Do you know what I think about TOO MUCH?
Who in Minas Tirith is cutting Boromir’s and Faramir’s hair and going “and now you need some little pieces to frame your face”?
Faramir has curtain bangs, essentially.
And this dedicated barber decided Boromir needed soft pieces to offset his strong jawline/fall appealingly over one eye.
I just want to understand their thought process.
I don't know what this is or why I drew it. But here it is.
just want to shout out to the silmarillion fandom for being so active and supportive. i’ve been part of much larger fandoms and found the interest and engagement, specifically with fan creations, so much greater here; even with fewer people in the fandom, so many people comment on fics and in the tags of posts, and ask questions and contribute to discussion - it’s really such a great little community, i love you guys 🥺
Elrond: *Feral*
Maglor: Why is your one feral?
Maedhros: You think this is my fault?!
Maglor: Mine's learning math!
Maedhros: Stop talking about them like they're toys, Maglor. Elrond's just learning different things right now. He'll get to math when he's ready.
Maglor: Yeah, if math involves how many time you can bite something.
there are no bad takes in fiction and literature. art is subjective and every person will read a book differently. this should not only be accepted but celebrated. it’s really cool tha-
someone: i don’t like frodo. he’s literally so whiny an-
BOOM!! shot. dead. gone.
…anyway, as i was saying
Quick sketch of Samoth from Emperor
My attempt of making Varda. I have such a love hate relationship with her, but it all comes down to a deep admiration towards her character. I believe (at least in the bounds of my own headcanon) she always had many traits in common with Melkor himself, but lacked the urge to create, destroy and take for the sake of proving herself to anyone, even to herself. She wielded the power to take as much as she wanted to but she never chose that path and instead helped Manwë with his fair and just rule. That level of maturity and foresight is something Melkor could never achieve. To understand your own desire and capabilities and still holding yourself back for the sake of greater good (and also the level of security she had with herself) is what makes Varda such a unique and beloved character for me. I hope my art didn't do her injustice.
Couldn't be done without the support of my dearest friend @gracefallingart
