SOME CONTEXT FOR CANON-DIVERGENT PARTS OF THIS COMIC:

I started this last year when Stitch's Tropical Turbulence first dropped on the JP server, but because of schoolwork only ever had the chance to finish it this month. So as you may notice there are stuff, like the acorn bracelets being from Mel instead of Silver, that I just drew based on theories about it at the time being retconned now.

I also knew that Malleus was probably just gonna be almost the same developmental age as he was now during Sil's childhood but I wanted to also draw him as a kid. Just because🔥🌺

Pulling Petals

Alastor x reader

He loves me…He loves me not….He loves me….He loves me not.

The mantra repeating in my head as I pulled the petals from the hellish flower.

“So this is where you are……My dear, what are you doing?” A staticky voice asks. Alastor appearing behind me, bent down and head beside mine as he looked over my shoulder down at the tortured flower in confusion.

“Just a silly game.” You replied coolly, not lifting your gaze from the flower. Fingers still pulling at the petals.

“Don’t say that your lack of attention to your responsibilities is due to a new beau.” His voice becoming disgusted as he leans back, eying the flower in distaste.

At my answering blush, his smile strains into a snarl. Before a forced laugh echoes in the dreary courtyard. “Darling, surely you jest! Do you not recall how you fell into my service? Your lover afterall SOLD you to me. I just can’t believe you’re getting so worked up about some….guy.” He growls out the last part his eyes flickering to radio dials.

“This one is different! He’s honest and sweet-“ You start saying before he cuts you off.

“Please.“ he drawls sarcastically.

“And he’d never do anything to hurt me!” You argue.

“He’s a guy!” He finally snaps.

At the show of his anger, you quiet. Looking over his dangerous expression. His eyes still flickering and antlers expanded. A single tear falls and you rush out of the courtyard back to the hotel, abandoning your flower…. Only 3 petals left.

(Yeah I kinda based it off the hades scene, but it fits for Al’s character!)

A much needed fresh start 🍃

Between my health and being in a bit of an art slump, this piece took forever to finish 😩 I wanted to draw the moment of Lilia deciding to cut his long locks, letting go of his past as general, and embracing his new role as a father. I was inspired by the moment from ATLA when Zuko cuts off his hair and starts out on a new journey to find his place in all the events unfolding around him. I love that show so getting to use it as a reference was fun and I hope y’all enjoy it!✨

Signs a Character Is Falling in Love

ෆ They Start Noticing the Small Things. The way the other person laughs. How they stir their coffee. The exact shape of their handwriting.

ෆ Hyper-Awareness of Touch. A brush of fingers becomes a full-body event. They replay it later. On loop.

ෆ They Look for Them First in a Room. Just a glance. A check. Not because they care. Obviously.

ෆ Jealousy They Can’t Explain. A spike of irritation when someone else makes them laugh. What’s that about? They don’t want to know.

ෆ Their Defenses Go Weird. More sarcasm. More teasing. Or less of everything. Silence, suddenly.

ෆ Uncharacteristic Generosity. Lending a book. Making a playlist. Bringing coffee “just because.” They’re not in love. They’re just nice.

ෆ They Get Irritated by Their Own Reactions. Why do they care so much? Why are they thinking about this? Why won’t it stop?

ෆ They Start Mirroring. Their speech patterns shift. Their posture echoes the other person. It’s subconscious. It’s terrifying.

ෆ They Avoid Eye Contact More Than Usual. Because they’re afraid if they look too long, the truth will pour out.

ෆ They Rehearse Conversations in Their Head. Over and over, what they could say, what they wish they said. They’re not in love. Nope. Definitely not.

So like Rollo's VA has actually sung Aloha E Komo Mai before and this gives me psychological damage from the whiplash

That honestly doesn’t surprise me. Disney is HUGE in Japan, so it’s not uncommon to find VAs and other celebrities covering Disney songs.

Midorikawa-san’s (Lilia VA) renditions of Part of Your World and I See the Light have been stuck in my head for a while now. He’s done a lot of others as well (it makes me laugh when he says, “Can you feel the love tonight” in English 😭 That feels so Liliacore of him)!

I found Kamiya-san’s (Rollo VA) version of Aloha E Komo Mai and had a listen. Now I have the image of Rook with a ukulele in tow and doing a little hula dance, trying to encourage Rollo to get into the groove! And it’s … surprisingly working?!
