results in much more harder fights, with the master being pushed to the brim as she seems people drop lifeless easily as if they never mattered. However with Enkidu and Gil supporting you, you gain your senses to be able to fight back and defeat tiamat.
I’ve always struggled with social anxiety and self-confidence in different areas. It waxes and wanes in amplitude, but it’s always there. This affects my ability to do research as I struggle to do things like use the phone, send emails asking people to do things in a timely fashion, and finish work due to perfectionism. It was really bad a couple of years ago, during my PhD. We had official annual meetings with a member of staff to check on progress back then, which were a good idea but terrified the students. I always had mine with a member of faculty a lot of people are scared of. I’m not sure why, maybe because their courses were very difficult and they was a strict marker? I’d heard they’d mellowed over the years so maybe, like a fear of the dark, students’ wariness passed down the generations. Whatever the reason, I’d never been scared of them, and always saw them as a fair mind when it came to assessing my progress. I wouldn’t believe myself or my friends mostly, but I’d trust them to tell the truth. On my last meeting they knew I wasn’t very well. I always cried in these meetings through stress/lifting of stress, so true to form the box of tissues were ready and they offered me a fruit tea. I had the summer fruits. It was really sweet and calming, and I didn’t need the tissues that year. We spoke at length about why I was struggling within myself when my work seemed perfectly fine, even really good in places. And we got talking about anxiety when not at work. Turns out both of us have similar social anxiety problems! We both struggle to go in a shop with no or few other customers, because we hate being watched by staff. It’s really specific but I bet it’s common haha. We both hate using the phone, even ordering take away is difficult! Maybe this is why I wasn’t scared of them? At any rate, it was great to know I wasn’t alone, here was a full professor with the same problems I have, still doing science! But, I asked, how do you do it? How did you get this high up the ladder and not quit, or not take it out on yourself? How are you not anxious all the time? Oh, I am anxious, they said. I was really bad for years. Wouldn’t use the phone at all. But then I was made Head of Department. That’s terrifying! What did you do? Well I was still anxious, about using the phone for example. But I realised, the Head of Department uses the phone to call people to get things sorted quickly. And at the moment, I’m Head of Department. That’s the hat I’m wearing. The Head of Department picks up the phone and the Head of Department speaks to people to Get Things Done. That’s a role I’m performing, that’s all, and people expect me to be the Head of Department. And it helped, and now I can use the phone because I’m used to it. Hearing them say that was a bit of an epiphany. They weren’t saying “just suck it up”, it’s a complete reframing of the interaction.
YOU might not like using the telephone to ask so-and-so to do something, but Scientist-In-Charge-Of-Making-This-Thing-Work DOES call Collaborators to remind them, and then Collaborators can respond that they forgot, or they have it scheduled in for next week, because it’s their role to do something.
YOU might be scared of going into that shop, but a Potential Customer does go into shops and look around. Potential Customer might be asked by Sales Rep whether they need help, and Potential Customer can say just browsing. Sales Rep may watch Potential Customer browse, but that’s okay, because they’re waiting to perform their role. And when Potential Customer leaves the shop, they aren’t that role anymore, back to self. Interaction done.
YOU might not want to email that person to ask them for a reference, BUT a Final Year Student DOES send the email, because part of their role is to get a reference at the end. And the person receiving the email also has a role, and that is Someone Who Sometimes Gets Reference Requests, that they can response Yes or No to. Then Final Year Student can get their reference about Final Year Student or can move on to someone else. Interaction over. Slate clean. Sometimes we get so caught up we forget that many of the things we do are divorced from our own self, and we worry about judgements from other people. But in a lot of our interactions, especially at work or school, we have a set of roles and rules. When it’s getting really hard for me to do things like email, phone, or go somewhere, it helps me to think of that Professor’s first day as Head of Department, them sitting there with that weight of responsibility and internally screaming as they pick up the phone the first time, because that’s what Head of Departments do. If they can do it and normalise it, I know I can too. One day! :)
"Friends dont look at friends that way" COWARD. I look at my friends with awe in my eyes, my chest is filled with love, im glowing because i get to be near my friends. I look at my friends and i would give them my everything. SO SKILL ISSUE, look at your friends with all the love that you have
How about some hcs with Hans and Shakespeare having a master that's also writer.
Hamlet was the bane of my existence. End of story, literally.
Being writers themselves, Hans and Shakespeare are often found in Chaldea’s library and archive reading and studying written material from eras beyond their lifetimes.
One day, during their usual perusing, they stumbled upon you sitting quietly in a corner desk, pen and paper in hand. Of course, they cannot help but become curious about what you are writing.
You tried to hide your materials at first, after all, you were just a novice writer and now two of the most prolific and well-respected authors in the literary canon were now asking to read your manuscript. Having them read your writing would bring you nothing but unadulterated embarrassment at the difference in your abilities.
But after finally prying your current project away from your hands, rather than loosely skimming through the jumble of words, they immediately began discussing the thoughts and ideas you put into each sentence, giving suggestions as to how you could better convey your ideas.
Shakespeare, however tried to turn every single one of your projects, whether it be historical-fiction, romance, sci-fi, always tried to twist it into a bizarre tragedy.
Sure, the writing was beautiful and deeply symbolic, but you just could not see any reason for you to end a bildungsroman story with a grand, Stephen King-esque end…interesting enough, but not really what you had in mind…
Sometimes you ask them about their past works’ and give hypotheses as to why they wrote a character in a specific way, or why they used a specific setting.
When you asked Shakespeare about what his inspiration for writing Hamlet, and whether if Hamlet was truly mad, he just laughed and commented that sometimes analyzing too deeply answers nothing.
Just for fun, you, Shakespeare, and Hans sometimes writes stories of the servants in Chaldea.
You and Hans co-penned Gilgamesh’s New Clothes, a parody of his own work, and it was all fun and games until KoGil got his hands on the manuscript and carelessly showed it to his older counterparts.
Thus ensuing a pair of VERY angry Gilgamesh’s threatening to destroy Chaldea with Enuma Elish until you and Hans pitifully watched the manuscript burn in the incinerator.
Good thing you wrote an extra copy…right?
Just read @intrepid-fictioneer-7's analyis on the madness of Servants, and it's got me thinking about Fujimaru's mental state and some implications of the lore.
We do know that they were most definitely a regular human at the beginning of the story; however, lore and dialogue imply that this is no longer the case.
The event where Vritra debuts has her note that both Mash and you seem both human and not human at the same time. It makes sense for Mash, as she's a demi-Servant, but why Fujimaru?
And then there's a bit in Koyanskaya of Light's profile - "Koyanskaya had planned to incorporate the Foreign God into her eighth tail, and to use Chaldea's Master for the ninth." To become one of her tails, it has to be a "Monster not present in the history of humanity." I think that says it all, really.
Fujimaru has been in multiple situations very similar to the ones that gave rise to heroic legends, having faced down the absolute worst threats to Humanity several times over.
And not just that - the very nature of pruning Lostbelts means that Fujimaru has an incredible amount of blood on their hands; enough that Kali is intrigued.
They've gone through far more than any human should ever have to go through, and it's implied throughout the story and confirmed that by Ordeal Call that, even if they were to return home at the end of it all, they would never be able to return to a normal life ever again.
Hell, Ordeal Call II reveals that Fujimaru not only has the potential to become an Avenger, but the most powerful one of all.
What I'm getting at is that what if one of the reasons that Fujimaru is able to empathize and connect with Heroic Spirits to such a degree is because they think like one, having fought through many of the same circumstances and now afflicted by that same madness?
Sure, they may not be as broken as some of those that they have under their command; but, as some have said, it's likely at this point that Fujimaru is the quintessential human to an utterly inhuman degree.
The way I interpret that is that he does things that would seem normal for a human at a glance; but if one were to examine it, they'd realize that Fujimaru's ability to do that goes far, far beyond the limit of what any normal human should be capable of.
For example, Humanity may be known for the indomitable spirit in the face of overwhelming odds; but for Fujimaru, it's seems that it's ontologically impossible for them to give up no matter what they're facing when even the most determined of humans would have given up.
A human, no matter how righteous, may still fall into evil if the circumstances are extraneous enough - but we actually see Fujimaru put into such a circumstance - and refuse to do so.
They can't ever stop moving forward, because if they do, it means all the innumerable sacrifices that have been made during their journey would have been for nothing.
Sure, it may be more subtle, but the underlying madness that would make a heroic spirit's mind incomprehensible to a regular human is still there.
"Fujimaru Ritsuka" may still be there, but it's buried under the being that is "Humanity's Last Master."
Enkidu - 3rd sprite redesign
Once Gilgamesh was done it was a no brainer his pal had to follow, so here’s Enkidu’s own “more Sumerian-looking” redesigned sprite.
