I feel like you should know that your art has singlehandedly inspired me to take up digital art again, do you have any tips for starting out?

Omg thank you so much, that is really wholesome and I am glad to hear I was able to inspire someone! The number one tip I have and it is a very predictable one but IT IS PRATICE! There is no running away from practice! Just keep drawing and YOU WILL SEE AN IMPROVEMENT! However, the way I learned to draw was by looking up a bunch of artists I like online and discovering videos and resources! Day 3 of Malevoversary 2024! The Guilt (and also Addison in some kind of way)

Here i wanted to do something without lineart, more like a painting

I know there are still a lot of mistakes! But i wont progress if I wont keep trying and get out of art block every time

And yeah more of the textures, but mostly pastel brushes!

I didn't listen to Q&A yet but judging by the reactions Malevolent went about the following way:

Harlan: I'll make an evil entity posess this guy and sprinkle some curiosity and other stuff onto it just for funsies

The audience: LOVES John

Harlan: Ok this didn't go according to plan... No idea why they love him so much but fine, he's not ending up as a villain, let's explore another route. BUT I'll make ANOTHER, properly evil John, they'll sure won't be able to stand him!

*adds A LOT of genuinly sympathetic stuff to the character*

The audience: YELLOW IS UNDER OUR PROTECTION HE'S OUR CHILD *loves Yellow probably even more fiercely*

Harlan: The f-... WHAT am I doing wrong???

(Jk I'm pretty confident at this point the guy knows exactly what he's doing 👍 But he also writes Kayne the ultimate troll and that's a thing to remember)
