and while we're on the subject of luigi mangione, FREE NATHAN MAHONEY (who stabbed his company's ceo during a meeting)! the reason you may not have heard this name is because the police clearly do not want to make the same mistake they did with Mangione by allowing him to become a symbol. let's show our support for Nathan Mahoney, who looks exactly how he should in his mugshot— proud of himself

edit: the stabbed was the company’s president* not ceo, and the company (Anderson Express) manufactures vehicles for the US military

edit 2: to add on, the US military at this time sends much of its supplies to apartheid Israel in the genocide and ethnic cleansing of Palestinians from their country. this company was indirectly but most certainly harming and killing Palestinians.

You can literally make anything and anyone problematic if you try hard enough seriously give me people and things and I’ll make them all “problematic” right now.

I really try not to be a conspiracy theorist but I’m seriously flip flopping on whether or not I believe Luigi Mangione actually did it, on one hand this guy’s digital footprint is too vast to not be a real person with real motive, but on the other hand the circumstances of how they caught him are so odd that it just doesn’t add up, like, he wore very nondescript clothing and a mask the day of the shooting, suggesting he doesn’t want to be identified, despite this they were somehow able to identify him at a hostel in different clothing without a mask, he not only fled the scene but allegedly fled New York with a fake ID that the police recovered, several days later they found him in Pennsylvania carrying around all of the evidence in his backpack, including a manifesto, gun, and fake ID, the police also claim he had somewhere between $8,000-$12,000 in his bag, yet when asked about it Luigi claims he had no idea where the money came from and suggests it was planted (which raises several more alarm bells because if this “evidence” was planted then what else could they have fabricated to “catch” this guy?)

this not mentioning the fact that I find it really odd that this guy didn’t digitally publish his manifesto and instead chose to carry a physical copy of it around for days

this all could mean that he wanted to get caught but if that’s the case why go to Pennsylvania at all? why not just stay in New York?

I will say, though, that I think some of this can also be explained by this comment on Reddit:

edit: I realized I forgot to mention this part but it’s also so suspicious how everyone, the police, the media, whatever, are all 100% certain that Luigi Mangione did it, I’ve seen so many high profile cases where cops do press conferences and say “this is America, the suspect is innocent until proven guilty!” yet they’re not even calling Luigi a suspect, they’re outright saying he is the shooter and that he did do it, that’s just weird to me

I think the blond interpretation from the Clone Wars series was because those were predominantly New Mandalorians, of, uh, Kalevala? Or Sundari. The Mandalorian sector has several planets with several moons, we were only getting a peek at one specific population. Or, conversely- we can consider that the ethnic homogeneity of the New Mandalorians was a feature of result of their politics. Perhaps Concordian folks are both darker skinned AND more likely to prefer their armor and older ways. Perhaps the Core-influenced politics DO skew humanist, and that's reflected in the New Mandalorian's population. They're a specific political faction in a specific locale. (Or they were saving their animation budget for Jedi backflips.)

I love when the clones are somewhat mandalorians by culture but seriously if I have to read one more time “the mandalorians were all blond and pale, thin and slander, not like us, the vod’e were too broad with dark skin” mandalorians adopt absolutely anything and everything why do you make the clones feel like they can’t ever be accepted as mandalorians cause of their ethnicity??? This galaxy is the epitome of diversity, racism against clones exist, specism exist, but at least wait for the empire to write about racism between humans pls
