Past Formula 1 Racers: Osella | Riccardo Paletti (1982)

It’s been thirty-six years since Riccardo Paletti’s death. Paletti had only entered in nine Formula 1 races when he died at the Canadian Grand Prix on June 13th, 1982 at the age of twenty-three. He had a very professional approach to his F1 career (more so than most) and admitted that being moved up to a F1 team frightened him. He was the second fatality of the 1982 season, coming only weeks after Gilles Villeneuve’s.
