Desi dark academia moodboard set in Bangalore, India

This is something that is very close to my heart. Most of this is taken from places I have been to and things I've experienced. There arent a lot of typical "desi aesthetic" photos here because Bangalore is a place where everything is jumbled up and has created this wonderful atmosphere of new meets old.

It's Amazing To Know Just How Much Our Faith Would Grow If We Spent Less Time Telling God About Our Problems

It's amazing to know just how much our faith would grow if we spent less time telling God about our problems and started speaking words of faith over those problems instead.

In my storm I would always complain about my feelings, but nothing changed. I complained about what I lacked, but nothing changed. I would complain about how things looked like they were not going to workout, but still nothing changed. But I realized that nothing was changing because my words were not changing.

God knew how I felt, what I lacked, and how things looked - not only was He fully aware, He was the One in total control. He wanted me to understand that, and start speaking words of change into my situation instead of just complain.

If the hair on our heads are numbered, then every word we speak must be recorded. If God is listening, and you can bet the world He is, then He wants to hear words that will cause Him to move, and nothing will do that like words of faith.

So speak to your situation words of faith and be consistent in doing so. If you know God has opened a door for you that no man can close, then confess that!

If you know your latter days are going to be greater than your former, confess that!

If you know God is working your situation out to your advantage, confess that!

Confess words of faith and watch how things begin to change in your favor!

A Gentle Reminder For When Things Don’t Feel Okay. The Sun Will Shine On You, And The Moon Will Smile

A gentle reminder for when things don’t feel okay. The sun will shine on you, and the moon will smile at you, and things will feel okay again with time. ā™”

reading books like the secret history is always such a wild ride, because i'm fully aware that it's a criticism of aesthetic hedonism and the elitism of academia, and then i'll read a line like " if we are strong enough in our souls we can rip away the veil and look at that naked, terrible beauty right in the face; let God consume us, devour us, unstring our bones. then spit us out reborn" and i go absolutely fucking feral.

Is it Possible for an Idea to be Beyond Your Skill Level?

Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā  I think writing as a skill is often underappreciated. In that, I mean I think even writers hold ourselves to a standard that no other creator does. Out of all the skills or hobbies, it’s probably one of the least physical ones, which is often seen as the ā€œbenchmarkā€ for skill, or the limiting factor in someone improving something.

Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā  For example, musicians get more nimble and can reach their notes quicker and more accurately, allowing them to play more difficult pieces. Athletes get stronger and gain in endurance, allowing them to score more goals or otherwise go farther in the season with their team.

Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā  I see writers all the time who believe they should be able to do anything because they don’t have that physical benchmark to limit how far they can go, and then the draft doesn’t come out how they wanted it to, and they get discouraged.

Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā  Here’s my take, writing as a skill is just like any other. It needs practice. It’s not something you’re either born with or not, it needs to be developed and strengthened.

Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā  With that in mind—I promise your idea isn’t beyond you. No one is ever going to finish a perfect draft on their first try—that’s never how anything works, and it has nothing to do with how ā€œtalentedā€ you are.

Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā  Rewrite the scene until it’s capturing what you want it to. Rework that character until they are who you need them to be. Edit until your motifs are coming through. It’s all practice, every draft is another practice towards nailing the end product. Do you think artists nail drawing hands on their first try? What about on their tenth try?

Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā  So why are you holding yourself to this idea that it’s taking too many drafts to perfect?

Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā  It’s okay to keep trying. If you’re really struggling with realizing a concept, take it out of its context. Write the character you want to see in different situations separate from your project. Read how others have done something similar, take notes. Gather sources and inspiration for what you want to do. Reach out to other writer friends for advice.

Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā  Overall, don’t not write because you think it’s beyond you. With a little bit of work and practice, there’s no story you can’t finish.

Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā  Good luck!

Most people crave for perfect hair, perfect face, perfect body or millions of dollars.

But I crave for your arms around me, your head on my chest, whispering, "I love you" into my ear as we lay there at 1 am.

This thought saddens me because I have a constant ache in my heart that craves for your love, but you don't even know I exist.
