God, I’m getting flashbacks to the discussions about John’s stag party in the BBC Sherlock fandom.

I just said this to ahillmadeof42dogs , but I decided to also make a post. Honestly sometimes it really does feel like the writers are ruining the show on purpose. I think it’s more likely that they just don’t care at all, and are doing whatever will bring in the most viewers in their opinion. Which duh, it’s a business, but the lack of deference to the integrity of the story and characters that were set up for 6+ is still insulting and sad. Supernatural has lasted so long because of it’s loyal fanbase, overhauling the show is a big “fuck you” to that fan base.

Losing the blue collar Americana vibe, brightening the show, subtly changing up the wardrobe, giving them apparent endless funds, as we never see them hustle or scam. Ripping the boys apart, having Dean nod along to a song about Mary’s death, taunting us with the fake samulet and then immediately getting rid of that too, the boys staying separate even when they leave the bunker, Dean doing “Bitch” “Jerk” with everybody except Sam, now someone random dude being allowed to call Sam “Sammy”? Switching out urban legends for fairy-tales and straight up fiction (Oz). All this shit on top of the lack of scary villains and general OOC-ness? What’s left of the original show?!

I never want to see Jensen (or Jared) pander to the Destiel/Cockles shippers again. It's not a legitimate selling point for the show, as the ratings regarding the most recent episode has demonstrated. Most regular viewers aren't shippers at all. They just want action/adventure, which SOAPernatural was once able to deliver, but no more.

I knew it would be cheesy. I was hoping it would be the right kind of cheesy. My hopes were fulfilled beyond my wildest dreams.

If you are planning to visit this place one day, and don’t want spoilers, let me just offer you the following advice: Go early. At noon, when we were finally admitted after waiting for at least half an hour in the broiling sun, the queue was already down the block. Since the museum itself takes about half an hour (we did it in 20 minutes due to time pressure…it’s a long story), I don’t recommend waiting in line for it any longer than that. It’s a tall, narrow, old-fashioned townhouse, so they don’t let in more than about 15 people at a time.

All right. Let me tell you about this ‘museum.’

Of all the dumb rivalries fought in the SPN fandom, “which wife do you prefer” has to be the dumbest. It’s even dumber than ship wars. I’ve been in several fandoms, and I’ve never ever seen fans give so much time to random bit players (which is what Gen and Dan are, despite the fact they’ve starred in the show, hurray for nepotism). It’s embarrassing. “Oh no, X-Files went downhill after S6, let’s send the actors’ respective others death threats”...that public outcry never happened. These ladies are nobodies. They’ve influenced nothing. Why does this fandom strive to give these already inflated egos an even bigger platform to demonstrate how pathetically out of touch with reality they are? The lack of perspective is puzzling. “OH, MY QUEEN! YOU’RE MARRIED TO MY FAVORITE C-LISTER!”

hahaha ...Danneel and Gen both post ab8 SPN ending around same time. And, the differences between both the post are so glaring. While one fakes an excuse of being dejected and spew some bs tagging only her husband. Other has a courtesy to thank the crew for the opportunity. i had more respect for D when i didnt knw her or whn she wasnt on social media that way i was able to overlook her attitude

Yeah she does this. She has a long habit of talking about the show like Jensen is the only one there. It just comes off very disrespectful and incredibly selfish. Same thing happened for the 300th party:

  I really don’t know why it’s so hard to acknowledge at least one other person than your own husband especially when you claim to be close to others on the cast. It’s very strange and I don’t like it one bit.

Maybe you should check out the term “fan service”. Destielers queerbait themselves, they don’t need any help from the show.

After seeing this anon ask, I realized that I didn’t have the actual gifs available. So I found them in this biased article. 

Do they not pay attention to J2 panels because this is like “so……” I love how they’re always rubbing in our faces things we don’t give a shit about. It’s so fucking funny.

I’m confused. What exactly do Cockles shippers believe transpired in what I presume to be a public restroom?  Besides the disposal of bodily waste from whichever orifice needed attention?

I was going to say a few things – number one, back to my wife and Rafa. I wanted to just give a shoutout to him. He had an unbelieveable year himself, we had a great battle, and it’s because of a guy like him that I feel like I’ve become a better player as well, so he could well - could very well have been here as well tonight and standing here with this award…An incredible friend, and an incredible athlete, so just like to give a shoutout to him.

I don’t want to rain on anyone’s parade (I’m a Fedal believer through and through), but they showed the ceremony on Eurosport Norway and not wanting to wake my housemates I listened to it with headphones. What I’m hearing is “back to my rival Rafa” (because Rafa was a fellow nominee who was featured in the video shown prior to the presentation), not “my wife and Rafa”. I’m perfectly willing to be challenged on this point (by native speakers with better headphones, lol).

Which doesn’t take ANYTHING away from the moment. He clearly had decided to mention Rafa first because, well, that’s what he does these days. He’s just at the forefront of Roger’s mind at all times. He clearly cherishes their relationship both on and off court so much. Roger has become incredibly sentimental about their rivalry, and very invested in maintaining the relationship after their careers end.

Seriously, if your first instinct upon meeting a famous person (whether it be musician, actor, athlete, whatever) that you like (or dislike, for that matter) is “what can I do to make this person uncomfortable” you need to step back and reevaluate your priorities. Pulling a prank like that would not be “hilarious”, but inappropriate and disrespectful. 

I reported the company too, for encouraging harrassment. Hopefully they’re just trying to get some free publicity and nothing will come of this, because it could turn out incredibly ugly and embarrassing for everyone involved. 

I was thinking of this prank some shippers intend to pull on Jensen by bringing him some lube for the San Diego comic con. That's a funny idea, don't you think so? I ship J2 and nothing else, but still it would be hilarious. He's such a prude and would bring him out of his shell more.

No, I don’t think it’s a funny idea.  Not at all.  

This isn’t about shipping at all, this is about making actors uncomfortable and I will never support that, never.

Does that sound like Jensen to you?  The guy who has had plenty of sexual scenes on Supernatural?  

First of all, Jensen is not a prude.  Jensen is more reserved, yes, but not a prude.  Second of all, Jensen doesn’t need to be out of his shell anymore.  He can come out of his shell as much or as little as he wants.  He’s perfect just as he is.  If he wants to come out of his shell more, he will and he will do so on his own terms.  But he doesn’t have to, not by any means.  

This whole prank is bizarre.  When I first read it I thought it was some sick joke just on the internet, but when I saw that some people were actually planning on doing it I felt sick.  

Jensen has done so much for this fandom and yet the Destiel shippers can never seem to respect him.  That’s right, the Destiel shippers.  I don’t like to ship hate - actually, I don’t ship hate and I’m all about letting people ship what they want to ship.  But in cases like this shippers take it way too far and it is almost always the Destiel shippers in the Supernatural fandom that take things too far.  Jensen has repeatedly expressed his dislike and discomfort of being asked shipping questions and even stated that he was thankful Dean and Cas had less scenes together in season 9 because it cut down on the shippers being insane and analyzing every little thing that happened.  

If I found out any J2 or Wincest shippers were doing this I would report, block, and completely disassociate myself from those particular people. 

But ignoring the shipping aspects of this prank, the fact that human beings think that it is okay to do this to another human being is disgusting.  I mean really, who first had the brilliant (please note the sarcasm) idea to associate lube with ships, especially ships nominated for the fucking TeenChoice awards?  TEEN CHOICE.  Like yes, I’m sure all the 13 year olds that voted even know what lube is.  It’s utterly bizarre and annoying as hell.  

Respecting actors is something all people should do.  Respecting actors who do as much as Jensen does for all of us should be a requirement.  This man has been working on this show for over a decade.  He has dedicated his life to it.  He has turned down big movie rolls and other rolls for this fandom.  He has attended conventions and put up with repeated questions and millions of pictures for fans.  He takes time away from his daughter for this fandom.  He puts everything he has into his acting for this fandom.  He has shed blood, sweat, and tears for this fandom and yet certain people still can’t find the decency to give him respect.  It’s baffling really.  

If people actually go through with this prank, I honestly don’t know what I will do, what Jensen will do, what Jared will do, or what SPN will do.  I have already reported the lube company on Twitter that is encouraging this.  That’s right, they are reported and blocked.  Yes, I am one measly person but hopefully others are doing it as well and it will at least mean something.  

Respect our actors, respect their wishes, respect their privacy, and consider others before you even think of doing something so stupid.
