I present, my headcanon:

In Haiti Shuri starts having dreams about swimming in the underwater garden. The dreams start to change into her being In a slightly different garden with Namor and kissing him. the dreams are vivid and it pisses Shuri off to the point where she thinks Namor is behind it somehow so she calls him using the shell to a beach. Shuri is like "whatever your doing, stop it" and Namor is like I have no idea what your talking about please don't call me for nothing. Then Shuri explains her dreams and Namor is like yea all that happened. Obviously Shuri argues saying she only remembers the underwater garden but then realizes she doesn't remember LEAVING the underwater garden. Namor tells Shuri that he took her to a part of the garden that was above water since there are some plants that can't be completely submerged. He says that when she took off her swimming gear she acted differently 😏 (later we find out that Shuri was having a reaction to being around a bunch of plants that no human has ever been exposed to ie THE PLANTS👏MADE 👏HER 👏WHOREKNEE!) also apparently she made some promises (🫠🫠🫠)while in this part of the garden. *whispers* this is why Namor is as mad as he is during the attack on wakanda she made out with him, made promises and then ran off.
