first post :) marketable plushie warmups from the other night....
Here’s the full version of Dr. Goodfriend’s explanation of why Rose Tyler is the most important companion to the Doctor and why he’s in love with her. You’ll have to open the images to read the full text.
This is part of a book called Doctor Who Psychology and this particular chapter is by Dr. Wind Goodfriend who is a social psychologist and university lecturer who has written multiple textbooks of her own, including one on intimate relationships. Needless to say, if anyone knows who the most impactful companion the Doctor ever had was, it would be her. There’s also other aspects of the Doctor’s attraction to Rose explained in this chapter, but I felt this was the most important.
Doctor Who “Aliens of London” 1x04
After a busy week, finally beating my writer's block!! Finished the chapter I've been wrestling with for what feels like ages
the irony of the master being almost always shorter than the doctor and having to look up at them when talking
I think it would be really funny if the doctor went full dark side and the master immediately is like "wait....oh my God this is weird go back" and then starts scheming on how to make the doctor care about humanity again. he thought it would be sexy but the doctor is really good at evil and the master is shaking like 'please have empathy remember empathy you love empathy'

As Gregor Tento awoke one morning from uneasy dreams he found himself transformed in his bed into a gigantic insect.
Something I only just considered is how beautiful the 9th Doctors regeneration speech is as an arc conclusion. "You were fantastic. Absolutely fantastic. And you know what? So was I?"
A doctor so full of self hatred and regret, ends with an acknowledgement that he is still good. Rose reminded him of what he was. He was fantastic.
Welcome! Huge Ninth Doctor nerd, as you can probably tell. he/they. Do a lotta Doc Who writing over on Ao3 under the name Artron :3c
