Ladies, please normalize being high maintenance. Keep your standards high, expect people to climb to reach them. Tell them that yes, you do plan on spending your money, your time, and your energy on yourself first. Unabashedly tell people “no” with no explanation. When they ask you “who do you think you are” tell them that you’re you. And that is enough.
Mood 2019
Refresh yourselves with Christ's living water 💙 He is the only one who can quench your thirst.
2019 is the year where I’m bold, brave, put myself out there and chase after my passions, even if it’s incredibly scary at times. I’m going to withhold nothing, and give my everything. I know the risks will eventually bring rewards. I know God can do it and God can use me. Amen.
Dear sis, there should be so much Jesus in you men are intimidated by your faith and heart. So much purity, so much conviction and love that your life calls them upward to be all God wants them to be to take your hand. Your life should draw men who are living Godly lives who can love you as Christ loved the church leading her in all truth.
Don’t settle because you are growing. Jesus lives in you and you are amazing.
When no one knows me, You know, God.
When no one is there for me, You are there, God.
When no one hears me, You hear, God.
When no one cares for me, You care, God.
When no one fights for me, You fight, God.
When no one supports me, You support, God.
When no one tests me, You test, God.
When no one comforts me, You comfort, God.
When no one loves me, You love, God.
When nothing is, You are, God, who will live and reign forever and ever. Amen.
Till this day I’m still upset I never got to do ballet when I was younger- I find it so sweet that my family members even remembered how much I wanted to be a ballerina and ‘go to ballet school’ even the ones I hadn’t seen in over 10 years remembered. Idk maybe God was saving me from damaging my body somehow lol put I still watch YouTube videos of ballet recitals and I feel a little crushed but I mean 17 shouldn’t be too late to start right? But that’s if I find any time...
Embrace Grace is a church-based organization that allows single mothers to prepare for new lives with their babies and seek support among fellow women. There are several participating churches with this program in both GA and AL. https://embracegrace.com/find-a-group/find-a-group/
Birthright International is a secular branch of pregnancy resource centers who offer consultation services, referrals for aid and other forms of help for free, and I found several in GA and AL. They have a 24/7 crisis hotline and search function for finding centers in your area on their front page. https://birthright.org/
Sista Midwife is a black birth advocacy group that catalogues practicing midwives, doulas, and wellness practitioners of color around the US. There were PAGES of results for GA and AL. Because medical treatment of black mothers is poor especially in the south, any of these ladies can help you get the care you need and also help you find needed resources. https://www.sistamidwife.com/
Birth Without Fear is a fantastic all around birth community, made up of women from all backgrounds and challenges. They provide positive birth stories, share support and advice, and there are several support groups in Facebook as well. They have a website (birthwithoutfearblog.com) and also have an active public page on Facebook.
Get Your Care has a fantastic US map of where to find federally qualified health clinics and other places for women in crisis pregnancies. You can check them out here: getyourcare.org
And feel free to search this blog as well, with all kinds of informational and resource-based posts for people wanting to know their options and rights as parents.
Some of these resources are pro-life, others are not. But all of them have a passion for helping women and their children find the care and support that they need. If this makes you angry, feel free to scroll on and make your own post about it. 👍🏼
