My Prayer to Brea, Earth Mother

O Divine Brea, Mother of the Earth, I stand before you in humble reverence, wrapped in the embrace of your fertile soil. From the essence of your being, all life springs forth, a testament to your boundless creativity and nurturing spirit. I honor you, the great earth goddess, who breathed life into the barren and brought forth the bounty of the world. O Brea, sacred nurturer of flora and fauna, may your green gown and wreath of abundance inspire my soul to recognize the beauty in every flower, every tree, and every creature that graces the earth. Fill my heart with gratitude for the gifts you bestow, and let me walk softly upon your land, tending to your creations, as you tend to us all. In recognition of your divine majesty, I offer you incense, a fragrant gift that carries my prayers skyward, rising as a humble token of my devotion. May its smoke mingle with the gentle breeze, whispering my gratitude and love into the vastness of your realm. With every offering, strengthen the bond between your spirit and mine, guiding me to honor the sacredness of all life.

O Brea, Goddess of Fertility and Creation, bless my endeavors with growth and vitality. Let the seeds of my aspirations take root in your nurturing soil, flourishing under the warmth of your embrace. As the cycles of life flow through me, may I carry forth the legacy of your creativity, crafting a world filled with harmony and abundance. In the echo of the passing seasons, I celebrate your divine decree, O Brea, as you give birth to Herne each spring, restoring warmth and life to the world. May this cycle of renewal inspire me to embrace change and transformation, as I, too, am a part of your grand design. Let your rhythm guide me through the dance of life, reminding me to cherish each moment of growth and decay. O Mother of the Gods, as the earth and her creatures are sacred to you, may I learn to honor and protect the delicate balance of this ecosystem. Let my actions reflect your teachings, embracing the interconnectedness of all beings. Together, as children of Brea, may we foster a world imbued with peace, love, and respect for the marvelous tapestry of life. So shall it be, as I stand in the light of your nurturing presence, the Earth Goddess Brea.

My Personal Prayer to the Aetennii

O Aetennnii, Guardian Kii of the Bowynn cemeteries, I raise my voice in reverence to you, protectors of the sacred tombs, vigilant spirits that dwell amidst the resting places of the departed. With wings like the breeze and hearts firm as stone, you guard the hallowed grounds. Hear me, O cherished Aetennnii, your forms small yet mighty, circling the thresholds of the departed. I call upon your presence to shield the graves from harm, natural and man-made alike, lending your vigilance to the bones that lie beneath the earth. Together with Heron, deliverer of the dead, may you guard against decay and disturbance. In homage, I offer these sacred words, placing images of your essence at the gateways of remembrance. May the likeness of your wings inspire serenity in the hearts of mourners and honor those who have returned to the soil. I lay my gratitude at the entrance of each tomb, seeking your favor upon the treasures of memory contained within.

O Aetennnii, I beseech you, protect this sacred ground, ensuring that the sanctity of the resting places endures beyond time. When spirits wander, let your watchful eyes remain vigilant, preventing sorrow and safeguarding the peace that dwells among the stones. As I walk among the graves, may I feel your gentle presence guiding my respect and reverence. I celebrate your essence, O Aetennnii, protectors cloaked in feathers, embodiments of vigilance in the face of forgotten peril. Let the souls who find their peace beneath the earth be cradled in your care, their stories whispered through the rustling of leaves and the songs of the wind. In your sacred duty, may I find solace, O Aetennnii, for you are the guardians of history and memory. As I honor the departed, I pledge my respect to the grounds you protect. May the Aetennnii thrive in their charge, forever gracing the cemeteries with love, vigilance, and the whisper of wings. So shall it be, in the realm where the living and the departed coexist in peace.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS: Myst's Tools of the Trade

QUESTION: Do Myst's use wands and staves like Witches?

ANSWER: In short the answer is "Yes." However a true Myst learns at the starts of knowing that the roof of all magic is in themselves and that should be enough. In the Bowynn Tradition a Myst may have a wand to amplify their powers. So, a Thavos [wand] Vlest [rod] or a Thald [staff] is commonly used. Usually a Myst will have two: one of projection and one forwarding & drawing out. However, mysts know very well, they have this power in them already. A wand is used in more urgent needs, like healing, injustice, cursing and warding off a malicious person or Tii.

The Elements / Tau Retammas

The Elements / Tau Retammas

Balance / Bia

The final and uppermost point on the Numatam is Bia {Balance}. Blanace is the inter-connectivity of all things to each other and how they balance each other out. Without Balance, chaos would take over. Like-wise, withing Chaos, Order would become overwhelming bring no excitement. Bia was and is the great creator, Unification, Endings and beginnings, Duality, Action and Reaction, Force, Power, the force of life and the divine creator of karmic law and balance Bia itself. It's from Bia all things came to be - Gods and mortality alike. So, it is from the element of Balance that we learn balance itself. That we cannot have one without the other. We learn of Yin & Yang, Polarity and Duality. We learn that we sometimes need the help of an opposite. Without the villain, we cannot have the Hero. Without a beginning cannot enjoy the ending accomplishment. Bia is the blank canvas and the completed picture. The front cover of a book to its back cover. Bia is the collective of ingredients and the completed meal. We create, learn and nurture from Bia. And we learn that everything in the world and the universe is ruled by the balance of Bia's law. Being that Bia ‘was’ before everything else, Bia is the great unseen and therefore the path to balance is a path of mysterious black. Bia {Balance} has no fixed "Station" as it's something that IS all around and all encompassing. Its rules all the other elemental stations: The growth and decay of the forest, the head of the river and its dwindled creeks, The burning flame and its soot. The gale of a wind down to its breeze, the day and the night. Bia teaches us NOTHING is forever and there is balance in all things, even if we do not also see it. The path of Bia is black, wrapped in shadow and mystery but it is never a path to be feared. It’s the path of creation and change.

Bowynn Gods: Jayleen Jarra

Jayleen Jarra  (Jay-leen Jar-rah)  Goddess of the healing arts and medicinal herbalism. She is one of the daughters of the god Owenn and sometimes her sisters and her are said to be female Kii; referred as The Sisters Jarra. Primarily Jayleen is indeed the goddess that rules or the healing properties of herbs and the making of medicines. She is also a patron of pharmacists and medical scientists.

There are no sacred tales of Jayleen or her sisters outside of their constant vigil over mortals. Jayleen is said to be seen at her father’s side or out in the wild, always looking for new medicinal herbs. Jayleen’s own chamber in Alaway is a massive chamber of every herb, flower, root and wood known to mankind, filled with ground herbs, oils, salves and balms.

Jayleen is described as a young goddess with dark hair and a dress of green. Her Hlad is also green, detailed with images of herbs and medicinal flowers. While some have seen her with a staff in hand, most of the time she has been seen with an herbal basket or medicinal bowl in hand. When not seen in this form, Jayleen will take the form of a bird. Offerings to Jayleen are herbs, flowers and incense.

A Prayer, A Spell, A Curse

May the immortal gods one and all,

From axis to axis, from pole to pole.

From the heavens above, to far below.

Red face demon you have been charged guilty

Guilty from crimes against the gods, spirits and humanity,

So hear me gods far and near

I cast this spell to restore balance and to abolish fear

This spell has no reason nor want to come back to me

For what I cast is justifiable and will never harm me.

With your help O gods this Spell I bestow.

Make its strong, make it impervious make it so.

Protect the children of love and peace,

From the Abrahamic demon's destructive feast.

Smite the red face demons' evil wherever they stand,

Remove them all from our beloved mortal land

And where once where red demons walked this land

Replace them all with love and compassion I demand

Evil and hatred I now bend and control

I send you back to Hell's infernal hall!

Satan's evil son I now control and command

I remove you and yours from this mortal land.

Death to you red faced monster of evil and plight

I vanquish you with this spell I cast this night.

Back to hell you go from where you were sired

Back to Hell and Satan's brimstone fire.

And for every milli-ounce of harm you create,

100x100 fold will come back to you. This I dictate!

Death to you and those who serve you!

Death to you and those who serve you!

Death to you and those who serve you!

Death to you and those who serve you!

Death to you and those who serve you!

Death to you and those who serve you!

Death to you and those who serve you!

Death to you and those who serve you!

Death to you and those who serve you!

Bowynn Shrines {Tymons}

In the Bowynn tradition, shrines {Tymons} are often abundant throughout the home. they are mini altars where small tributes and offerings are left, and prayers can be spoken at. Having at least one shrine is common, often to the house patron deity. But having several shrines is the norm: One in the foyer or entry way, one in the kitchen to the hearth gods, one in the bathroom for cleansing and healing and one in the bedroom. Having one outside the house is common and one in the garden. The shrine design is that like a house with for sides. This represents Alaway, the hall of the family of gods. Inside rests the statue icon of a deity. The shrine will usually set in a nook in a wall but if there is no such space in possible, a small shelf is used. And here there is placed a single candle that is lit when praying and a small incense burner. Normally there is space left over to place a flowers, a small offering and/or of a small vessel for libations.

During holidays all these shrines are decorated with garlands or a wreath over them.

My Prayer to Daekk, Lord of Fortune

O Daekk, Glorious Child of Wealth and Fortune, I stand before you, seeking the embrace of your bountiful gifts. You, who dwell in the splendid chambers of Alaway, amidst treasures adorned with lapis and gold, I beckon your innocent spirit to grace my path. With your golden locks and amber eyes, you embody joy and prosperity, guiding us through the currents of abundance. O Divine Infant, transformed by the wisdom of Anhur, grant me the clarity to see beyond mere appearances and superficial riches. Let your laughter ring out amidst the clinking coins and flowing grains as you dispense blessings to all, untainted by bias or pride. May the warmth of your spirit fill the hearts of those in need, that they may also know the sweet taste of fortune's favor.

In humble reverence, I lay before you offerings of coins, fragrant incense, and the sweet milk of the sacred herd. As the mice serve as symbols of fortune, I send forth votive gifts in their likeness, invoking your protection over my endeavors. With these offerings, I present play money inscribed with my deepest prayers, to be buried within the earth alongside a seed, so that as the plant sprouts, so too may my fortunes flourish. O Daekk, from your heavenly cradle, nurture my ambitions and aspirations like the rich soil of Alaway that bears fruit in due season. May I not only seek abundance for myself but take inspiration from your benevolence to share with others in need. Let my hands be open to receive and my heart expansive enough to give freely. As I summon your playful spirit, I pledge to judge not by wealth nor appearance but to celebrate the diverse paths of prosperity in my life. O Daekk, Eternal Child of Alaway, may your blessings flow unceasingly into my heart, guiding my actions and illuminating the lives of those around me. So shall it be, in reverence and love for Daekk, the generous spirit of wealth and sustenance, forever illuminating our lives with abundance.

My Prayer to the Briora, Keepers of Wisdom

O Wise Briora, Spirits of Knowledge and Order, I call upon you, revered protectors of our cherished tomes and sacred scrolls. In your diminutive forms, you embody the vast wisdom of ages, and I bow before your eternal essence, forever entwined with the treasures of literature. O Briora, guardians of the libraries, bring forth your light to illuminate my mind and heart. As you wander amongst the shelves, sorting and reading, infuse my thoughts with understanding, and guide my quest for knowledge. Let your whispers steer me towards the truths hidden within the pages of the books, where wisdom dwells like a precious gem. With humble reverence, I offer thanks for the peace and order you bring to our sacred spaces. O Briora, as you lovingly arrange the volumes that tell our stories, grant me the wisdom to organize my own life, bringing clarity and harmony to the chaos that often arises. May my path be as well-ordered as the books upon the shelves you adore.

O Gentle Spirits, may my heart always seek knowledge as a treasure waiting to be discovered. In times of doubt and confusion, may I remember your presence as I turn each page, feeling your guiding hand in every word. As you dwell among the whispers of our histories, inspire me to listen, learn, and grow. In honor of your tireless work, I lay before you simple gifts—candles to illuminate the dark corners of wisdom and incense to waft the fragrant essence of devotion. May these offerings please your spirits, for they are but small reflections of my respect and appreciation for your guardianship over the knowledge we treasure. So shall it be, enveloped in the blessings of the Briora, the wise protectors of books and guardians of knowledge.

Bowynn Gods: The Hlenn

Hlenn  (Hlen)  The Hlenn are one of the most popular of the Kii. They are much like their American/European Elven cousins and Nymphs. They are human in size and look most like mortal folk in all respects, but they are thin in nature and have long-ish ears and doe-like facial features, particularly the eyes. These Hlenn are said to be the champions and guardians of all woodlands. The know instantly when a leaf falls and withers and when a fern stalk breaks through the ground. They are very untrusting and cautious of mortal man. But there are tales of some Hlenn, male and female, that have fallen for mortals as well. However, it must be remembered that while the Hlenn looks like mortals in many ways and live like them, they are spirits and need to be respected as so. Bowynn folk will not enter a woodland nor leave it without leaving a respectable gift to the Hlenn,
