Hello! Can you come up with headcanons for Kingu (evil clay child from the Babylonia singularity (if you got there or watched the anime)) being summoned to Chaldea (so that's an au?) and developing a bond with master that eventually grows from caution to platonic (or even romantic) feelings? There's no content on Kingu, he definitely needs more love ~
I put half of it under a line because it gets long aff
For a moment Kingu is probably confused as fuck and hyper-panicking and ready to stab a bitch (instinctively, Ishtar).
He was created the Son of Tiamat during a Singularity, using Enkidu’s corpse. Were “Kingu” EVER summoned as a Servant, HE certainly wouldn't be the one summoned. In this HC, Kingu thinks he, Kingu from Babylonia Singularity, doesn’t exist as a Servant.
Jalter: first time, bitchface?
Then VOILA, he gets summoned by the shitty little human he met in the Singularity. You know, the one that tried to punch his face out and almost succeeded?
(fuck the anime, the Master canonically beats Goetia’s face in with Mash’s shield, they know how to break peoples’ teeth in)
Kingu as a Servant does remember the Singularity. Is high-key guilty about Siduri.
Kingu actually spends most of the time trailing after the Master. It starts out as being a sort of almost antagonistic (one-sided) relationship, where he makes scathing remarks, taunts them, tries to get a rise out of them, uses them to Avoid™ the Babylonia Servants, and looks down at Master in any way he can for being an Old Human.
He gets unsettled when the Master only smiles at him and hands him some pie.
Still grudgingly shoves the pie into his mouth.
Eventually, Kingu goes from antagonistic to neutral, relaxing around Master, to becoming increasingly fond of Master in his own way. Eases out on the biting words and doesn’t actually mean them anymore when he yells or snipes at Master.
Actually gets somewhat clingy to Master. Kinda like a cat. Kinda low-key tsundere and will probably let Ishtar take a shot at him before ever admitting he was fond of the Master.
Outwardly still looks like he disdains Master and scoffs at them a lot, but if anyone were to say something about Master he would just skewer them. How dare they? To the human who went up against him without flinching? Were they looking down on him?
shhh Kingu baby we know you care
Has an aneurysm whenever the Master does dumb stuff (which is a lot of times), because humans are so frighteningly fragile and holy shit you dumb human get down from that eldritch god altar right this instant or I will force you im not fucking joking-
stop randomly falling asleep and NOT WAKING UP
Reaches a realisation that he, as the only New Human, should take it upon himself to guide this dumb and weak Old Human and making sure they don’t die by tripping over a rock.
Kingu is a dumbass in human emotions like 95% of the Chaldea Servants. Takes him a while to realise “oh shit I care for this dumbass human” and freak the fuck out. Or might never realise it and keep thinking he’s just doing stuff because he wants to.
Kingu has no qualms about murdering humans and other such creatures if they piss him off, tbh. His low empathy makes him capable of cruelty, brutality and even painful deaths, and he knows this and doesn’t care.
At least, he SHOULDN’T care, but he subconsciously reigns in his brutality whenever he’s with his Master. Of course, he still rips apart through enemies and is scarily efficient as a Weapon but at least it isn’t as inhumane as in Babylonia.
Definitely is one of the Servants that advocates for the death of the entire population of mages from the Tower.
When their relationship gets close enough, the Master tells them of TIamat’s final moments. Kingu goes quiet and then thanks them for not raising their blade against his Mother. Kingu did love Tiamat, despite going against her at the end.
Cried a bit during Gilfest.
Enkidu is zen about Kingu and is pretty fond of him.
Might have to do with the fact that Ishtar has an aneurysm after seeing the two of them together.
.
Guda is honestly such a chaotic force of nature.
Servants are fully defined by their legends and interpretations. Vlad is a good example, since more people know him as the monster Dracula over the ruler of Wallachia, and as a result manisfests more as a vampire because of it. Servants are temporary existances created from expectation to serve as tools. Servants, Mages and even the Throne all agree to this. Servants aren’t people, they can’t be people because they are Heroes, they can’t be free.
And Guda steps all over that.
Guda takes these echoes of people and helps them become complete, lets them step out of their legends and enjoy new things that they couldn’t because they were always constrained by their duty.
And honestly, that’s probably what Romani saw in them. Why Romani believed so much that Guda would be able to save the world. Because Guda is a simple, pure hearted person that is able to bring out the best in others. Someone able to unite servants not because the mission was so important, but because the servants found the Master important. You can even see this in the Solomon raid cutscenes, where almost all the servants came to help solely because they liked you enough to do it.
Guda humanizes their servants, frees them to be more than just legends, and that’s why they can help you save the world against Goetia. Because the future could only be made by human hands.
Very brave of me to make a set of illustrations that's 90% hands
Anyway. This is about my personal theories/headcanons about the vision requirements
EDIT: I made a post elaborating on my theories/headcanons! Check it out if you wanna know a bit more :D
EDIT (again): Just so you know (bc ppl keep mentioning it in the tags), I am well aware Archons don't personally give out visions😅 The Archons' hands are supposed to be more symbolic, since it IS heavily implied they have a subconcious affect on who gets one, even if they don't actually have any active say in it
I’ve always struggled with social anxiety and self-confidence in different areas. It waxes and wanes in amplitude, but it’s always there. This affects my ability to do research as I struggle to do things like use the phone, send emails asking people to do things in a timely fashion, and finish work due to perfectionism. It was really bad a couple of years ago, during my PhD. We had official annual meetings with a member of staff to check on progress back then, which were a good idea but terrified the students. I always had mine with a member of faculty a lot of people are scared of. I’m not sure why, maybe because their courses were very difficult and they was a strict marker? I’d heard they’d mellowed over the years so maybe, like a fear of the dark, students’ wariness passed down the generations. Whatever the reason, I’d never been scared of them, and always saw them as a fair mind when it came to assessing my progress. I wouldn’t believe myself or my friends mostly, but I’d trust them to tell the truth. On my last meeting they knew I wasn’t very well. I always cried in these meetings through stress/lifting of stress, so true to form the box of tissues were ready and they offered me a fruit tea. I had the summer fruits. It was really sweet and calming, and I didn’t need the tissues that year. We spoke at length about why I was struggling within myself when my work seemed perfectly fine, even really good in places. And we got talking about anxiety when not at work. Turns out both of us have similar social anxiety problems! We both struggle to go in a shop with no or few other customers, because we hate being watched by staff. It’s really specific but I bet it’s common haha. We both hate using the phone, even ordering take away is difficult! Maybe this is why I wasn’t scared of them? At any rate, it was great to know I wasn’t alone, here was a full professor with the same problems I have, still doing science! But, I asked, how do you do it? How did you get this high up the ladder and not quit, or not take it out on yourself? How are you not anxious all the time? Oh, I am anxious, they said. I was really bad for years. Wouldn’t use the phone at all. But then I was made Head of Department. That’s terrifying! What did you do? Well I was still anxious, about using the phone for example. But I realised, the Head of Department uses the phone to call people to get things sorted quickly. And at the moment, I’m Head of Department. That’s the hat I’m wearing. The Head of Department picks up the phone and the Head of Department speaks to people to Get Things Done. That’s a role I’m performing, that’s all, and people expect me to be the Head of Department. And it helped, and now I can use the phone because I’m used to it. Hearing them say that was a bit of an epiphany. They weren’t saying “just suck it up”, it’s a complete reframing of the interaction.
YOU might not like using the telephone to ask so-and-so to do something, but Scientist-In-Charge-Of-Making-This-Thing-Work DOES call Collaborators to remind them, and then Collaborators can respond that they forgot, or they have it scheduled in for next week, because it’s their role to do something.
YOU might be scared of going into that shop, but a Potential Customer does go into shops and look around. Potential Customer might be asked by Sales Rep whether they need help, and Potential Customer can say just browsing. Sales Rep may watch Potential Customer browse, but that’s okay, because they’re waiting to perform their role. And when Potential Customer leaves the shop, they aren’t that role anymore, back to self. Interaction done.
YOU might not want to email that person to ask them for a reference, BUT a Final Year Student DOES send the email, because part of their role is to get a reference at the end. And the person receiving the email also has a role, and that is Someone Who Sometimes Gets Reference Requests, that they can response Yes or No to. Then Final Year Student can get their reference about Final Year Student or can move on to someone else. Interaction over. Slate clean. Sometimes we get so caught up we forget that many of the things we do are divorced from our own self, and we worry about judgements from other people. But in a lot of our interactions, especially at work or school, we have a set of roles and rules. When it’s getting really hard for me to do things like email, phone, or go somewhere, it helps me to think of that Professor’s first day as Head of Department, them sitting there with that weight of responsibility and internally screaming as they pick up the phone the first time, because that’s what Head of Departments do. If they can do it and normalise it, I know I can too. One day! :)
"you read a lot, right?"
"yes!"
"what are some books you've read recently?"
"uhh i don't remember"
“I make sure of your end.”
→rough sketch
Your headcanons are amazing! Could you please do some about fem!master bringing Enkidu, who's been with them since Orleans, to the Babylonia singularity and meeting CasGil? How would their relationship go? And how it would affect wise king's attitude towards the master? Maybe trio interactions (I'm sorry if it's too specific)
note: im so sorry for being late anon :< was preoccupied but i hope you like this one as well! it will turn angst though nyehehe. I deliberately left it to be read as platonic or romantic
♡ Once Enkidu receives the news of a Babylonia singularity, he would have mixed emotions as he would be going back to his homeland yet it isn't his own, although he wouldn't show it outwardly.
♡ His master, who has been close to Enkidu would notice it even at the start as she knows Enkidu, so she would ask him about it.
"It is nothing of concern, Master." Enkidu says with a smile, trying to reassure her, "I had simply had thoughts regarding my past, but I assure you, it would be fine."
♡ With that, his master turns back with a sigh, often trying to make Enkidu ease but until realizing she could trust him with his own feelings and lets it be until he wants to be open with her regarding the matter.
♡ On the day of the rayshift, the two bravely face it and sooner or later encounter Ishtar (and therefore bonking her abit) and Caster Gilgamesh yet Enkidu is quickly faced with a problem upon them entering the singularity.
"There is someone who is the same as me, Master."
♡ While neither of them had understood it at first, it was obvious when they had spotted a being using chains as a weapon as well as the general confusion of the citizens and Ishtar herself upon seeing Enkidu, mistaking him for Kingu, who was an enemy.
♡ The master and Enkidu himself tries to reassure everyone that they aren't enemies and demonstrate Enkidu's personality differences from the more battle-hungry Kingu.
♡ As for King Gil, his affections for his friend will not overrule the priorities he has which is - keeping Babylonia safe. However, he will entertain you more as a form of respect for his only friend.
♡ Because of this as well, Gilgamesh sticks by you and Enkidu's side, making excuses and bringing Siduri a headache. Whether if its pushing back monsters or helping the people do chores, Gilgamesh would use it.
♡ Battles would also be followed by a more grand victory celebrations as per Gilgamesh's orders. Wine and good food would be passed around alighting you and the others servants' will to fight - to help the people, with you, Gil and Enkidu always being the last ones left.
♡ It is likely that Gilgamesh would be more open to you as you bought his real bestfriend back. Kingu would be much more aggressive in killing, you, the female master as Enkidu's existence makes his life null.
♡ This results in much more harder fights, with the master being pushed to the brim as she seems people drop lifeless easily as if they never mattered. However with Enkidu and Gil supporting you, you gain your senses to be able to fight back and defeat tiamat.
