i swear i’ve read this in like a thousand different fanfics before

I just remembered that when I was a kid I put serious thought into an idea for an edgy villainy themed department store, like as a genuine career goal I devised to be completely within the realm of possibility and if I remember correctly my idea included:

Satirical ads and signage just bragging about being a soulless corporation

Scary uniforms with optional helmets for employees

Only sinister music ever plays

Large, obvious security cameras with visible laser sights

Menacing but technically correct signage, like “corpse flesh” for meats

A pet section with only snakes, spiders, scorpions and piranhas

A moat outside with live alligators. Bass Pro fishing shops already actually do this so why not.

Overwhelmingly large horror dvd selection, all other genres condensed into a smaller section presented kinda like the weenie hut from spongebob

“Skeletons” as an entire department

Carnivorous plant nursery in the garden section

The store holds very frequent raffles and contests but the prize is always knives

My reasoning besides it being fun was that everyone was probably sick to death of businesses pretending to be wholesome and caring about you and people are also just bored in general so the spectacle itself might pay for the cost of its gimmicks and actually all the regular items would be as cheap as possible

artemis: pretty hair, animal lovers, cottage in the woods, hunting, loves small plants, believes in mythology, forest witches, wants the best for nature, wolves, competitive, archery, moonlight, vintage t-shirts, stargazing, sharp features

hera: old souls, hot tea, fashionable, wants to travel, oversized sweaters, high ponytails, very loving, intelligent, coffee shops, old libraries, bookshelves, tiny houses, genuine smiles, passionate, photography, starry skies, bookworms

persephone: bruised knees, very kind, misunderstood, very artistic, black coffee, believes in fate, midnight hours, astrology, leather jackets, red lips, thorns, springtime, writing stories, procrastinating, messy but lovable

These are my steps!:

1. Find a reference (cuz I suck at drawing bases like other talented artists)

2. Sketch out the basic shape of the peoplez

3. Sketch in details of your people :3

4. LINEARTTTT! I use different colors because I don't like using straight black anymore.

5. Base colors

6. SOFT SHADING MY FAV PART!!

7. Shell shading that matches the color of the lineart.

8. Other details (like the dark shadow over them and the blue shine from Mcree's robo arm)

Fandoms by how they’d die in a zombie Apocalypse

In The Flesh: first to go, tried to befriend the zombies

Welcome to Nightvale: second to go, purposefully became zombies

Sherlock: got fed to zombies by other fandoms for being a know it all prick all the time

Doctor Who: caught and eaten by the Hannibal fandom during an argument among themselves

Torchwood: died avenging Doctor Who fandom’s death

Hannibal: mistaken for zombies while eating someone and killed by Supernatural fandom

Marvel: dies being unnecessarily heroic

DC: dies trying to prove they could survive the thing Marvel died doing

Homestuck: sacrificed to hoard as a distraction

Star Wars: killed by Star Trek in the midst of peace negotiations

Star Trek: killed by one of their own, sick of how much everyone hates Voyager 

Harry Potter: eaten by zombie after they attempted to defend themselves with a spell

Supernatural: almost survived the whole thing before sacrificing themselves under the belief they’d come back

Walking Dead: survived the whole thing

back to school reminders:

your grades don’t define you

mental health is a priority

not doing some homework assignments isn’t the end of the world

turn things in on time even if they aren’t completely done

you don’t need a perfect GPA to go to college

apply for scholarships

drama is exhausting; try to avoid it

ask for help when you need it

you aren’t stupid for not knowing everything

not every friend is a real one

teachers aren’t always right

everyone makes mistakes
