I’ve never been so obsessed with something like with this series. Stroud is a genius. He was already my favorite writer with the Bartimaeus trilogy, and now is my fav person in the world.

Marc (Oldest)

-weight of the world on his shoulders, is trying to be Responsible

-mom (khonshu) makes him do all the work

-trying his best to keep everyone’s lives separate but failing because the other two won’t listen

Jake (Middle)

-everyone kind of forgets he’s there till he acts out

-“Marc is married and Steven is a vegan… I’m gonna ask Dylan out on a date to a steakhouse :D”

-chaotic energy, interrupts the other two to kill a bitch

Steven (Youngest)

-spoiled, his finding out about them being killers is completely accidental, he’s been the one living a good life set up by Marc

-Baby

-“mom said it’s MY turn with the body” “we don’t actually talk to mom” “she said it’s my turn, Marc”

Coming from a state champion baker:

If y’all use a decent box mix and use melted butter instead of vegetable oil, an extra egg, and milk instead of water, no one can tell the difference. I sure as hell can’t. 

Also, if you add a little almond extract to vanilla cake, or a little coffee to chocolate cake, it sends it through the roof.
